Definitions

  • the invention relates to a shower partition with a rotating wing, with a first profile rail, which is designed as a compensating profile and to which the rotating wing is articulated via at least two hinges with a substantially vertical axis of rotation, the hinges having a hinge holder connected to the compensating profile, and with one second, fixedly arranged profile rail, with respect to which the compensating profile can be aligned in the horizontal direction and in which at least two connecting bodies are arranged vertically spaced apart, in each case one adjusting screw connected to the compensating profile engaging with the connecting body via a screw thread.
  • Such a shower partition with a rotating wing is known from US-A-16 14318, the hinge of which has a hinge holder connected to a profile rail. The other hinge part is connected to the rotating wing.
  • a second profile rail is arranged in a stationary manner, with respect to which the first profile rail can only be adjusted in the horizontal direction.
  • a U-shaped bracket is provided in a cavity, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner on the one hand to an adjusting screw passed through the first profile rail and on the other hand is rotatable with respect to a screw which is firmly connected to the second profile rail.
  • the relative position of the rotating wing with respect to the stationary profile rail cannot be changed. Manufacturing tolerances or assembly inaccuracies can result in distances that are too large or too small between the lower edge of the rotary wing and the floor, without compensation being possible in this respect.
  • EP-B-118883 has shown a shower partition with a rotating wing, in which the hinge holder consists of two parts that can be adjusted in the horizontal direction relative to one another. One part is assigned to the rotating wing and contains the bolt or the axis of the hinge, while the other part is connected to the stationary profile rail. There are two such hinges, a cover profile being arranged between the vertically spaced first parts of the hinge holder. Alignment of the rotary wing in the vertical direction cannot easily be carried out. If the lower hinge is to be adjusted or adjusted, the connection between the two parts of the hinge holder must also be released from the above hinge and the cover profile must also be removed. The cover profile has no supporting or supporting function for the hinges.
  • a shower partition is known from DE-A-34 33 135, the hinge holder of which is arranged on a stationary profile rail.
  • the hinge part connected to the rotating wing has an elongated hole on a horizontal arm in order to enable the adjustment of the rotating wing with respect to the profile rail in the horizontal direction.
  • the swivel wing is arranged behind the vertical axis of rotation and can be pushed with its hinge-side end edge behind the first profile rail for the purpose of adjustment.
  • the profile rail must therefore have a relatively large width, as a result of which the free entry opening which is available to a user is reduced.
  • a shower partition is known from GB-A-2 120713, the stationary profile rail of which has an undercut longitudinal groove.
  • the connecting body, via which the compensation profile can be connected, is fastened in this longitudinal groove.
  • the shower partition contains two sliding doors and the compensation profile has an H-shaped cross section.
  • the compensation profile contains a flat contact surface for the front edge of the sliding door, a countersunk bore for receiving the screw head of the adjusting screw being provided in this contact surface.
  • the adjusting screw also serves to fasten the profile rail attached to the wall.
  • the invention has for its object to further develop the shower partition of the type mentioned with little design effort that on the one hand the adjustment of the compensation profile and the rotary wing can be carried out in a simple manner and on the other hand a functional and reliable sealing of the inlet opening is guaranteed.
  • the proposed shower partition has a functional and inexpensive structure and the adjustment of the rotating wing can be carried out without any problems.
  • the hinge holders can be easily arranged and fastened with their feet in the desired vertical position in the longitudinal groove.
  • the horizontal alignment is carried out in a simple manner by means of the adjusting screws, the screw heads of which are likewise concealed in the longitudinal groove and, like the feet of the hinge holder, do not appear to the outside. This is not only advantageous with regard to the visual design of the shower partition, but also with regard to a functionally reliable seal between the hinge-side end edge of the rotating wing and the compensation profile.
  • the longitudinal groove is closed to the outside with a cover profile; if necessary This cover profile can simply be removed from the longitudinal groove in order to make the desired setting by turning the screw heads.
  • the rotating sash and the compensation profile can be completely prefabricated together with the hinge brackets.
  • the connecting body When installing in a bathroom, only the adjusting screws have to be screwed into the connecting body, which are fastened together with the first profile rail to the wall of the room or to a corner post.
  • the compensation profile and / or the hinge holder of the lower hinge it is therefore expedient for the compensation profile and / or the hinge holder of the lower hinge to stand on the floor surface, optionally via spacers, on the edge of the shower tray or, if no shower tray is provided, directly on the floor. Nevertheless, the compensating profile and consequently the rotating wing which is attached to the hinges can be moved and adjusted in the horizontal direction.
  • a stop profile is located on a further, fixedly arranged profile rail, which has at least one sealing lip and / or an elastic sealing body.
