Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing a node connection for rod structures with more than two rods connected in a node, wherein a metal box, through the openings of which the rods protrude and in this with a form-fitting, e.g. deformed or constricted end section, is filled with a hardening sealing compound.
- Knot connections for bar structures with more than two bars connected in a node are known, the bars protruding through openings in a metal box and in this with a form-fitting, e.g. deformed or constricted end section, wherein the metal box is filled with a hardening sealing compound.
- the sealing compound consists either of cement-bound concrete mortar or of plastics, as which either thermoplastics or thermosets are used. Cement-bound concrete mortar hardens too slowly, the plastics in question have the disadvantage of a relatively high price and low temperature resistance. In addition, full filling of the metal box is required for sufficient strength of the knot connections and it is difficult to achieve a filling without voids.
- a cement mortar made of sand and cement, or a mixture of a hardenable plastic with sand is optionally pressed into the metal box under pressure as the hardening casting compound.
- the hardening mass is introduced without pressure into the cavity of the metal box.
- SU-A-947 33l does not indicate that solid pellets had previously been introduced into the metal box and that these had been compressed or pretensioned, if necessary. Rather, the SU-A-947 33l takes a different route by proposing an expanding plastic mass for filling the metal box.
- the invention is based on the object of specifying a method with which a node connection for rod structures, in particular of steel structures, can be produced in a simple, safe and quick manner with low material expenditure.
- This object is achieved in that first a pressure-resistant solid granulate with a grain size between 5 and 100 mm is filled, that the solid granulate is prestressed and that finally a shrink-free hardening fluid, for example a shrink-free and fast, is filled into the metal box hardening cement-based extrusion mortar or a low-shrinkage hardening thermoplastic or duroplastic is introduced.
- a shrink-free hardening fluid for example a shrink-free and fast
- Pressure-resistant and temperature-resistant materials are suitable as solid granules, e.g. Glass or metal balls, stones, slag granules, an approximately spherical shape and an approximately uniform grain size also being advantageous.
- a solid granulate with an essentially uniform grain size which increases with the size of the metal box in the range between 5 and 100 mm, preferably between 10 and 50 mm, is advantageously filled into the metal box. In this way, a tight and void-free filling of the metal box is achieved.
- a knot connection with a filling opening arranged on the upper side of the metal box which can be closed with a mandrel
- the mandrel serves on the one hand to seal the metal box after filling in the solid granules and on the other hand to compress the same.
- the mandrel can also have an opening through which the fluid can then be filled later.
- the mandrel is preferably driven in by screwing in.
- a knot connection comprises a metal box 1 with a convex central part approximately in the form of a flattened ball. From the central part, projections 3 tapering in a star shape extend to openings 2 of the metal box 1.
- FIG. 1 In the right - uncut - half of FIG. 1 there is shown an opening 2 for a rod 4 in the form of a square tube and a further opening 2 for a rod 4 in the form of a round tube.
- An advantage of the knot connection according to the invention is that the rods 4 do not need to have the same cross section. Diagonal bars can e.g. are designed to be weaker than belt rods.
- each constricted end section of the rods 4 two oppositely conical insertion parts 5, 6 are arranged on opposite sides of the constriction.
- the constriction is adapted to the shape of the insertion parts 5, 6.
- the two insertion parts 5, 6 are clamped together in a longitudinally displaceable manner by a tension member 7 in the form of a high-strength screw or several such screws (FIG. 4) within the end section of the rod 4, so that they fit snugly against the inner wall of the pipe on opposite sides of the constriction .
- a filling opening 8 is provided on the top of the metal box 1.
- the filling of the metal box 1 consists of a pressure-resistant solid granulate and a hardened fluid that fills the cavities between the granules.
- the solid granulate is advantageously a single-grain material which is selected in the range between 6 and 100 mm, preferably between 10 and 50 mm, with the grain size which, together with the fluid, ensures a homogeneous filling of the metal box 1.
- the filling opening 8 provided at the top of the metal box 1 is several times larger than the grain size of the solid granulate. It can be closed with a pointed mandrel (not shown in the drawing) which projects into the metal box 1.
- the mandrel can be provided with an external thread, for example, which can be screwed into a corresponding internal thread of the filling opening 8.
- the node connection is established as follows:
- the pressure-resistant solid granulate is poured into the metal box 1, into the end sections of the rods 4. This solid granulate is then compressed by applying a vibrator to the metal box 1 and then the mandrel projecting with its pointed end into the metal box 1 is screwed into the filling opening 8, so that the solid granulate is pre-tensioned. Through a small opening in the mandrel, the non-shrinking or low-shrinking fluid is finally poured into the metal box 1. At the highest point of the metal box l, a venting and filling control hole is provided - not shown in the drawing.

Abstract
