- the rigid wall which is parallel to the cap base and is arranged sunk relative to it, which rigidly connects the cap peripheral wall and a concentric sleeve projecting from the cap base beyond the wall and defining the outer peripheral edge of the membrane-like wall section. Because of this design, the membrane can have a large circumferential length in the region of its defined edge. The membrane which thereby falls out over a large area has a substantially reduced resistance to the movement of the pouring spout from the pouring position into the closed position. The total forces to be applied for the closing process are reduced accordingly.
- the recessed rigid wall also allows the locking elements to be designed with a relatively high degree of flexibility, since the associated webs can freely project over a relatively large extent in the direction of the axis of the closure. Nevertheless, due to their large length, these webs ensure that the pouring spout is securely locked against the elastic restoring forces. This not only facilitates the elastic snap-in with a significantly reduced effort, but also enables the acceptance of considerable tolerances in the manufacture of the interlocking locking elements. In all of this, the new design also ensures that the cover of the pouring spout is flush with the outer surface of the cap base in the closed position.

- the pouring spout 14 which can be of any cross-section, it has elongated locking sections on its sides. In the preferred exemplary embodiment shown, these are provided as elongated strips 20, 27 which extend along diametrically opposed surface lines of the pouring spout 14. Each web has a locking surface 20 lying in the diametrical plane in the closed position and an inclined run-up surface 27 pointing downwards.
- webs 21 to 24 projecting upward from the intermediate wall 30 are provided at a distance corresponding to the mutual spacing of the surfaces 20. These protrude from the wall 30 upwards in the direction of the cap base 3. At their upper free edges they have inwardly projecting bends or beads 23, 25 in the direction of the pouring spout 14, which are arranged so that they are in the closed position Reach behind surfaces 20.
