Abstract
Description
- Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Mast für Segelschiffe in Form eines versteiften Profilkörpers, der drehbar am Schiffskörper angeordnet und mit seinem Mastfuß zwischen Deck- und Kielbereich des Schiffes drehbar eingespannt gehalten ist sowie am rückwärtigen Mastbereich eine Aufnahmekammer für ein Segel als Rollreff aufweist und das Segel über eine Schlitzöffnung im Endbereich des Profilkörpers austritt.
- Eine derartige Ausbildung ist nach der US-PS 4 149 482 bekannt. Hierbei wird der Mast entsprechend den vorliegenden Verhältnissen in einem Winkel angestellt. Es bestehen aber in der Praxis Probleme, den Übergangsbereich von Profil und Segel im Bereich des Austrittsschlitzes strömungsgünstig an der Lee-Seite zu gestalten. Somit entstehen in diesem Übergangsbereich relativ große Störungen.
- Eine weitere gattungsgemäße Ausbildung ist nach der DE-PS 31 20 472 bekannt, wobei die Anstellung des Mastes über eine aufwendige Mechanik erfolgt und für Yachten nicht umsetzbar ist.
- Die Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es eine gattungsgemäße Anordnung zu verbessern und eine Mastausbildung mit einem anpassungsfähigen Austrittsbereich zu schaffen, der einen strömungsgünstigen Übergang gewährleistet und günstige Verhältnisse beim Verdrehen des Mastes entsprechend den vorliegenden Bedingungen ermöglicht.
- Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe erfolgt erfindungsgemäß dadurch, daß die Wandungsteile zur Bildung der Aufnahmekammer für das Rollreff elastische Bereiche zur Ausbildung federnd nachführbarer Endleisten zur Begrenzung der Schlitzöffnung aufweist und elastisch federnd gegeneinander preßbar sind.
- Hierdurch wird ein anpassungsfähiger Übergangsbereich des Profilkörpers zum Segel geschaffen, so daß kein Abriß der Strömung erfolgt.
- Eine günstige Ausbildung wird dadurch geschaffen, daß die Endleisten an der dem Segel zugewandten Seite als erhabenes Profil ausgebildet sind.
- Zur Verstellung des Mastes wird vorgeschlagen, daß im vorderen Bereich des Profilkörpers als Profilnase nach beiden Seiten verlaufende Fangstage zur Verdrehung des Profilkörpers angreifen. Hierbei ist als günstige Ausgestaltung vorgesehen, daß die Fangstage beider Seiten über eine Antriebsvorrichtung für die Drehbewegung einstellbar gekoppelt sind.
- Ein einfacher Aufbau dieses Mastes wird dadurch erreicht, daß der Profilkörper durch Halbschalen aus kohlenstoffaserverstärktem Kunststoff (CFK) gebildet ist, die durch Holme im vorderen Bereich biegesteif verbunden sind.
- Damit der Mast als Profilkörper bei Sturm und Starkwinden keine Gefahr für das Schiff darstellt, ist vorgesehen, daß der Profilkörper eine Aufnahme für ein im oberen Mastbereich befestigtes großvolumiges Seil zur spiralförmigen Umwicklung als Strömungsstörung aufweist.
- In den Zeichnungen ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung schematisch dargestellt. Es zeigen:

- eine Rückenansicht des Mastes mit einer zugeordneten Zylinderanordnung zur Verdrehung des Mastes über Fangstage,

- einen hinteren Teil des Profilkörpers mit einer Schlitzöffnung für das Segel und Endleisten als erhobene Profilelemente in vergrößerter Darstellung,
- Fig. 5
- einen Profilmast mit umwickelten Seil zur Strömungsstörung.
