Definitions
- the invention relates to a built-in supply air ceiling for a sterile room with an air box with a rectangular cross section, which has an air inlet socket in a side wall and has a grid of narrow support elements on the open underside, a flat perforated plate with holes in each grid formed by the grid for the supply air outlet from the air box is held horizontally and at least one perforating plate penetrating the perforated plate and pointing downward is attached to at least one perforated plate.
- a built-in supply air ceiling known for example from German patent specification 26 15 904 is particularly suitable for conditioning the air in an operating room of a hospital or in a similar sterile room.
- large-area luminaires are required to adequately illuminate the operating table and the operating field, which hang freely in the room and thus fully in the supply air flow from the supply air ceiling.
- the relatively large-volume body of these lights deflects part of the supply air flow from its flow direction towards the operating area and thus not only affects the stability of the supply air flow, but also its sterility because - if only to a small extent - potentially contaminated room air enters the supply air flow is induced.
- the invention is therefore intended to provide a built-in supply air ceiling in which the supply air flow emerging from it is practically not influenced by operating lights or similar obstacles hanging freely in the room.
- the nozzles are arranged overall along an ellipse.
- individual support jets emerging from the nozzles are embedded in a ring shape distributed in the laminar flow emanating from the supply air ceiling, which stabilizes the laminar flow from the holes in the perforated plates, which is slow because of the desired draft, especially against cross currents Act.
- Luminaires hanging from the ceiling can be accommodated in the core area of the flow surrounded by the support jets and thus no longer influence the support jets.
- each of the nozzles is directed essentially tangentially to a spiral extending downward from the supply air ceiling. This creates a slight swirl in the laminar flow, which also has a stabilizing effect. In addition, an essentially vortex-free flow around voluminous, large-area lights, such as those in the form of operating lights, is achieved, which reduces the risk of air-induced air into the flow.
- the nozzles are preferably directed along a truncated cone shell which expediently widens downward, the removal of contaminants arising in the operating area is supported to the outside.
- the flow out of the holes can be narrowed to a particularly important area if the nozzles are directed along a truncated cone shell which tapers downwards.
- the holes in the perforated plates each have a diameter of approximately 3 mm and a mutual spacing of approximately 15 mm, and if the free cross section of the entirety of the holes is approximately 3.4% of the perforated plate field.
- the supply air ceiling designated as a whole by 1 is composed of four rows 2, 3, 4, 5 of 5 perforated plates 21... 25, each of which is suspended horizontally in a grid of a grid formed by support elements fastened to one another.
- Each perforated plate is provided with a number of circular holes, from which sterile supply air can escape downwards as a source flow.
- the perforated plates 21 ... 25 have a square underside corresponding to a grid dimension of, for example, 600 ⁇ 600 mm. Accordingly, the supply air ceiling 1 shown in FIG. 1 covers an area of 3 ⁇ 3 m.
- the distribution of the holes over the totality of the perforated plates forming the supply air ceiling 1 is such that the perforated field defined by the totality of the holes has an elliptical outer boundary 10 in the embodiment of the supply air ceiling 1 shown in FIG.
- some perforated plates for example perforated plate 23, are evenly provided with holes on their underside, while other perforated plates such as perforated plates 21, 22 and 25, 24 are only partially perforated, so that the composition of perforated ceiling 1 is as in FIG. 1 shown the elliptical limitation 10 results.
- a central plate 11 is suspended in the grid, which has no perforations, but is provided for carrying out a holding rod, not shown, for operating lights.
- This square core plate 11 is surrounded on all sides by perforated plates 32, 33, 34 and 42, 43, 44, each of which carries a tubular nozzle.
- Each of the nozzles has a shape as described in German Patent 24 57 984, from which the type of attachment of the nozzles can also be found. For a better clarity of the illustration, only the passage cross sections of the nozzles in the plane of the supply air ceiling 1 are given.
- each of the nozzles 62, 63, 64, 72, 73, 74 in the associated perforated plates 32, 33, 34, 42, 43, 44 is directed downward into the operating room and preferably forms an angle with the lower surface of the supply air ceiling 1 about 50 °.
- the direction of the longitudinal axis of the individual tubular nozzles differs from nozzle to nozzle.
- the directions point tangentially to an imaginary spiral starting from the core area of the supply air ceiling and which has a slightly elliptical cross section in the example according to FIG. 1.
- the projection of the direction of the support jet emerging from one of the nozzles onto the underside of the supply air ceiling 1 is indicated by the arrows in FIG. 1 for each nozzle.
- the supply air jets impart a swirl in the clockwise direction to the entire supply air field emerging from the perforated field when viewed in FIG. 1, so that the supply air volume emerging from the supply air ceiling 1 is set into a spiral movement into the operating room around the plate 11 as the core .
- Operating lights are therefore located entirely inside the supply air field delimited by the elliptical boundary 10, so that disturbances in the flow of the supply air volume caused by them can neither influence the introduction of sterile supply air to the operating field nor can it induce contaminated air from the vicinity of the supply air ceiling 1.
- FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the invention in which the boundary 12 of the perforated field is circular. Accordingly, the supply air ceiling also contains a further row 6 of perforated plates compared to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1. Also in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the perforated plates surrounding the central plate 11 each have a supporting jet nozzle, the direction of which is tangential to a spiral in the operating room with circular cross section. The projections of the resulting directions of the support jets emerging from the nozzles onto the supply air ceiling 7 are each indicated by arrows. As in the exemplary embodiment explained above, the nozzles generate a swirl in a clockwise direction in the supply air volume which emerges from the circular perforated field.

Description
- Fig. 1:
