  • the device has a storage magazine for defective cigarettes, a separating and transport device with a trough drum rotating about its axis, which has a number of trough-shaped depressions that are regularly distributed over the circumference, a fixing device for the singled cigarettes, a compressed air supply device that holds the tobacco inflates from the respectively fixed cigarettes, a receiving device for the blown-out tobacco and separately from this for the cigarette tubes, and an operating control device for the coordinated control of the devices of the device.
  • the filter cigarettes coming from the storage magazine for the defective cigarettes are separated on the bowl drum and transported further in the circumferential direction when the bowl drum is rotated.
  • a movable block which has fitting pieces on the mouthpiece parts of the filter cigarettes, at least one cigarette lying on the circumference of the hollow drum is gripped and held with its mouthpiece part, and then compressed air is blown through, so that the tobacco of the filter cigarette is ejected from the cigarette tube and transported to an associated tobacco collection facility.
  • the cigarette tubes with the associated mouthpiece parts and the filter are switched on when the Dump drum transported to an associated, further collection facility.
  • At least one further drum is provided, which is also designed as a trough drum and is arranged axially parallel at a distance from the first trough drum.
  • This second bowl drum rotates in the opposite direction to the first bowl drum.
  • a third trough drum can also be provided, which presses the filter cigarettes to loosen the tobacco filling.
  • the device also comprises two drums rotating in opposite directions, which are provided axially parallel and which have troughs on their circumference, each of which holds a cigarette.
  • a device for supplying compressed air is also provided, which directs compressed air against the tobacco in the cigarette tubes of the individual cigarettes, and a drum can be provided which is provided with air lines which, in turn, cover with successive troughs during the rotational movement to cover them Dump drum come. Compressed air can thus be directed via the lines against the tobacco in the successive cigarettes.
  • the lines can be designed as hollow needles that are transverse to the axis of the cigarettes are displaceable in the recesses against the cigarette tube, so that the needles also form a fixing device for the cigarettes.
  • the cigarette tubes and tobacco and any filter parts that may be present are collected and collected in separate containers.
  • the invention aims to provide a device for tobacco recovery from defective cigarettes and a method for operating the same which overcomes the above-described difficulties and which allows a quick and reliable separation of cigarette tubes, optionally the filter part, and tobacco in a fully automatic manner.
  • a bowl drum is provided for separation and for further transport, which is followed in axial extension by a perforated drum rotating in the same direction, which has receiving bores into which the cigarettes separated on the bowl drum can be completely introduced, so that afterwards a fixation with the aid of compressed air, the tobacco can be blown out of the cigarette tube and, after the fixing device has been loosened, the cigarette tube can optionally be ejected from the receiving bore with the filter part attached to it by means of a further pressure application and transported to the assigned collection and receiving device.
  • This arrangement of trough drum and perforated drum, which form a rotating unit, can be achieved in connection with the control device formed by a control ring that during a complete revolution of this unit in one predetermined workflow, the cigarettes are separated, fixed and the tobacco is blown out of them, the movable devices of the device ensuring reliable cooperation, since there is a synchronous synchronization of the bowl drum, perforated drum and control ring of the control device. Therefore, with the aid of the device according to the invention, the tobacco can be reliably recovered from defective cigarettes in a fully automatic manner during the execution of a rotary movement of the two drums forming a movement unit. With the aid of the device according to the invention, high output rates are achieved during the continuous rotation of the two drums forming a movement unit.
  • each receiving bore in the perforated drum is assigned two axially spaced fixing needles, so that relatively high blowing pressures for blowing out the tobacco from the cigarette tubes can be used to improve the performance of the device, since the cigarette is reliably held at a distance from its mouthpiece part by the two fixing needles is.

  • This control ring is designed as a type of slip ring that is constantly pressed against the end face of the perforated drum in order to prevent it from lifting off from the perforated drum under the alternating negative and positive pressures.
  • control ring in this design serves as a stop device, by means of which the cigarettes always lie reliably, regardless of their length, with their mouthpiece part so far inside the receiving bores of the perforated drum that the fixing device can reliably hold the relevant cigarette.
  • the device is designed such that the control ring during a complete revolution at least a predetermined angular zone as a control zone for applying a negative pressure for sucking in the cigarettes into the receiving bores and an angular zone as a control zone for introducing compressed air to blow out the tobacco passes out of the cigarette tubes in the receiving holes.
  • openings are preferably provided, via which a connection can be established with an associated compressed air supply device or a suction pressure generating device. The corresponding size of the openings in the angular direction can then be used to determine the time in connection with the rotational speed of the rotating unit of the two drums during which suction pressure or overpressure acts on the cigarettes in the receiving bores.
  • the control for the work steps to be carried out on the device also takes place via a control device which is effective in the sense of rotation, so that all movement sequences can be controlled directly during the rotary movement.
