Definitions

  • the invention relates to an interior for protective helmets, with a head ring, to which a harness spanning the apex area and the ends of a neck band encompassing the back of the head in the neck area are connected, which is also connected in the rear area to the head ring, and with a continuous one under the chin Chin strap.
  • the ends of the chin strap are connected directly to the head ring, in the direction towards the forehead of the helmet wearer, in front of the fastening points of the neck strap.
  • the interior features a length-adjustable band holding the neck band between the head ring and the neck band.
  • the neck strap is also adjustable in length, as is the chin strap.
  • the invention has for its object to improve and further develop an interior of the type mentioned that overall results in a better and firmer fit of the helmet, without it being necessary to adjust the length of the neck strap and the needs of each Customize helmet wearer.
  • the head ring in the neck region is provided with a plurality of tongues which are arranged next to one another in the ring circumferential direction and are directed downward and which have guide receptacles for the neck band at the end of the tongue, in which the neck band is displaceable in its longitudinal direction and in through the tongue length is kept a predetermined distance from the head ring, and that the chin strap is connected to the neck band on both sides between its end on the head ring and the first tongue.
  • the interior equipment according to the invention has the essential advantage that the chin strap on the neck strap automatically tensions the latter with the chin strap and that the course of the neck strap in the neck region of the helmet wearer cannot change because of the guidance of the neck strap through the tongues.
  • a length adjustment of the neck band is no longer necessary and therefore in the invention Interior also no longer provided.
  • a preferred embodiment is characterized in that the chin strap is held at its ends by a buckle and the buckle is displaceable on the neck strap, which is associated with the advantage that the attachment point of the chin strap on the neck strap moves slightly and thus in a simple manner can adjust a force balance between the neck band and the chin band. So that the buckle does not interfere when wearing the helmet, the arrangement is expediently such that a pocket hangs on the side of the head ring in the area of its connections to the neck band, which receives the buckle connecting the chin band to the neck band and pocket openings downwards and backwards for the exit of the chin strap or neck strap.
  • the neck band In the interior of the invention, held by the tongues, the neck band can run very deep in the neck area of the wearer.
  • the head ring can therefore run comparatively high on the head in the area of the forehead without the fit of the interior and thus of the protective helmet being impaired thereby.
  • the head ring consists of a rear headband which surrounds the back of the head up to the ears and a headband which extends over the forehead, the plane of the headband being upwards relative to that of the back headband is inclined at an obtuse angle, and that a neck strap is provided at a distance below the back of the head and essentially parallel to it
  • the back of the headband is connected in the area of the temple ends by plate-like connecting parts overlapping the ears and between the tongues by spacing struts, the neck band running on the inside of the helmet of the spacing struts and the connecting parts.
  • the interior and, accordingly, the helmet shell that holds it then still protrude downward over the neck band and provide optimal neck protection, so that such a protective helmet is particularly well suited for fire-fighting purposes.
  • the tongues with the tongue root are expediently connected laterally to the spacer struts.
  • a preferred embodiment then consists in that the neckband with the spacer struts and tongues and the connecting parts is produced as a flat, one-piece stamped part or as an injection molded part and is bent into the form of the temple.
  • the guide receptacles in the tongue ends preferably consist of two slits which run transversely to the longitudinal direction of the neck band and are separated from one another by a web, the web overlapping the outside of the neck band being deformed outward by about the thickness of the neck band over the tongue plane and the neck band otherwise on the outside facing side of the tongue.
  • the tongue ends Under the pull of the neck band, the tongue ends are then pressed against the head of the helmet wearer, so that this tongue system on the head ensures that the interior is firmly attached.
  • the tongues expediently carry at least in the area of their ends which have the guide receptacles for the neck band and are directed towards the inside of the helmet.
  • the distance struts can be around in the neck band the band thickness must be cranked outwards, which corresponds to the deformation of the web on the tongues, so that the tongues and the spacer struts can be aligned with one another in the circumferential direction of the back of the head or neck strap without the neck band experiencing a kink in between.
  • the ends of the headband and the headband and the plate-shaped connecting part overlap together over the width of the latter and are connected to one another, which results in a stable stiffening between the back of the head and the headband.
  • the connecting parts that are stably connected to one another in this way are then particularly well suited for connecting further helmet equipment parts, such as, for example, a pivotable visor visor, a chin guard, respiratory protection devices or the like.
  • a very advantageous embodiment with regard to the comfort of the helmet wearer is characterized in that a lining sleeve is arranged between the neckband and the back of the headband on the inside of the helmet on both sides of the helmet, the spacer struts, the tongues and the connecting parts, and the lower edge is turned around the neckband and on the upper edge forms rags which are inserted and held on the back of the headband between the latter and the spacer struts, and which are sewn to the rear edge of the pocket and are provided with a window at the pocket opening there for the passage of the neck band.
  • the lining cuff completely covers the spacer struts, the tongues with the padding and the neck strap against the inside of the helmet.
  • the interior shown in the drawing for a safety helmet, not shown itself, has a head ring, generally designated 1, to which a harness 2 which extends across the apex area is connected at the top.
  • This harness consists in particular of a generally made of leather carrying hood 3 with a star-shaped converging towards the apex, contracted by an annularly closed band 4 flap 3 'and a crown pad 6 provided above and connected to the head ring 1 by bands 5 by adjustment
  • the band 4 connecting the tabs 3 'to one another, the interior can be adapted to different head sizes.
