Claims (19)
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von thixotropen metallischen Produkten, insbesondere von Produkten aus Aluminiumlegierung, mittels Strangguß, bei denen wenigstens ein Teil der Primärphase in Form von aus degenerierten Dendriten entstandenen Knötchen (nodules) vorliegt, wobei das flüssige Metall in eine in ihrem stromabwärtigen Bereich durch einen beweglichen Boden verschlossene Form gegossen wird, die aus zwei Bereichen mit derselben Achse aufgebaut ist:a) einem stromaufwärtigen, als heiße Zone (1) bezeichneten Bereich, dessen Wand wenigstens an ihrer Innenseite aus wärmeisolierendem Material gefertigt ist,b) einem stromabwärtigen, als kalte Zone (3) bezeichneten Bereich, dessen aus wärmeleitendem Material gefertigte Wand durch ein Kühlfluid (5) gekühlt wird, um im flüssigen Metall die Erscheinung von Primärkristallen und in Kontakt mit der gekühlten Wand die Bildung einer festen Kruste und einer Verfestigungsfront (7) hervorzurufen, was die fortschreitende Ausziehung des Produkts mit Hilfe des beweglichen Bodens ermöglicht,dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß um die heiße und die kalte Zone der Form eine Reihe von aus ringförmigen Spulen gebildeten Induktoren angeordnet wird, deren Achse die Achse der Form ist, und die mit mehrphasigem Strom in einer derartigen Phasenfolge versorgt werden, daß im Innern der Form ein parallel zur Achse der Form wanderndes, sich in eine oder die andere Richtung oder abwechselnd in eine und dann die andere Richtung fortpflanzendes Feld entsteht, das elektromagnetische Kräfte hervorruft, die das Metall zu Bewegungen in durch die Achse der Form verlaufenden Ebenen antreiben und die Übertragung von dendritischen Kristallen von der kalten Zone in die heiße Zone (10) und zurück (11) sicherstellen, um ein oberflächliches Aufschmelzen dieser Kristalle und ihre Degeneration zu Knötchen sicherzustellen. - Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Guß vertikal durchgeführt wird. - Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Guß horizontal durchgeführt wird. - Vorrichtung für den Strangguß von thixotropen metallischen Produkten, mit einer in ihrem stromabwärtigen Bereich durch einen beweglichen Boden verschlossenen Form, die aus zwei Bereichen mit derselben Achse gegildet ist:
einem stromaufwärtigen, als heiße Zone (1) bezeichneten Bereich, dessen Wand wenigstens an ihrer Innenseite aus thermisch isolierendem Material gebildet ist,
einem stromabwärtigen, als kalte Zone (3) bezeichneten Bereich, dessen aus wärmeleitendem Material gebildete Wand durch ein Kühlfluid (5) gekühlt ist, wobei ein System zur Bewegung des beweglichen Bodens die fortschreitende Ausziehung des Produkts ermöglicht,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß um die heiße und die kalte Zone der Form eine Serie von aus ringförmigen Wicklungen bestehenden Induktoren angeordnet sind, deren Achse die Achse der Form ist, und die mit mehrphasigem Strom in einer solchen Phasenfolge versorgt werden, daß im Innern der Form ein parallel zur Achse wanderndes, sich in eine oder die andere Richtung oder abwechselnd in die eine und dann in die andere Richtung fortpflanzendes Feld erzeugt, das elektromagnetische Kräfte in durch die Achse der Form verlaufenden Ebenen hervorruft. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 4,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Achse der Form vertikal ist. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 4,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Achse der Form horizontal ist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 6,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Innenwand der in der kalten Zone liegenden Kokille auf ihrem gesamten Umfang und in ihrem am weitesten stromaufwärtigen Bereich mit einem Graphitring versehen ist, der dieselbe Achse wie die Kokille hat. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 6,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Innenwand der in der kalten Zone liegenden Kokille auf ihrem gesamten Umfang und in ihrem am weitesten stromaufwärts liegenden Bereich von Graphitstäben durchbrochen ist, die das Schmiermittel der Innenwand der Kokille zuführen. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 8,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Wicklungen mit dreiphasigem Strom versorgt werden. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 9,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Gesamtlänge der Wicklungen ein Vielfaches des Polabstands ist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 10,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Kühlsystem des stromabwärtigen Bereichs aus einem von einem Wassertank herrührenden Film gebildet ist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 10,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Kühlsystem des stromabwärtigen Bereichs aus einem an die Kokille angebauten Wassertank gebildet ist, der an seiner Basis Wasserstrahlen oder eine Wasserschicht bildet, die das gegossene Produkt benetzen. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 12,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Wicklungen in Form übereinanderliegender Scheiben aus gekühltem Kupferrohr oder Kupferdraht gebildet sind. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 13,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Scheiben in Kerben eines aus Platten geschichteten Magnetjochs angeordnet sind. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 14,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Wicklungen aus dünnen ringförmigen metallischen Scheiben, vorzugsweise aus Kupfer, gebildet sind, von denen jede mit einem radialen Spalt versehen ist, und die mit einem durch den Spalt gegebenen Winkelversatz von einer Scheibe zur darauffolgenden aufgeschichtet sind, und wobei zwischen zwei benachbarten Scheiben ein Isolatorblatt angeordnet ist, ausgenommen in der Zone zwischen den Spalten zweier benachbarter Scheiben, um so eine Kontaktfläche zwischen diesen beiden Scheiben herzustellen und die Kontinuität der Wicklung sicherzustellen. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 15,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die so gebildeten Wicklungen in einer von einer Wasserströmung durchlaufenen ringförmigen Kammer angeordnet sind, die die Gußform umgibt und mit Mitteln zum Einklemmen des Kupferplattenstapels und der Isolatorblätter versehen ist, und daß die Kupfer- und Isolatorscheiben mit fluchtenden Löchern versehen sind, die die Zirkulation des Kühlwassers ermöglichen. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 16,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Außenwand der Kammer aus einem magnetischen Joch gebildet ist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 12 bis 14,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Wicklungen, um ihre Kühlung sicherzustellen, in dem an die Kokille angebauten Wassertank angeordnet sind. - Vorrichtung nach den Ansprüchen 15 und 16,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die zur Kühlung der Kupfer- und Isolatorplattenstapel bestimmte Kammer von der zur Kühlung des gegossenen Produkts bestimmten Kammer gebildet wird, deren Innenwand die stromaufwärts mit einem wärmeisolierenden Material verkleidete Kokille ist.
