This has the result that a pressure exerted on the edge of the grinding plate while working leads to twisting of the toothed ring arranged thereon due to the elasticity of the grinding plate and thus to interference with the eccentric gear.
- the gearbox with six sprockets is relatively complex.
- the eccentric grinder according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the grinding plate has no gear parts and is only rotatably connected to the next component in its central part. This enables the use of elastic plastic for the grinding plate without deformation of the plate propagating into the gear. In addition, a reduction in the cost of the transmission is achieved because two sprockets are unnecessary compared to the prior art.
- Advantageous further developments and improvements of the eccentric grinder specified in the main claim are possible through the measures listed in the subclaims. It is particularly advantageous that the washers according to claim 5 reach up to the eccentric shaft and have a heat-conducting connection therewith. As a result, the heat generated in the bearings of the eccentric shaft can be dissipated into the washer and released by the latter to the ventilation flow passing through the ventilation openings. The ventilation openings also make it easier to remove the washer by hand.
- the arrangement of the ventilation openings on the sanding plate according to claim 10 enables the use of both the commercially available six-hole sanding papers and those with eight holes.

Grinding dust-laden air is sucked in through the ventilation openings 29 and 28 in the grinding plate and 20 in the intermediate disc and is released again via the exhaust air connector 7.