  • the ends 7 ′ of a neck band 7 encompassing the back of the head in the neck area are connected further downward to the head ring 1.
  • a chin strap 8 extending under the chin, which consists of two sections 8 ′, 8 ′′, which are connected to one another by a lock 9 can be.
  • the two chin strap sections 8 ', 8'' are shown with the lock 9 closed.
  • the head ring 1 is distributed in the neck area with several in the ring circumferential direction and is provided with mutually spaced apart and downward tongues 10.
  • the tongues 10 have guide receptacles 12 for the neck band 7 at the tongue end 11.
  • the neck band 7 can be displaced in its longitudinal direction in these guide receptacles 12 and is held at a distance from the head ring 1 that is predetermined by the tongue length.
  • the chin strap 8 is connected to the neck strap 7 between its end 7 'on the head ring 1 and the first tongue, for which purpose a buckle 13 is used, which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction on the neck strap 7 and on which one of the chin strap sections 8', 8 '' is held at its end. If the chin strap 8 is closed as a result, the buckles 13 are also pulled downward by the pull of the chin strap 8, as a result of which the neck strap 7 is tensioned and, owing to the displaceability of the buckles 13 along the neck strap 7, a force balance between the neck strap 7 and the chin strap 8 sets.
  • a pocket 14 is attached to the side of the head ring 1 in the area of its connections to the neck band 7, which, hanging down, accommodates the buckle 13 and pocket openings 15 ′, 15 ′′ downwards and backwards for the exit of the chin band 8 or the neck band 7.
  • the head ring 1 is composed of a rear headband 16 which surrounds the back of the head up to above the ears and a headband 17 which extends over the forehead.
  • the plane of the headband 17 is inclined upward at an obtuse angle relative to that of the back of the headband 16, which is indicated in FIG. 2 between the traces of these planes indicated by dashed lines at 18.
  • a neckband 19 is provided, which runs at a distance below the rear headband 16 and essentially parallel to it.
  • the neckband 19 is connected to the back of the headband 16 in the region of the temple ends by plate-like connecting parts 20 which extend over the ears and between the tongues 10 by means of spacer struts 21.
  • the neck band 7 runs on the inside of the helmet of the spacer struts 21 and the connecting parts 20.
  • the tongues 10 are connected laterally to the spacer struts 21 with their tongue roots 10 '.
  • the guide receptacles 12 in the tongue ends 11 consist of two slots which run transversely to the longitudinal direction of the neck band 7 and are only separated from one another by a web 22.
  • the web 22 which extends beyond the neck band 7 on the outside is deformed outward by approximately the thickness of the neck band 7 over the tongue plane.
  • the neck band 7 rests on the outward side of the tongue ends 11.
  • the tongues 10 are provided, at least in the region of their contact against the head of the helmet wearer, with cushion pads 23 directed towards the inside of the helmet.
  • the spacer struts 21 in the area of the neck band 7 are cranked outward by approximately the band thickness at 24 each, so that the tongues 10 and the spacer struts 21 can be aligned with one another in the circumferential direction, but the neck band 7 runs smoothly between the spacer struts 21 and the tongues 10 can.
  • the ends of the back of the headband 16 and that of the headband 17 and the plate-like connecting parts 20 are connected to each other on both sides of the helmet at 25 so that they overlap together across the width of the connecting parts and are connected to one another by screws or rivets 26, so that one stable angular stiffening between the headband 17 and the rear headband 16 results.
  • the front bracket 17 is designed essentially in the manner of a U-shaped profile, the inner U-shaped flange 17 'serving to connect the supporting harness 2.
  • the connecting parts 20 are suitable for the attachment of further helmet equipment parts. For a more detailed explanation is - only in Fig. 1 - z. B.
  • a screen visor 27 is shown, which is pivotally mounted in rotary joints 28, wherein the downwardly pivoted state of the visor 27 is shown in Fig. 1. From this state, the visor 27 can be pivoted upwards in the direction of the arrow 40 via the face opening of the helmet. With 29 not shown in detail plug receptacles for attaching respiratory masks or the like.
  • a lining cuff 30 is arranged on the inside of the helmet of both temples and the spacer struts 21, the tongues 10 and the connecting parts 20. It is turned over with the lower edge 30 'around the neckband 19 and glued to it and forms on the upper edge tabs 31 which are inserted and held on the back of the headband 16 between the latter and the spacer struts 21, which is realized in detail so that on the The back of the headband 16 each has a tab 31, then one of the spacer struts 21, then a band 5 of the vertex cushion 6 and all these parts are then riveted together at 32.
  • the lining cuff 30 is sewn to the rear edge 33 of the pocket 14 and has a window 34 at the pocket opening 15 ′′ through which the neck band 7 exits the pocket 14 for the neck band 7 to pass through to the outside of the lining cuff 30 on the neckband 7, on the spacer struts 21, the headband 16, the headband 17 and the crown cushion 6 are each designated 35.
  • the interior described and shown can be completely installed outside the helmet shell.
  • threaded parts 36 are arranged with a nut thread, into which screws can be screwed from the outside through the helmet shell when the interior is inserted into the helmet shell, with the aid of which the interior fittings are fastened in the helmet shell can.
  • neckband Push-button parts 37 there are 19 inward on the neckband Push-button parts 37, to the inside of the interior of a not shown in the drawing, down over the lower neck part and the shoulder of the helmet wearer hanging cuff can be buttoned.