- Der dargestellte Profilmast 1 ist mit seinem Mastfuß 3 zwischen Deck- und Kielbereich 3,4 des Schiffes 5 drehbar eingespannt. Hierbei ist der Profilmast 1 über eine drehbare Toplagerung 6 mit einem Vor- und Achterstag 7,8 gehalten. Die Drehbarkeit des Profilmastes 1 wird über an der Profilnase angreifende und zu beiden Seiten geführte Fangstage 9 durchgeführt. Die Befestigung erfolgt etwa unterhalb der halben Masthöhe. Beide Stage 9 sind über eine Zylinderanordnung 10 zusammengeführt, die zur Verdrehung und zum Verspannen des Profilmastes 1 entsprechend betätigbar sind.
- Der Profilmast 1 wird durch Halbschalen gebildet, die durch Holme 11,12 zur Bildung eines vorderen Bereiches 13 als biegesteifen Träger. Im hinteren Bereich des Profilmastes 1 wird eine Aufnahmekammer 14 für eine Rollenanordnung 21 gebildet, die das Segel 15 als Rollreff über eine Schlitzöffnung 15 aufnimmt. Die in diesem Bereich angeordneten jeweiligen gegenüberliegende Wandungsteile 17 besitzen entsprechende Verdünnungen der Wandstärke zur Ausbildung elastischer Bereiche 13. Hierbei sind die die Schlitzöffnung 16 bildenden Endbereiche als starre Endleisten 19 ausgebildet, die der dem Segel 15 zugewandten Seite erhobene Profile aufweisen und durch die elastischen Bereiche 18 der Wandungsteile 17 federnd ausgebildet sind.
- Während des Segelvorganges wird der Profilmast 1 über die Fangstage 9 und die Zylinderanordnung 10 in eine entsprechende Anstellung gebracht und das über die Schlitzöffnung 16 austretende Segel 15 bildet durch die sich entsprechend sich einstellenden Endleisten 19 der Wandungsteile 17 immer eine Anlage zum Segel 15 und verhindert einen Abriß der Strömung.
- Bei derartigen Profilmasten 1 besteht die Gefahr, daß bei Sturm mit Starkwinden durch Anliegen der Strömung eine Gefahr für das Schiff besteht. Für diese Betriebsphase ist vorgesehen, daß der Profilmast 1 eine Aufnahme für ein im oberen Mastbereich befestigtes großvolumiges Seil 20 besitzt. Diese Seil 20 dient zur spiralförmigen Umwicklung des Profilmastes 1 zur Strömungsstörung.
Claims (6)
- Mast für Segelschiffe in Form eines versteiften Profilkörpers (1), der drehbar am Schiffskörper angeordnet und mit seinem Mastfuß (2) zwischen Deck- und Kielbereich (3, 4)des Schiffes drehbar eingespannt gehalten ist sowie am rückwärtigen Mastbereich eine Aufnahmekammer (14) für ein Segel (15) als Rollreff aufweist und das Segel über eine Schlitzöffnung (16) im Endbereich des Profilkörpers (1) austritt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wandungsteile (17) zur Bildung der Aufnahmekammer (14) für das Rollreff (15,21) elastische Bereiche (18) zur Ausbildung federnd nachführbarer Endleisten (19) zur Begrenzung der Schlitzöffnung (16) aufweist und elastisch federnd gegeneinander preßbar sind.
- Mast nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Endleisten (19) an der dem Segel (15) zugewandten Seite als erhabenes Profil ausgebildet sind.
- Mast nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im vorderen Bereich (13) des Profilkörpers (1) als Profilnase nach beiden Seiten verlaufende Fangstage (9) zur Verdrehung des Profilkörpers (1) angreifen.
- Mast nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Fangstage (9) beider Seiten über eine Antriebsvorrichtung (10) für die Drehbewegung einstellbar gekoppelt sind.
- Mast nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Profilkörper (1) durch Halbschalen aus kohlenstoffaserverstärktem Kunststoff (CFK) gebildet ist, die durch Holme (11, 12) im vorderen Bereich biegesteif verbunden sind.
- Mast nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Profilkörper (1) eine Aufnahme für ein im oberen Mastbereich befestigtes großvolumiges Seil (20) zur spiralförmigen Umwicklung als Strömungsstörung aufweist.
