Definitions

  • the invention relates to a jewelry band made of textile or textile-like material for wristwatches and rosette-like arm jewelry.
  • a previously known jewelry band of this type is designed to be stretchable in the longitudinal direction and frilled like a ruffle due to an embedded or sewn-in elastic tension member such as a rubber band, rubber thread.
  • Two solutions are proposed for fastening its free ends to connection brackets of a watch case. The first provides for tape ends sewn into loops that encompass the connection bracket. In the second, metal springs are sewn into the ends of the tape, the protruding, specially bent ends of which can be hooked into the connecting bracket. Both solutions do not take into account the special character of such a jewelry band. You want it z. B. in a proper color match for a certain piece of clothing only wear occasionally, or to different garments the color matching jewelry band.
  • the second solution allows the mutual exchange of jewelry bands, but it is hardly possible for a layperson to replace the jewelry band with a normal bracelet of any make, because these can only be fitted by a specialist or with special tools.
  • a foulard-like, two-part band for wristwatches has become known. It is attached to the watch case in a classic manner using sewn-on loops and these protruding spring pins.
  • the two ends of the jewelry band parts are connected to one another on the inside of the arm by means of a loop.
  • a replacement for another jewelry band or for a conventional watch strap is again only possible by a specialist or using special tools.
  • the invention is based on the object, a jewelry band to be worn in connection with a wristwatch. or to further develop that a watch with a conventional bracelet per se can be occasionally equipped by any layperson with a textile jewelry band of their choice.
  • the invention consists in the fact that for the purpose of its formation as a cover band for wristwatches already equipped with wristbands, near the ends thereof which are used for abutment against the watch case, the decorative band is equipped on the underside with fastening means such as clips, clamps, shaft push buttons, hooks with which, when worn, the watch band spanning shroud, the end areas of which are easily releasably attached to the end areas of the watch band adjacent to the watch case.
  • fastening means such as clips, clamps, shaft push buttons, hooks with which, when worn, the watch band spanning shroud, the end areas of which are easily releasably attached to the end areas of the watch band adjacent to the watch case.
  • the watch case 1 is equipped with the two-part bracelet 2a, 2b, on which the frill-like, elastic-elastic cover band.3 is fixed or can be fixed by means of clamping clips 4 arranged on it. These are bent from resilient wire and each have two differently long clamping tongues 4a, 4b.
  • the clamping tongue 4a is formed on the long side on one side of the bracket 4c and on the other side of the arch 4d.
  • the bracket 4c is slightly inclined to the clamping level, has the curvature 4e and in the crosspiece. the extended free longitudinal leg 4f.
  • the shroud ends 3a are double-walled, tubular, or are provided with circumferential, circularly closed hollow seams.
  • a clamping clip 4 the free end of the bracket leg 4f sticks into the hollow seam area on the top of the shroud at the point indicated by the arrow 3b in FIG. 6, drives through the cavity to the point indicated by the arrow 3c and drives out again.
  • the hemstitch region 3d lying between the two arrows 3b, 3c is gathered on the bracket 4c (FIG. 7).
  • the end region of the bracket leg 4f projecting beyond the clamping tongues 4a, 4b can now be sheared off. Then the clip 4 is folded against the underside of the decorative ribbon (FIG.
  • a band end 3a is first plugged onto one of the bracelet connection areas from the side. You now wrap the whole bracelet using the cover band 3 and then plug the second end of the cover band onto the other bracelet connection area. Because of its ruffles, the cover band 3 is airy and voluminous, so that the bracelet 2a, 2b is not only completely covered, but is not even suspect under the cover band. For the first time, it is now possible to instantly provide wristwatches with a conventional bracelet with an additional jewelry band that is tailored to the clothing, and to convert them back to their initial state just as quickly.
  • the ends of the decorative ribbon can alternatively also be simply sewn into hemstitching which are open on both sides of the longitudinal ribbon.
  • the bow leg 4f is then passed through the entire hemstitch.