  • the stop profile expediently also has a seal assigned to the drinking edge in order to ensure a functional and reliable seal.
  • a seal is arranged in the area of the hinge-side end edge on the compensating profile, which lies against the mentioned end edge in the closed state of the rotating wing.
  • the hinge holder of the lower hinge preferably has an inclined surface on which the hinge part connected to the rotating wing can be moved upwards in the vertical direction when the rotating wing is swung open. Grinding of the seal provided on the lower edge of the rotating wing or even of the rotating wing itself on the floor or on the shower tray is reliably avoided.
  • FIG. 1 shows a view of the shower partition with a rotating wing 2, which is arranged so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis of rotation 8 with respect to a room wall 10 by means of a lower hinge 4 and an upper hinge 6.
  • Each hinge has two hinge holders 12, 14, the bolts 16 of which engage in corresponding bores in the hinge part 18, which is connected to the rotary wing 2 by means of screws.
  • the hinges 4, 6 or their hinge holders 12, 14 are fastened to a compensation profile 20 in the undercut 21.
  • the hinge brackets 12, 14 overlap with the arms 22, 24 of the middle part 26 of the hinge part 18.
  • the two hinge brackets 12, 14 can be displaced in the vertical direction against one another during assembly and are connected to the compensation profile 20 by means of screws.
  • the compensation profile 20 is adjustable in the horizontal direction with respect to the second profile rail 28.
  • at least two connecting bodies spaced apart in the vertical direction are provided on the inside.
  • a seal 32 is also arranged on the compensating profile 20.
  • a further profile rail 36 which contains a stop profile 38.
  • This further profile rail 38 can, like the second profile rail 28, be fastened to the wall of the room or extended beyond the upper edge of the rotary wing 2 in order to be fastened to the ceiling of the room.
  • a fixed wall element which, like the rotating wing 2, is made of glass or possibly also of a plastic.
  • a sealing profile 40 is provided on the underside of the rotating wing 2 for the purpose of sealing with respect to the edge of the shower tray 42.
  • the bottom surface 44 of the hinge holder 12 lies either directly or indirectly on the edge of the shower tray 42 via an intermediate part 46. Depending on the height of the spacer 46, the distance from the lower edge of the rotary wing to the shower tray 42 and thus the height setting can be specified.
  • the compensation profile can be supported vertically on the floor or the tub edge.
  • FIG. 2 shows an enlarged section along section line II according to FIG. 1, the connecting body 48 fastened in the second profile rail 28 now being clearly visible.
  • the second profile rail 28 has hook-shaped projections 50 which engage in recesses in the connecting body 48.
  • These approaches 50 have sawtooth-like outer surfaces, which ensure good anchoring.
  • These lugs 50 are bent in the direction of the room wall 10 and are simply pressed into the second profile rail 28 from this side during assembly, without screwing or similar fastening work being necessary for this purpose.
  • the connecting body 48 contains an internal thread into which an adjusting screw 52 is screwed. This adjusting screw 52 contains a collar 54 in such a way that there is an intermediate space to the head 56.
  • the compensation profile 20 has in the intermediate wall 58 an elongated hole 60 to fix the adjusting screw 52 between the collar 54 and the head 56.
  • the elongated hole 60 is adjoined vertically downward, ie here behind the plane of the drawing, by an extension 62, indicated by dash-dotted lines, through which the head 56 can be passed.
  • the second profile rail is first fastened to the room wall 10 by means of screws (not further explained here) and subsequently the compensation profile 20 is placed on the second profile rail 28 in such a way that the screw head 56 extends through said extension 62.
  • the compensation profile is then pushed vertically downwards and then the distance between the compensation profile 20 and the room wall 10 can be adjusted by turning the adjusting screw.
  • the height setting can be predetermined by the spacer mentioned at the beginning. The height of the spacer is specified according to the required distance from the lower edge of the wing to the edge of the shower tray or to the floor.
  • the rotary wing 2 together with the hinge and the compensation profile are prefabricated in the factory or can be guaranteed by quick assembly. Since there are two connecting bodies 48, which are spaced apart in the vertical direction and are expediently provided in the area of the hinges, an exact vertical alignment of the compensation profile 20 can be carried out without difficulty.
  • the hinge holder 12 and also the other hinge holders are, according to the invention, fastened in an undercut longitudinal groove 64 of the compensating profile 20, in particular by means of screws.
  • the longitudinal groove 64 with the undercut 21, which is open towards the rotary wing 2, is closed off by means of a cover profile 66.
  • the seal 32 is fastened to the cover profile 66 with a part 65.
  • This seal 32 can also be part of the cover profile 66 within the scope of the invention.
