Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dishwasher with a washing container and a U-shaped condensation chamber arranged outside the washing container, one leg of which is connected to an opening of the washing container and the other leg of which is guided to the ambient air via an outlet, with an appropriate design the condensation chamber can run back at least part of the condensation water that forms into the rinsing container.
  • the air inside the dishwasher rinse container is very rich in water.
  • the dishes are rinsed at high temperatures (60 ° C to 70 ° C), which leads to a supersaturated atmosphere in the dishwasher. Since there are no suitable cooling surfaces and an air exchange almost does not take place, this leads to very poor drying results in the subsequent drying process if no special measures are taken.
  • the saturated air can no longer absorb water and therefore no longer contribute to drying. Removing the dishes immediately after the washing process usually requires additional drying by hand in order, for. B. to get shiny and spotless dishes. Height Temperature and humidity also lead to signs of corrosion on glass and cutlery over time.
  • a significant improvement in the drying effect is achieved by a so-called open system, in which all or part of the moist air is led out from the interior during the rinsing and drying process.
  • the moist air leading to the outside has a detrimental effect on the environment.
  • worktops or kitchen furniture can swell.
  • EP-A-0 381 647 discloses a dishwasher of the type mentioned at the outset.
  • the condensation chamber consists of one or more U-shaped conduit tubes which are connected at one end to a side opening of the washing compartment via a common connection and the free ends of which are via outlet openings into the space between the housing and Open the rinsing container.
  • the conduit tubes run in the form of an arch within a plane parallel to a side wall in such a way that the free outlet openings lie below the side opening of the container.
  • the connecting tubes run from the container opening in the side wall over the ceiling of the container and also end on the opposite side wall in such a way that the outlet openings lie below the side opening of the container.
  • the part of the connecting tubes running above the ceiling of the container is arranged obliquely, so that condensate that forms runs back into the container by gravity. The condensed water emerging at the outlet openings is in a small tub caught.
  • the invention has for its object to simplify and improve a dishwasher of the type mentioned with regard to the device for drying.
  • the opening for connecting the condensation chamber is arranged on the ceiling of the washing compartment, that the U-shaped condensation chamber extends with both legs above the ceiling side of the washing compartment and is provided with a drain opening in the curved area and that both legs of the condensation chamber are inclined towards the drain opening opposite the ceiling.
  • the arrangement of the opening in the ceiling area of the rinsing container results in a short path for the moisture-laden air from the container into the condensation chamber. The vapor that mostly collects in the upper part of the rinsing container can thus be discharged directly into the condensation chamber.
  • Both legs are space-saving in practically one level above the rinsing tank, with a simple possibility for the condensate collecting to run off in that the drain opening is arranged in the region of the curvature of the U-shaped condensation chamber. Both legs are inclined towards this outlet opening in relation to the ceiling. It is thereby achieved that the condensed water, which collects in the two legs of the condensation chamber, is led to the drain opening over a short distance.
  • the condensation chamber is in for space-saving reasons Embodiment of the invention designed as a rectangular tube. This shape also enables easy assembly.
  • the rectangular tube is funnel-shaped in the entrance area to the opening of the rinsing container. This ensures that spray water flows from the washing container back into the washing container immediately.
  • This funnel-shaped training can, for. B. can be achieved in that the entrance area is formed on the floor and ceiling side with bevels which are directed toward the opening of the washing compartment.
  • the rectangular tube has baffles which are directed vertically downward from their ceiling side and form a distance from the floor.
  • baffles which are directed vertically downward from their ceiling side and form a distance from the floor.
  • the drain opening on the curvature of the condensation chamber is connected via a hose connection to a further opening on a side wall of the rinsing container.
  • This further opening in the side wall of the rinsing container serves as air compensation for the air laden with moisture that flows out through the ceiling opening into the condensation chamber.
  • the hose connection is guided into a regeneration metering which is arranged on a side wall of the washing container and is connected on the one hand to the lateral opening of the washing container and on the other hand to the outside air.
  • Fig. 1 shows a washing container 10, which is provided on its ceiling 10a with an opening 11 for connecting a condensation chamber 12.
  • the U-shaped condensation chamber 12 is connected via a hose connection 13 to a regeneration metering device 14, which can be connected to a further opening 15 in a side wall 10b of the washing container via a connection piece (not shown).
  • the regeneration dosage 14 is connected via an outlet opening 14b connected to the outside air.
  • the condensation chamber 12 is designed in the form of a U-shaped rectangular tube and is connected to the opening 11 of the washing compartment 10 via its short leg 12a.
  • this short leg is provided on the bottom and on the ceiling with bevels 17 which are oriented in such a way that splash water flows from the washing container 10 in the direction of the arrows 18 back into the washing container.
  • baffle walls 19 are provided over the entire course of the tubular condensation chamber and extend downward from the top side 12c of the condensation chamber 12 towards the bottom 12d. Their distance 20, 21 to the floor 12d becomes smaller and smaller in the direction of the pipe outlet 22.
  • the baffle walls 19 give the condensation chamber 12 a sawtooth-shaped configuration on its upper side.
  • the condensation chamber is provided with a drain opening 12e to which the hose 13 is connected.
  • both legs 12a, b are inclined towards the drain opening 12e.
  • the condensate which forms on the baffle walls 19 and on the inner walls of the condensation chamber 12 and collects in the form of drops flows due to the inclination of the legs 12a, b to the outlet opening 12e and can thus be fed back into the washing container 10 via the connecting hose 13 and the regeneration metering device 14.
  • the design of the baffle walls 19 and their distances 20, 21 from the floor surface 12d are decisive for the flow rate due to the free convection emerging train. In order to prevent the condensate from closing, however, the gaps between the baffle walls 19 and the floor 12d must not be made too small.
  • the vapors produced during the heating up of the washing liquor, saturated moist air and very fine water droplets escape during the washing process via the ventilation opening 11 on the ceiling 10a of the washing container 10 (volume increase in the air due to heating).
  • This vapor then flows through the condensation chamber 12.
  • the water is removed from the vapor by the temperature difference and impact effect, and the air 23, which is only comparable with the ambient air, is supplied to the environment via the outlet 22.
  • the vapors in the rinsing container 10 are removed in the same way via the ventilation opening 11 and the condensation chamber 12.
  • the resulting draft is generated by the thermals of the warm air.
  • Air is equalized via the further ventilation opening 15 in the side wall 10b.
  • the incoming air 24, which reaches the washing compartment 10 from the engine compartment via this ventilation opening 15, is colder and drier than the air in the washing compartment 10. Once there, it sinks, heats up on hot dishes 25 and rises in the washing container 10 (arrows 26). It absorbs water, which is then excreted again in the condenser 12.
  • the water excreted in the condensation chamber 12 is fed through the connecting hose 13, the regeneration dosage 14 and through the opening 15 into the Rinsing container 10 led back.
  • an air duct is formed between the rinsing container and a housing 27 surrounding it through a not shown saving of the noise insulation to be used.