  • Fig. 8 again shows a watch case 1 equipped with a bracelet 2a, 2b.
  • the cover band here consists of the two parts 5a, 5b, which, for. B. are connected to the back of the bracelet buckle 2c by the loop 5c.
  • a push button or a Velcro fastener could also be used for the connection.
  • a possible additional loop would then only be used for decoration. This shroud particularly emphasizes youthful fashion. Longitudinal elasticity is not necessary.
  • the clamp 6 according to FIGS. 9 and 10 differs only from that previously described in that it was created by slightly different bends. Except for the bracket 6a and the sheet 6b, it is quite similar to a paper clip. Their attachment to the shroud and the way in which they are clamped onto a bracelet correspond exactly to the first embodiment.
  • the fastening member 7, again designed as a clamp, according to FIGS. 11-13 is made of spring plate. It initially has the clamping tongues 7a, 7b of slightly different lengths. Their free end regions 7c, 7d diverge in an arc.
  • the beak-shaped clasp opening designed in this way guarantees that the cover band 3 can be put on easily.
  • the clamping tongue 7b underneath on the underside of the bracelet when the cover band is worn the edge region 7f lying towards the watch case is bent outwards, so that one already Clamping clip 7 pushed onto the bracelet can be shifted slightly towards the watch case for the correct position of the corresponding shroud end towards the watch case.
  • the edge region 7e facing away from the watch case is inward, i. H. bent towards the level of the clamping tongue 4a and thereby acts as a locking edge against the underside of the bracelet. In this way, the clamping clip 7 is additionally secured in the pulling direction of the shroud.
  • the arcuate course of the fastening tab 7g causes on the one hand a firm abutment of the corresponding shroud end region on the upper side against the bracelet and on the other hand an effective abutment of the locking edge 7e against the underside of the bracelet.
  • the jewelry band end areas are initially designed as pockets 3d open towards the band ends.
  • a thread 3f is drawn into the preferably double-walled pocket edge 3e.
  • the clamping clip 7 is placed so that the free end of the fastening tongue 7g is at a certain distance from the pocket edge 3d and is sewn on the underside of the cover tape by means of the short fastening tongue 7h. Then the edge of the pocket 3g on the underside of the shroud is folded back to the fastening tongue 7g and sewn onto it. Now the pocket 3d is to be drawn together using the thread 3f, i. H. to close, after which the thread is knotted.
  • the cover band fastening organs are designed as clips 8 ' . They consist of base plates 8a fastened on the underside to the end regions 3h of the shroud 3, on which the swivel plates 8b are pivotably mounted in two positions under spring pressure.
  • the self-resilient mounting of the swivel plate 8b and the contact pressure of the closed clip are realized in that the swivel plate 8b is clamped resiliently with bearing arms 8c formed on both sides between bearing angles 8d and a leaf spring 8e of the base plate 8a.
  • the swivel plates 8b are also provided with tooth-like projections 8f.
  • the base plate 8a has two annularly bent back tongues 8g formed on its side facing the corresponding shroud end 3h. These reach from both sides into a sewn hemstitch of the folded back cover tape end, whereby this is held in a clamped manner and slightly conically frilled. This results in a solid, from the design of the watch case independent transition between this and the cover band.
  • the base plate 8a is provided with holes 8i for an additional sewing attachment.
  • the shroud fastening members 12 are formed as platelets 12 with integrally formed 'snaps shaft 12b. Holes 12c for sewing fastening and fastening brackets 12d for receiving seam-like stitched ends of the cover tape are used to secure them to a cover tape.
  • the shaft push buttons 12b engage in holes 2d of the bracelet parts 2a, 2b.
  • FIGS. 11 to 13 show the watch-independent use of a jewelry band 3 designed as a cover band for wristwatches.
  • This is equipped with fastening elements 7 'which correspond to those of FIGS. 11 to 13.
  • the wristwatch is replaced by a rosette-like jewelry body 14.
  • the flat strap-like connecting strap 15 is used for its easily created and releasable attachment to the cover tape 3.
