Definitions

  • the invention relates to a glow lamp insert for electrical installation switches of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
  • Function (1) is achieved in that the tap for the power supply of the glow lamp is made via the two contact springs parallel to the switch.
  • a contact bridge attached to the connection terminal must establish the electrical contact between the screw terminal and a contact part of the switch.
  • Function (2) is ensured by using the glow lamp insert without the contact bridge.
  • the glow lamp is connected to only one contact spring.
  • the second pole is the screw terminal to which the neutral conductor is connected.
  • the disadvantage of this known glow lamp insert is that a screw terminal is used which requires three different connection options for the supply of the glow lamp, the connection of the lead wire for connection to the neutral conductor and the contact bridge designed as a contact tongue for contacting a contact part of the switch.
  • the screw terminal is of relatively complicated construction and requires corresponding measures for fastening it in or on the glow lamp housing.
  • a two-part glow lamp base is known, which can be plugged onto the upper part of an installation device, contact being made in the upper part of the screwless connection terminals for supplying power to the glow lamp.
  • the terminal provided with a clamping spring is thus assigned to the installation device in a known manner, and no measures have been taken on the glow lamp base that enable the same base of the glow lamp and the installation device to be used on the one hand as a pilot light and on the other hand as a control light.
  • the object of the invention is to simplify the construction and assembly of a glow lamp insert according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the contacting of the various conductors to be connected to the connection terminal is to be facilitated.
  • the glow lamp insert according to the invention has a second contact spring which is clamped in a terminal which is in electrical contact with the glow lamp and which has a contact lug for the purpose of contacting a switch contact part.
  • the second contact spring is not permanently installed on the glow lamp base, but is releasably clamped in the connection terminal.
  • connection terminal is not designed as a screw terminal, but as a spring terminal, which means a further simplification.
  • the contact closure is ensured by the spring contact pressure of the leaf spring held in tension in the clamping piece as well as in the case of a contact pressure which is built up by tightening a screw. It is advantageous that the second supply line of the glow lamp can also be quickly and easily clamped into the spring clip. The same applies to the line wire to be connected if necessary.
  • the contact lug of the second contact spring is attached at the end to an S-shaped middle section of the second contact spring.
  • the glow lamp insert can be used for lighting purposes.
  • the glow lamp is powered on the one hand via the first contact spring and on the other hand indirectly via the second contact spring to the connection terminal of the glow lamp. (Switching sequence: switch off / lamp burns or switch on / lamp does not burn).
  • the second contact spring can be easily removed.
  • the lead wire required in this case, a neutral conductor can then just as easily be clamped into the connection terminal designed as a spring terminal. (Switching sequence: switch on / lamp burns or switch off / lamp does not burn).
  • Figures 1 to 6 show a glow lamp insert of the first embodiment, which can be fastened in the bottom of the switch base;
  • Figures 7 to 12 show a glow lamp insert of the second embodiment, which can be attached to the top of the switch base, to the side of the switch actuating element.
  • the glow lamp insert essentially consists of an upper part 1 and a lower part 2 of a glow lamp housing, which is held together by first and second latching lugs 13, 14 forming a latching connection, a glow lamp 3, one which serves to limit the current Series resistor 4, a terminal 6 arranged in a compartment of the upper part 1 of the glow lamp housing, a first contact spring 5 and a second contact spring 7, and first and second supply lines 8, 9.
  • First contact spring 5, first supply line 8, series resistor 4, glow lamp 3 , second supply line 9 and second contact spring 7 are electrically connected in series in this order.
  • the terminal 6 designed as a spring clip consists of a clamping piece 10 and a leaf spring 11.
  • the clamping piece 10 preferably consists of a U-shaped metal piece, on the wall of which a V-shaped groove 30 is formed. This groove 30 is used to hold a lead wire 21 in a non-jamming manner.
  • the leaf spring 11 consists of an essentially V-shaped piece of strip metal. Because of the compressive stress occurring on the bent leaf spring 11, both the second feed line 9 and the second contact spring 7 are pressed against a wall of the clamping piece 10 and held.
  • the one clamping leg of the leaf spring 11 forms an acute angle, preferably 45 °, with one end of the second contact spring 7, and because one leg engages in the second contact spring 7 with sharp edges, prevents the second contact spring 7 from slipping out largely prevented. If one reaches with a suitable tool (e.g. a screwdriver) through two overlapping openings 15, both in upper part 1 and in lower part 2 of the glow lamp housing, and compresses the leaf spring 11 against the existing tension, the second contact spring 7 can be pushed out. In the same way, the lead wire 21 can be inserted and clamped.
  • a suitable tool e.g. a screwdriver
  • the connecting terminal 6 is designed as a spring terminal, one end of the second supply line 9 can also be clamped between the clamping piece 10 and the leaf spring 11 of the connecting terminal 6 in a simple and expedient manner, as shown in particular in FIG.
  • the second contact spring 7 is bent in an S-shaped manner in the central region for the purpose of building up a spring pressure force and is thus of resiliently elastic design.
  • the contact tab 12 of the second contact spring 7 is formed by one end of the second contact spring 7, which protrudes from the upper part 1 of the glow lamp housing.
  • the sleeve 19 molded onto the upper part 1 of the glow lamp housing is inserted into the corresponding base receptacle 18 of the switch base 17 for the purpose of reliably holding the glow lamp insert on the switch base 17 and held in a latching manner by means of third latching lugs 20, the correspondingly dimensioned presses second contact spring 7 together somewhat, whereby it contacts the contact part 16 of the switch with a certain contact pressure.
  • FIGS 7 to 12 show the glow lamp insert of the second embodiment.
  • the glow lamp insert of the second embodiment essentially consists of a glow lamp housing 22, a glow lamp 3, a series resistor 4, a first and second feed line 8, 9, a connecting terminal 26 and a first and second contact spring 25, 27.
  • a glow lamp housing 22 a glow lamp 3
  • a series resistor 4 a first and second feed line 8, 9, a connecting terminal 26 and a first and second contact spring 25, 27.
  • a sleeve-like housing part 23 is pushed over a partial area of the glow lamp housing 22 and held by a fifth latching lug 29. This is done for the purpose of holding the terminal 26, which is otherwise constructed the same as the terminal 6 of the first embodiment.
  • the glow lamp insert of the second exemplary embodiment is held in a latching manner on the base receptacle 18 by means of resilient webs 24, on which fourth locking lugs 28 are formed.
