Definitions

  • the invention relates to a gripper for weft insertion in a rapier weaving machine with a clamping hook for the weft and an associated clamping tongue that can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the gripper under spring action in a housing.
  • the clamping tongue head On the side opposite the clamping flank of the clamping hook, the clamping tongue head has a clamping surface lying obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the gripper for holding the weft thread during insertion.
  • a gripper of the type described in the opening paragraph is described in German Offenlegungsschrift No. 31 36 615.
  • the clamping tongue is articulated at one end to an angle lever via a bracket and is moved in a longitudinal guide within the gripper when the angle lever is actuated. If no external force acts on the angle lever, it is pivoted counterclockwise via a leaf spring, whereby the clamping tongue is pressed into the wedge-shaped recess inside the clamping hook.
  • Similar constructions are also described in other publications, e.g. in EP-A 0 123 005. In both of the publications mentioned, straight guides are provided for the shaft of the clamping tongue, which sit inside the gripper housing.
  • the invention consists in that the clamping tongue inside the clamping hook is guided by a positive guidance against movements transversely to the plane in which the clamping hook is located, the positive guidance on the one hand by a groove in the tip of the tongue and on the other hand by a projection engaging in the groove an insert of the clamping hook is formed. Due to the mentioned guide, the clamping tongue is free of vibrations in relation to the clamping hook just at its tip, on which the weft thread is held. The guide must at least act transversely to the plane in which the clamping hook is located.
  • a gear 4 for the gripper drive and the center girders II and 12 can be seen on a machine frame.
  • the reed 8, along which the gripper 6 is moved back and forth in the longitudinal direction 60 of the gripper 41 over the drive belt 5, can be seen as part of the sley above the center beams.
  • the weft thread 10 is inserted from right to left by the gripper 7 according to FIG. 2, which is also driven by a flexible belt 5, entering the weft thread up to the center of the reed 8 to the left, whereupon the gripper 6 takes over the weft thread and the Weft thread entry completed.
  • the lever end 642 runs onto a cam 30, as a result of which the gripper 6 releases the inserted weft thread.
  • the belts 5 are guided to the left and right of the weaving machine frame by belt guides 51 and 52, respectively.
  • the gripper 6 is shown in more detail. It is screwed onto the gripper belt 5 and essentially consists of the housing 65 with the side walls 651 and 652, between which the clamping tongue 61 lies. It is partially protected by the cover 66, which is fastened in the housing 65 by means of the fastening screws 661 and 662.
  • the weft thread 10 from FIG. Is held between the clamping hook 63 and the clamping tongue tip 611 during the weft insertion.
  • the lever 64 is pivoted counterclockwise via its lever end 642 according to FIG. 5. It compresses the spring 621 via the bolt 643 and the tab 620.
  • the clamping tongue 61 is pulled substantially to the left in the longitudinal direction 60 of the gripper, and slides over the end of the spiral spring 622, which is mounted in the axis 623.
  • the clamping tongue 61 tends to pivot about the pin 643 counterclockwise.
  • the lever 64 is pivoted freely in the housing 65 by means of the bearing pin 641 and is released by the cam 30 after the start of the movement of the gripper to the right in the direction of the reed 8 according to FIG is pivoted.
  • the clamping tongue tip 611 is pressed against the clamping hook 63 from the inside.
  • An insert 630 sits in the clamping hook 63, as shown in FIG. 7. It shows the clamping tongue tip 611 within the clamping hook 63 in the position when no external force acts on the lever end 642.
  • the clamping tongue tip 611 is due to the action of the compression spring 621 against the clamping flank 631 pressed.
  • the clamping tongue tip 611 On the opposite side of the clamping flank 631, the clamping tongue tip 611 has a groove 613 with which it sits on the projection 633 of the insert 630.
  • the clearance between the groove 613 and the spring 633 in the horizontal direction in FIG. 7 is chosen to be as narrow as possible so that no relative movements between the tongue tip 611 and the insert 630 are possible in this direction.
  • the tongue 633 and the groove 613 together form a form-fitting guide 615 for the tongue tip 611 in the clamping hook 63.
  • the tongue tip 611 is supported on the flank 632 of the insert 630.
  • the pressure force from the spring 621 is thus absorbed by the clamping flank 631 and by the flank 632.
  • the weft thread 10 is held between the tongue tip 611 and the insert 630 on the clamping flank 631.
  • the weft thread tip 10 ' is deflected downward by a gap between the clamping plate 612 and the insert 630 as shown in FIG. 7, as a result of which it is held more securely than without the clamping plate 612.
  • the clamping plate 612 is attached to the clamping tongue 61.
  • the tongue tip 611 is wedge-shaped at its end, since both the clamping flank 631, on which the tongue tip 611 lies flat, and the flank 632 with respect to the clamping flank 631 form an acute angle with a straight line through the Form gripper longitudinal direction 60.
  • the clamping tongue 61 is withdrawn from the clamping hook 63 due to the impact of the lever end 642 on the cam 30, it is pressed against the flank 632 due to the action of the spring 622 in FIG. 5.
  • FIG. 8 shows another embodiment of the insert 630 ', the tongue tip 611' and the clamping plate 612 'on the tongue tip 611'.
  • the angled projection 614 'of the clamping plate 612' engages behind the projection 633 'of the insert 630' in the groove 634 ', as a result of which the clamping tongue tip 611' relative to the insert 630 'in all directions. 8 is positively guided within the plane of the drawing.
  • the spiral spring 622 and the axis 623 can be omitted.
  • FIG. 9 shows, as a further embodiment of the invention, a play-free prismatic guide 615 "between the insert 630" and the tongue tip 611 ". Due to the action of the spring 622 in FIG. 5, the V-groove 613" of the tongue tip 611 "becomes free of play against the wedge-shaped projection 633 "pressed on the insert 630".
  • FIG. 10 shows a similar form-fitting guidance of the clamping tongue spikes 611 in the clamping hook 63 as shown in FIG. 7.
  • a projection 633 can be seen on the clamping tongue tip 611, which sits in a recess 613 of the insert 630 in the clamping hook 63.
