Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drive unit for a slat curtain or the like. According to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Slat curtains consisting of a plurality of strip-shaped, rigid slats hanging next to one another, which can be pulled in a rail and pivoted about a vertical axis, are being used to an increasing extent, in particular in the commercial sector, i.e. for offices, etc.
  • the slats of such a slat curtain are moved by a pull chain running in the upper mounting rail, in both modern and particularly comfortable slat curtains by means of a single pull chain, both pulled and pivoted.
  • a pull chain is often a pull rope with knotted or otherwise attached driver beads.
  • other pull elements for example a plastic-coated wire rope or the like, are known. Similar conditions as with lamella curtains also occur in normal curtains and other decorations to be drawn, so that the teaching also refers to this.
  • the pulling element in particular the pull chain, hangs down far enough from the running rail at one end of the slatted curtain so that an operator can pull the pull chain manually.
  • the pull chain runs continuously, ie endlessly.
  • An electric motor-driven drive unit is provided for more comfortable slat curtains.
  • the known drive unit from which the invention is based (US-A 2 788 481) is inexpensive and easy to retrofit and allows easy manual operation of the slat curtain in an emergency.
  • the front wall of the housing can be removed from the side walls and end walls and the opening is designed as a U-shaped slot that is open towards the front wall.
  • the drive unit By opening the front wall of the housing and unhooking the tension element, the drive unit can be easily uncoupled from the tension element.
  • the housing of the drive unit is attached to a wall or the like by means of a base plate with the rear wall.
  • the controls of the circuit control device are arranged on the front wall. This is not yet optimally simple and flexible with regard to retrofitting.
  • a drive unit for a normal roller shutter in which a tension belt extending between a roller shutter box and a belt box inserted in the wall is inserted into a housing attached separately to a wall and guided therein by a friction wheel drive becomes.
  • the two opposite side walls of the housing have an opening for the passage of the tension belt that is running through.
  • This drive unit for the tension belt of a roller shutter also has all operating elements on the front wall of the housing and is therefore just as little flexible with regard to the possible arrangements as the known drive unit for a lamella curtain explained above.
  • the arrangement options of the known drive unit for a slatted curtain or the like described at the outset are not yet flexible enough, so that the invention is based on the object of designing and developing the known drive unit in such a way that it can be retrofitted in a particularly simple and flexible manner.
  • the above-described object is achieved by the drive unit according to the invention with the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
  • the housing in the drive unit according to the invention can be converted to a right-hand or left-hand stop by simply turning 180 ° because of the two openings in opposite side walls.
  • the switching control device can assume the appropriate position in the end wall of the housing, since it can be offset by 180 ° in the opposite direction.
  • the housing can be easily fitted to the right and left.
  • the drive unit now has a housing 5, which preferably consists of plastic, in particular a thermoplastic, and accommodates an electric drive motor 6.
  • the electric drive motor 6 has assigned an electrical connection line and / or an accumulator, but this is not shown in detail in the drawing.
  • the drive motor 6 can be suitable, in particular size-matched electric drive motors, in particular it will be a direct current motor with a relatively low power and a relatively high speed, in particular a power of 10 to 15 watts and a speed of several thousand revolutions. It has been shown that these motors are particularly suitable for the present applications, since they are particularly small and, in conjunction with a step-down gear unit, nevertheless result in the required running speed of the pull chain 4.
  • the housing 5 has a front wall 9, a rear wall 10 and front wall 9 and rear wall 10 connecting side walls 11 and end walls 12. Through an opening 13, the pulling element, which is designed as a pull chain 4 in the exemplary embodiment shown here, is inserted into the housing 5 and suspended on the drive pinion 8. In addition, a switching control device 14 is provided for the electric drive motor 6.
  • the drive unit as a whole namely the housing 5 of the drive unit, is arranged on the frame of the window which can be closed by the slats 2, and at a height which is the closed end of the pull chain 4 in the case of slat curtains which are usually operated by hand corresponds.
  • the opening 13 the housing 5 is arranged in a side wall 11 and, preferably, in the opposite side wall 11 there is a further corresponding opening 15 and in that the switching control device 14 or a receiving part of the switching control device 14 in or is arranged on the housing 5.
  • the main effect of this teaching has been explained in the general part of the description.
  • Figures 1 b) and 2 to 8 relate to exemplary embodiments of the invention for a particularly frequent application, characterized in that the housing 5 can be fastened with the rear wall 10 to a building wall or the like and has corresponding fastening elements or fastening recesses for this purpose.
  • the direct rear wall fastening of the housing 5 to a building wall or the like is particularly expedient in terms of fastening technology, stable and simple to carry out.
  • this bearing axis can have a threaded socket 17 for a fastening screw 18 for fastening the front wall 9 to the rest of the housing 5, which is attached centrally to the front wall 9 and serves to fasten the front wall 9.
  • This is a stable and simple construction which, under certain circumstances and in the exemplary embodiment shown here, is also supplemented by a circumferential locking shoulder on the front wall 9, which engages in the frame-like side walls 11 and end walls 12.
