Definitions
- the invention relates to a screed for a paver.
- Asphalt pavers are usually provided with a base screed and with two screeds, the latter being extendable to one side of the paver according to the width of the material to be installed. However, widening to twice the width of the base screed is prevented by the necessary guidance and support of the extension screeds.
- a screed for a paver which comprises a centrally divided base screed, the respective left or right half of which has a central standing cheek, on which an extension cylinder is attached on each side, which is attached to one attacks the outer movable cheek of an extension screed to extend it.
- telescopic rods for guiding the extending screed parallel to the cylinder axis are provided, which engage the outer movable cheek of the extending screed and are guided through an outer cheek that is firmly connected to the basic screed.
- the two telescopic rods each have a stop, up to which they can be displaced in the direction of extension of the extension screed up to the cheek firmly connected to the base screed.
- the free ends of the two telescopic rods are connected to one another by a connecting piece which is guided in the extension direction of the base screed independently of the inner movable cheek of the extension screed.
- the cheek which is firmly connected to the base screed, hinders the extension of the extension screed to half the width of the base screed, so that the base screed cannot be optimally widened.
- the object of the invention is to provide a screed for a paver which enables it to be widened practically by half the width of the base screed on each side.
- a screed for a road paver comprising a centrally divided base screed, the respective left or right half of which has a central standing cheek, on which an extension cylinder is attached on each side, which has an inner movable cheek of an extending screed for the lateral extension of the Base screed leads and engages on the outer movable cheek to extend, wherein each of the outer cheek engaging, designed as telescopic rods guide rods are provided parallel to the cylinder axis, which are guided by an outer cheek firmly connected to the base screed, the guide rods each on the attack the inner cheek and the extending screeds are each connected to an auxiliary cheek, which is located on the side of the inner cheek of the extending screed facing the outer cheek, the auxiliary cheeks each being attached to the respective inner movable cheek to the cylinder hse parallel, outwardly extending auxiliary guide are guided and held, the auxiliary cheek can be extended unhindered by the cheek of the base board to such an extent that its inside is flush with the
- the auxiliary guide comprises at least two guide rods, the guide rods being able to be arranged offset from one another in the vertical direction.
- Fig. 1 shows a top view of a screed schematically and in sections.
- FIG. 2 shows a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1.
- the screed shown comprises a basic screed 1 of a predetermined width, which is arranged on a paver and is connected to two central upright cheeks 2, the main planes of which extend in the direction of travel of the paver.
- a laterally outwardly extending telescopic cylinder 3 is attached, these are with pressure medium lines, not shown connected to their retraction or extension.
- the two telescopic cylinders 3 are used to extend extending screeds 4, which are arranged behind the basic screed 1 in the retracted state and have half the width of the basic screed 1.
- the extending screeds 4 are each provided with an outer movable cheek 5, which the respective telescopic cylinder 3 engages, and with an inner auxiliary cheek 6.
- the outer movable cheek 5 is connected to an inner movable cheek 8 via telescopic rods 7.
- the cheek 8 receives a bearing bush 9, which engages around the telescopic cylinder 3 in the region of its outer tube 3 'and ensures the guidance of the cheek 8 through the telescopic cylinder 3.
- the telescopic cylinder 3 is fixedly connected at the free end of its outer tube 3 'via a flange 3' to an adjacent sleeve 10, which in turn is connected to a cheek 11 attached to the base screed 1 and formed from two parallel plates.
- the flange 3 ⁇ is expediently set back by the thickness of the cheek 5 with respect to the outer edge of the base screed 1, so that when the extendable screed 4 is retracted, the outer edge thereof is flush with that of the base screed 1.
- the cheek 11 carries in front of and behind the telescopic cylinder 3 a guide sleeve 12 for each of the telescopic rods 7, the axes of which run parallel to the axis of the telescopic cylinder 3.
- At least two guide rods 13 or an equivalent other guide which extend in the direction of the outer cheek 5 parallel to the axis of the telescopic cylinder 3, are fastened to the inner movable cheek 8.
- the auxiliary cheek 6 has two guide sleeves 14 which grip around the guide rods 13.
- the auxiliary cheek 6 and the guide rods 13 are arranged below the cheek 11, so that the auxiliary cheek 6 practically comes into contact with the inner cheek 8 when the extending screed 4 is retracted. In this position, the telescopic rods 7 are retracted.
- the axes of the telescopic cylinder 3 and the telescopic rods 7 are expediently offset from one another in the vertical direction, just like the axes of the guide rods 13, in order to achieve greater stability and rigidity.
- the auxiliary cheek 6 guided by the guide rods 13, it is possible to extend the extending screeds 4 essentially by half the width of the basic screed 1 and thus the basic screed 1 in its Double width. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the auxiliary cheek 6 can be moved under the cheek 11, so that the extension and retraction of the extending screed 4 is not impaired.
- the telescopic cylinder 3 can have a sequential circuit for successively extending or retracting its sections, but this can also be dispensed with. Then the section with the least friction moves in or out first.
