Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method and a device according to the preamble of claim 1 and claim 5
  • a device is e.g. B. is known from DE-PS 25 12 826, in which a drag band is pressed into the recess of a shaped in the manner of a single-shell hyperboloid form roller by a pressure roller, so that the side edges of the drag belt are bent together to a distance that is less than the distance of the hook ends of a holding part of a clip to be fastened to the drag belt.
  • the deformed drag band is introduced into the interior of the holding part by the feed movement of a holder for the clamp, and the return of the drag band to the approximately extended position is made possible by return movement of the bending stamp. Since the width of the drag belt is slightly larger than the width of the interior for the belt in the holding part of the clip, the remaining elastic band deformation fixes and entrains the clip due to frictional forces.
  • the object of the invention is to eliminate this separate delivery process.
  • the described method for attaching the clips is possible both with clips according to the teaching of DE-PS (German patent application P 35 35 852.1) with a flat shape which has an opening on the holding part which corresponds in length and width to approximately the width of the drag band and into which opening the projections encompassing the side edges of the drag band protrude.
  • This fastening method can also be used with clamps, the holding part of which has two hooks which are bent out of the plane of a sheet metal strip and which likewise comprise the side edges of the drag belt. This creates a space between the hooks that is slightly narrower than the towing band width and slightly higher than the towing band thickness.
  • a device for carrying out the method according to claim 1 results from claim 5 and the following device claims 6 to 12.
  • a clip device is shown schematically in a perspective view, which is constructed on a base plate 1.
  • the base plate 1 has a slot-shaped opening 1a through which a drag band 2 made of elastic plastic is passed from bottom to top.
  • the drag belt 2 is guided by two guide rollers 3 engaging on the side edges, only one of which is visible and which is freely rotatably mounted in a bearing block 4.
  • the drag band 2 runs between a support roller 5, which is freely rotatably mounted in a bearing block 6, and a receptacle for clips 8.
  • the support roller 5 has a medium, deep recess approximately in the form of a hyperbola as the generator of this roller circumference with two relatively narrow cylindrical edges on which the drag belt runs in the normal state of the device.
  • the clip 8 has a shape that can be seen in FIG. 2 with a holding part 8a, which is enclosed by two hook-like projections 8c and has an interior which is somewhat higher, but less wide than the drag band 2. If the drag band is in this interior space of the holding part 8 introduced way to be described, it almost stretches into the flat position and then lies with its side edges under relatively great force on the inner surface of the hooks 8c, so that the clamps are carried along by the drag belt with relatively large frictional forces.
  • An arm 8b is welded to the holding part 8a, which is bent as a unitary sheet metal part, and has a longitudinal slot in a known manner, through which a photographic copying material can be threaded and looped around the arm. In this way, a beginning of a roll of paper tape fastened to the clamp arm can be passed through a plurality of treatment containers of a photographic processing machine parallel to the running path of the drag belt 2.
  • the clip receptacle 7 is also provided with a slot on the side facing away from the clip arm 8b, so that clips can be inserted both in the position shown and in a position with the clip arm 8b on the other side.
  • a drive 9 for a clip stamp 10 is also attached.
  • the drive can e.g. B. a pneumatic cylinder, but also an electromagnet or - if none of these types of drive is available - a spring-loaded spring or done directly by hand.
  • the movable stamp 10 protrudes from the stamp drive 9 and is displaceably guided in a stamp guide 12, which is also fastened on the base plate 1.
  • the bending punch 10b is arranged in such a way that, in the advanced state, it reaches the drag band just below the holding part 8a of the clips 8 and below the clip receptacle 7 and can press it into the recess in the die roll 5.
  • FIG. 2 the different phases of a clip-on process are each shown in a section perpendicular to the tape running direction in chronological order.
  • the tape running direction can be horizontal according to FIG. 2 or vertical as in FIG. 1.
  • the embodiment of FIG. 2 differs from that 1 in that the support of the drag band against the pressure of the bending die 10b is not carried out by a rotatable roller 5, but by a die 13 fixed to the device .
  • a guide 13d is worked out, which corresponds in its width and height to the holding part 8a of the bracket 8. Otherwise, the profile corresponds to the clamp arm 8b, so that its offset can also contribute to the longitudinal guidance on an obliquely designed guide step 13e of the die 13.
  • a recess 13b is provided under the drag belt 2, which can be tapered away from the belt, but need not be.
  • the width of the support surface 13f for the two side edges of the drag belt 2 extends in each case only over a small part of the total drag belt width; however, the distance between the two inner ends 13c of the support surface is greater than the distance between the inner edges of the hook parts 8c of the holding part 8a of the clip 8a above.
  • the clamp 8 is held in its position shown by a device-fixed channel cover 14, which with a corresponding slot 14a also represents the guide 12 for the bending punch 10b.
