Definitions
- the invention relates to an injection packer for injecting synthetic resin into concrete cracks according to the preamble of claim 1.
- An injection packer is known from DE-A-32 03 871, which consists of a plastic sleeve with a lateral surface tapering towards the front end and has a spray nipple that can be attached to the rear end. By means of its tapered lateral surface, this known injection packer can be wedged in the borehole, whereby considerable spreading forces occur. If this known injection packer is driven into a steeply inclined borehole, the high spreading forces can lead to parts flaking off the concrete masonry.
- Injection packers are often hammered into holes that have been made at an angle of 45 degrees in a concrete part to be renovated.
- the hole is drilled so deep in the concrete that the cracks to be sprayed with synthetic resin are cut by the hole.
- the epoxy resin can be pressed at a pressure of 100 bar to 150 bar through the injection packer and through the further drilling into the crack to be repaired.
- an injection packer is known from DE-U-85 23 152, which is designed as a dowel element.
- a hard plastic body equipped with the injection channel and the spray nipple serves as an expansion element and is driven into an expansion sleeve made of soft material.
- the known injection packer is used in such a way that the expansion sleeve is inserted into the prepared borehole and then the hard plastic body is hammered into the sleeve.
- the inner bore of the soft sleeve is conical and in the front area it is considerably smaller in diameter than the outer diameter of the plastic body.
- the invention has for its object to provide a one-piece injection packer that can be used in inclined holes without problems and has both high holding values and a good sealing function.
- the sealing sleeve which is made of softer material than the plastic body, is so flexible and elastic, particularly in the extended section of the sealing sleeve, that an optimal seal and even distribution of the spreading forces is achieved even with non-circular boreholes. Due to the continuation of the diameter of the injection channel onto the extended section of the sealing sleeve, it is avoided that an injection pressure which additionally affects the connection between the plastic body and the sealing sleeve acts on the end face of the plastic body. The injection pressure acting in the injection channel of the extended section of the sealing sleeve creates a radial deformation, which translates into a higher frictional force of the sealing sleeve in the borehole.
- the plastic body on which the sealing sleeve is arranged consists of a much harder material, preferably of glass fiber reinforced polyamide.
- This hard material has the advantage; that the injection packer can be hammered into the borehole without any problems and, after the injection process, the part of the injection packer projecting at the borehole opening can be knocked off with a hammer or the like.
- the sealing sleeve can have collars lying one behind the other, each of which has conical ring surfaces towards the front end, so that the injection packer is easier to drive into a borehole.
- the entire sealing collar preferably tapers towards the front end, its maximum outside diameter of course being larger than the borehole diameter of the associated borehole, so that the injection packer is tightly clamped in the borehole.
- the sealing sleeve made of soft material encompasses ring bundles of the plastic body, which expand towards its front end. This has the great advantage that an axial displacement of the plastic body in the direction of the borehole opening in the region of the ring collars produces an expansion pressure which acts essentially radially on the sealing collar and thus presses it even more against the borehole wall.
- the annular collars preferably have frustoconical outer surfaces which are encompassed by the sealing collar in a form-fitting manner.
- Each of the ring collars thus acts as an expansion body, which widens the sealing collar when axially displaced.
- a force component oriented axially in the direction of the borehole opening can act on the plastic body. This force component generates a radial force component in the region of the frustoconical or conical outer surfaces of the ring collars, which promotes tight sealing of the sealing sleeve in the borehole.
- some of the ring collars provided on the outside of the sealing collar can have a larger diameter than the shaft of the plastic body, which is adapted to the borehole diameter.
- the elastic ring collars with an enlarged diameter ensure a stable mechanical connection between the sealing collar and the borehole wall, which does not lose its sealing function even at high pressures.
- the sealing sleeve is preferably sprayed onto the initially produced plastic body in a two-component injection molding process, profiles being formed on the plastic body in the area of the sealing sleeve, which bring about a positive connection between the sealing sleeve and the plastic body.
- This positive connection is very advantageous because of the high pressure forces that occur during the injection process, since it ensures an extremely stable mechanical connection between the plastic body and the sealing sleeve.
- the injection packer shown in FIG. 1 consists of a plastic body 1 with a spray nipple 2 and a sealing sleeve 3 which is sprayed on at the front end of the plastic part 1.
- the plastic part 1 consists of glass fiber reinforced polyamide, while the sealing sleeve 3 is made of a softer plastic material, for example polyurethane or polyethylene.
- the spray nipple 2 leads to an injection channel 4, which runs axially through the entire injection packer. Part of the injection channel 4 is formed by a through channel 5 of the sealing sleeve 3.
- the sealing sleeve 3 has a plurality of ring collars 6 arranged one behind the other, which are shown in longitudinal section as teeth.
- the bundles of rings 6 are frustoconical in shape, their diameter tapering towards the front end.
- the sealing sleeve 3 tapers overall to the front end 7, so that the diameter of the individual ring bundles 6 decreases towards the front end 7. This approximately wedge-shaped course of the sealing sleeve 3 ensures that the sealing sleeve 3 is firmly pressed into the borehole 8 (FIG. 2) and anchored the injection packer in a sealing manner.
- sealing sleeve 3 and the plastic body 1 are firmly connected to one another, which is why a profile 9 is provided on the plastic body 1 in the area of the sealing sleeve 3, which produces a positive connection to the sealing sleeve 3.
- the sealing sleeve 3 is sprayed onto the plastic body 1 in a two-component injection molding process, where an optimal connection to the plastic body 1 is obtained.
- the injection packer driven into a borehole 8 is shown in FIG.
- the borehole 8 cuts a crack 10 to be sprayed with synthetic resin, which is provided with a seal 12 on the wall surface of the concrete masonry 11.
- epoxy resin can be injected through the injection packer into the borehole 8 and further into the crack 10 by means of a high pressure press known per se.
- the spray pressure can be in the range from 100 bar to 150 bar and higher.
- the plastic body 1 has, in the area that penetrates into the sealing sleeve 3, a plurality of ring bundles 20 arranged one behind the other, against which correspondingly conical inner surfaces 21 of the sealing sleeve 3 rest.
- the sealing sleeve 3 is sprayed onto the plastic body 1 in a two-component injection molding process.
- two collars 61, 62 of the sealing collar 3 have a somewhat larger diameter than the straight shaft S of the plastic body 1.