  • the elastic seal 32 is pressed in by the end edge 30 of the rotary wing 2. A reliable seal is achieved, whereby manufacturing tolerances in the area of the hinges and / or the fastening of the rotating wing can be reliably compensated.
  • the seal 32 extends over the entire vertical height of the rotary wing, in the context of the invention behind the hinge holders, so that there is no interruption of the seal in the area of the hinges.
  • the vertical axis of rotation 8 lies in front of the vertical plane of the rotary wing 2 in the closed state thereof, while the shower tray 42 is located between the rotary wing 2.
  • Cover profile 66 has openings for the hinge holder.
  • the feet of the hinge holder and the cover profile are arranged in the same undercut longitudinal groove 64 of the compensation profile 20.
  • the cover profile consists of a resilient plastic in such a way that the legs 69 provided with locking lugs 67 engage behind the opening of the longitudinal groove assigned to the rotary wing 2.
  • the seal 32 can be attached to the front edge 30 accordingly.
  • the hinge part 18 contains a pin 68 which extends through a bore in the rotary wing 2. There is another appropriately trained peg in front of the drawing level. A screw 70 is screwed into this pin 68 from the other side, the head of which rests on a base plate 72.
  • This base plate ensures an even distribution of force and prevents damage to the rotary wing 2.
  • This base plate 72 is in particular approximately cruciform and contains an undercut groove 74 on the outside, in which a hinge cover 76 engages with a nose 78.
  • FIG. 3 shows an enlarged section along section line 111 according to FIG. 1, the further profile rail 36 and the other end edge 34 facing away from the hinges being clearly visible. Furthermore, part of a wall element 80 can be seen, which is fastened in the further profile rail 36.
  • the wing 2 can be swung open in the direction of arrow 82.
  • the stop profile 38 is anchored in the same way as the cover profile explained by means of legs and locking lugs in the undercut longitudinal groove of the profile rail 36. The distance between the compensating profile 38 and the end edge 34 is not changed. A reliable seal is guaranteed.
  • the stop profile 38 contains a sealing lip 84 on the side of the shower tray as well as an elastic seal 86 which lies tightly against the front edge 34. This configuration, which is essential to the invention, ensures a double seal with little design effort.
  • the seal 86 like the seal on the hinge-side cover profile, is designed like a hollow profile that can be compressed from the end edge in the direction of the profile rail 36.
  • FIGS. 4 and 5 show in a view or in a section the hinge holder 12 with the arm 22 which has an opening 88 for a bolt 90 which is closed at the bottom in the manner of a blind bore.
  • the arm 22 has an inclined surface 92 at the top, which cooperates with a corresponding inclined surface of the hinge part fastened to the rotating wing in such a way that when the rotating wing is swung open, it performs a vertically upward movement.
  • the hinge holder 12 contains a foot 94 which engages in the undercut longitudinal groove of the compensating profile.
  • the side surfaces 96 serve for the axial alignment of the hinge holder on the guide surfaces in the opening of the said longitudinal groove.
  • the screws are passed through the bores 98 around the hinge holder on the intermediate wall of the compensation pro attach fils.
  • the opening 88 is located in a cup-shaped part 100 which is connected at the upper end to the remaining part of the hinge holder.
  • FIG. 6 shows the cross-like base plate 72 for the screws 70 explained with reference to FIG. 2.
  • This cross-shaped design ensures a good force distribution, so that damage to the rotating wing, which is preferably made of glass, is excluded. It can also be seen here the grooves 74 lying behind the plane of the drawing, into which the lugs of the hinge cover are clipped.
  • Fig. 7 shows an enlarged view of the lower hinge with the two hinge holders 12, 14, which are pushed into the undercut groove of the compensating profile 20.
  • the spacer 46 between the edge of the shower tray and the lower hinge bracket 12 can be seen.
  • the hinge part 18 engages between the arms 22.
  • the hinge holder 12, 14 contains at least one inclined surface 102 which is associated with the lower hinge holder 12 and which cooperates with the inclined surface 92 of the hinge holder 12.
  • the upper hinge holder 14 is formed in a corresponding manner with an inclined surface. As can be seen, the hinge is hinged on the left of the rotating wing 2 when looking at the shower tray.
  • the rotary wing can also be hinged on the right, the hinge holder 14 shown here above then being arranged below the rim of the tub, so that the inclined surface now serves to lift the hinged wing on the right.
  • two hinge holders 12, 14 are provided, each of which contains a bolt, so that lifting out of the hinge part is reliably prevented.
  • the two hinge parts 12, 14 are moved towards one another in the undercut longitudinal groove, the bolts engaging in the corresponding bore of the hinge part 18 from above and from below.
