Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum kontinuierlichen Gießwalzen metallischer Flachprodukte, insbesondere aus Stahl durch Eingießen der Schmelze in eine Stranggießkokille, Abziehen des über den Gießquerschnitt teilweise erstarrten Stranges mittels Rollenpaare, Verformen des Stranges mindestens im Bereich seiner Erstarrungsstrecke. Um ein Verfahren anzugeben, mit dem bereits mit der Stranggießanlage ein Produkt mit hohem Anteil an Walzgefüge zur Verfügung gestellt wird, das mit der die Gießanlage verlassenden Dickenabmessung coilfähig ist, wird vorgeschlagen, daß in der Stranggießkokille ein Flachprodukt mit einer Dicke von 50 bis 100 mm erzeugt wird, das so erzeugte Flachprodukt innerhalb der Erstarrungsstrecke mindestens 10% bis zu 70% in seiner Dicke reduziert wird und mittels der Rollenpaare im durcherstarrten Bereich des Flachproduktes eine weitere Reduktion der Dicke um mindestens 30% vorgenommen wird.