  • the distance between cover 14 and die 13 is determined so that a clamp 8 in the channel on the drag belt 2 or on its side guides 13a can be moved freely, but not with a lot of air.
  • the passage space for the tow band 2 is dimensioned so that in the absence of one Clip 8 can pass freely through a drag band connector wound as a coil spring.
  • the stamp 10b is retracted behind the guide surface of the cover 14, while the drag belt moves in the stretched state with the air required for free movement between the side guides 13a of the die.
  • a trigger pulse and the corresponding drive for. B. a pneumatic drive that moves the punch 10b down, it bends the drag belt 2 down. However, its edges are guided between the holding part 8a of the clamp and the support surfaces 13f of the die in the original band plane, so that the tow band is bent twice with two turning points.
  • the side edges of the drag band have already moved somewhat inwards in accordance with the deflection, so that there is symmetrically a gap between the side guides 13 a and the side edges of the band 2.
  • the stamp 10b has already covered a larger part of its working stroke and has bent the strip correspondingly downwards.
  • the band edges are still between the Hook of the holding part 8a and the support surface 13f held, but only with a very small width.
  • the approach to a V-shaped bending line in the area of the edges is interrupted, even if the edges no longer run exactly in the original plane of the drag belt.
  • the punch 10b is immersed so far in the die that the two band edges are pulled over the hook edges 8c and are snapped up into the interior of the holding part 8a using the bending stress of the band edges.
  • the side edges stretch, so that the tow band is only bent in the middle.
  • the drag band extends again, so that the side edges of the drag band move successively towards the lateral boundaries of the interior of the holding part 8a of the clip.
  • the drag band is again approximately stretched, so that the clamp is pulled out of the clamp receptacle 7 upwards or forwards by frictional forces as soon as the drag band runs.
  • FIG. 3 shows a longitudinal section through the clip-on device according to FIG. 2, from which it can be seen is that the stamp 10b has a fork shape, which fork engages around the holding part 8a of the clip in the tape running direction on both sides.
  • the movement phases according to FIG. 2 can be carried out most simply when the belt is at a standstill. Since such a trailing belt standstill in the treatment part of the developing device is not sustainable due to the required accuracy of the dwell time, such a standstill can only be achieved with a relatively large amount of equipment, e.g. B. according to the teaching of German Patent 22 46 313. On the other hand, the speed of movement of the drag belt compared to the speed of movement of a properly driven stamp 10b is small, so that the time delay can be kept very low compared to a continuous run.
  • a further possibility is the design according to FIG. 1, if the counter support of the drag belt 2 is carried out by a roller 5 and z. B. is also arranged on the stamp 10b a role for low-friction pressure. The clamping process can then be carried out on the running belt.
  • Clamping to the running belt is also possible via part of the processes of the clamping process if the punch 10b and the die 14 are made of a material on which the drag belt 2 slides well.
  • This can e.g. B. a body made of polyamide with polished surfaces and rounded edges 13c.
  • the drag belt is then braked during the movement phases according to FIGS. 2b and 2c, but can still continue to run at almost the original speed.
  • the bracket itself is still held by the fork shape of the stamp 10b. A firm clinging takes place, however, only when the drag belt 2 is stretched after the movement phase shown in FIG. 2e, when the plunger 10b has almost released the clip.
  • a further reduction in flexing work in the drag belt during the clip-on process can be achieved if the recess 13b in the die is not purely prismatic, but, as shown in FIG. 4, tapers from both sides towards the center of the recess 13b.
  • the principles of clipping without infeed of a clip holder towards the tow band can also be used with clips of a flat shape according to the teaching of DE-PS 35 35 852, which have an opening in the holding part which corresponds in length and width to approximately the width of the tow band. The side edges of the drag band protrude into this opening. 5 and 6, the clip device for such a clip 15 is shown.
  • the die 13 has approximately the same shape as in FIGS. 3 and 4, but in addition a spring-loaded ejector 16 is provided, which is mounted in a housing 17 below the die 13. This accelerates the return movement of the drag belt from the die after the snap-in Band edges in the holding part of the clip.
  • Such an ejector is also useful in the embodiment according to FIG. 2.
  • the stamp 18 for deforming the drag tape 2 engages in the opening of the clip 15, but has a step 18a in the area of the clip edges 15a, which bends the clip edges 15a at the lower point of reversal so that the projections 15b are bent toward the drag tape.
  • This makes it easier to snap the edges of the drag band behind the projections 15b, or enables the bending punch to be reversed even with less band deflection.
  • the process of clamping the trailing belt edges between the die 13 and the clamp 15 takes place in the same way as in the clamp according to FIGS. 2-4 until the snapping of the trailing band edges into the opening of the clamp.
  • the recess in the die 13 is expediently not prismatic, but tapering towards the middle of the die.