  • the further embodiment of a drive unit shown in a perspective view in FIG. 5 is particularly interesting insofar as here the drive pinion 8 is assigned a second, preferably identical drive pinion 8 'and the drive pinions 8, 8' are arranged a short distance above one another, the distance performing the pulling element 4 in engagement with the drive pinions 8, 8 'allows and the thickness of the drive pinion 8, 8' perpendicular to the pulling direction is greater than twice the diameter of the pulling element 4.
  • the or Drive pinion 8, 8 'arranged around guide elements 20 for exact guidance of the tension element 4 are. Corresponding guide elements 20 are also indicated in FIG. 3 of the drawing.
  • the housing 5 is flat-plate-like and the drive motor 6, the reduction gear 7, if any, further components 16 such as a transformer or the like are in a front wall 9 and rear wall 10 parallel plane.
  • the components 16 in the embodiment shown here are two transformers and a circuit block.
  • Fig. 3 shows a preferred embodiment to the extent that here the drive pinion 8 is in the plane of the other parts.
  • the drive pinion 8 could also lie in a plane parallel thereto, but this would, under certain circumstances, unnecessarily increase the thickness of the housing 5.
  • the carrier 21 could also be completely pulled out of the housing, in a way designed as a removable insert.
  • the arrangement of the drive pinion 8 in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the front wall 9 is otherwise possible regardless of whether a carrier 21 is provided or not.
  • the switching control device 14 is integrated in the front wall 9 or, preferably, in an end wall 12 in the exemplary embodiment shown here.
  • An integration of the switching control device 14 in the front wall is shown in Fig. 1 a). It is particularly useful for mounting on the visible side of a window frame, but has certain disadvantages for the dimensions of the housing 5. Consequently, it is particularly recommended that, as shown in FIGS. 1 b), 1 c) and 2 to 8, the switching control device 14 is integrated in the one end wall 12. This is a measure that is fundamentally independent of whether the housing 5 has one opening 13 or two openings 13, 15 in opposite side walls 11.
  • the housing 5, as preferably indicated by claim 1 can be converted by simply turning it 180 ° to the right or left stop, it is recommended that the wall carrying the switching control device 14, in particular the end wall 12, be removed from the housing 5 and, preferably, can be attached to the housing 5 in two positions offset by 180 °.
  • the wall carrying the switching control device 14 on the housing 5 By using the correct opening 13 or 15 on the one hand and a suitable arrangement of the end wall 12 with the switching control device 14 on the housing 5, the right-hand stop and the left-hand stop can be easily installed.
  • the angle here is 45 °, but a somewhat steeper angle may be more expedient for an optimal reading.
  • the end wall carrying the switching control device can also be arranged at an acute or obtuse angle with respect to the side walls. This would lead to an improved readability from diagonally above.
  • FIG. 4 also shows that, for design reasons, it may be advisable to give the housing 5 an arcuate transition region 22 to the end wall carrying the switching control device 14.
  • the angular position of the end wall 12 is achieved in that the end wall 12 itself is flat, plate-shaped and that the side walls 11 at the ends facing the switching control device 14 end wall 12 in the form of miter cuts are beveled.
  • the alternative Embodiment which is shown schematically in Fig. 7, that the switching control device 14 end wall 12 is provided with side wall portions 19 and that the side wall portions 19 are chamfered at their free ends in the form of miter cuts. So here the side walls 11 are provided at the ends with edges perpendicular to the front wall 9 and rear wall 10.
  • FIG. 8 shows an alternative combined from the two previously explained possibilities, which is particularly distinguished by the fact that the free ends of the side wall sections 9 are chamfered with a miter angle corresponding to the miter angle of the side walls 11.
  • FIGS. 6 a) and 7 a) each show a housing 5 to be attached to the right, while FIGS. 6 b) and 7 b) each show a housing 5 to be attached to the left.
  • FIG. 7 makes it clear that here, on the one hand, the individual parts of the switching control device 14 can be accommodated in the somewhat wall-like end wall 12 with the switching control device 14, and on the other hand the end wall 12 is replaced by a smooth, flat end wall according to FIG. 6 can be, in which case a housing 5 similar to Fig. 1 b) or 1 c) is the result.
  • Fig. 8 makes it clear that the alternative shown here gives the optimal number of possible variations, namely without exchanging the side wall 12, only by realigning the right stop, left stop, angular position of the switching control device 14 and no angular position of the switching control device 14. Only the switching control device 14 in this case, at least with its operating elements and display elements, must also be able to be turned through 180 ° relative to the end wall 12 itself.
  • Fig. 9 makes it clear that the switching control device 14 is designed flat-plate-like or block-like.
  • the switching control device 14 forms So here practically the end wall 12 itself, namely its supporting body, which only has a thin plastic cover.
  • the switching control device 14 has an electronic circuit board with a timer and a control panel arranged on the circuit board and arranged parallel to the circuit board with control buttons and display of the timer. This results in a very flat, yet electronically extremely powerful arrangement, which allows long-term programming of the drive unit, sun tracking and a large number of possible special programs. Equipped with a correspondingly powerful microprocessor and provided with corresponding control buttons, such a switching control device 14 can be made extremely compact.
  • the display of the timer can also be used for operator guidance and can be designed as a general alphanumeric display, as is known per se in pocket calculators, etc.
