Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for delimiting a lane with, e.g. glued-on base plates and a flag which can be inserted or removed in a recess of each base plate, a connecting device being provided for easy and quick detachment of the flag from the base plate.
  • lane delimiters are arranged at the edges of the lane or in the middle between adjacent lanes as lane dividers, which consist of a base plate and a rubber flag or plastic flag that protrudes from the base plate.
  • lane markers are glued to the road surface or fastened using nails, screws or bolts. Since the flag is firmly anchored to the base plate, the flag can only be removed from the roadway together with the base plate.
  • the problem arises when dividing a freeway directional lane into three lanes, two of which are in one direction, e.g. out of town, and lead one in the opposite direction if you want to reverse one of the two lanes leading out of town in the opposite direction for the purpose of facilitating the return flow flowing into town.
  • the lane delimiters arranged between the lanes leading in different directions must be offset by one lane in a very short period of time before the return flow traffic begins.
  • a lane delimiter of the type mentioned is known with a base plate fastened to the carriageway and having a recess, in the recess of which the shaft of any traffic sign can be inserted.
  • a compression spring provided in a transverse bore of the shaft and a steel ball pressed by the latter into an annular groove in the base plate recess form a releasable connecting device between the base plate and the traffic sign.
  • This connecting device formed from several individual parts is relatively complicated and expensive.
  • this connection device is not rollover-proof, i.e. that the traffic signs are torn from their anchoring in the base plate by vehicles rolling over them, which is why this known lane limiter cannot be used in narrow construction site areas.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a limiting device which is secured in its position of use and which enables lanes to be laid in a short period of time and without great expenditure on material and costs.
  • the device has a plurality of marking sets, each of which is formed from at least two floor plates and a flag, the marking sets being arranged on adjacent lanes in such a way that at least one row of floor plates without Flags are each provided along a lane and a row of floor plates equipped with flags is provided along a further adjacent lane and the connecting device as a groove which extends transversely into the base plate from at least one side of the base plate and is open at the bottom and corresponds to the lower end of the flag is provided to the groove extension, the flag can be inserted from the side into the groove of the base plate, that each flag is provided with at least one recess serving as a grip hole and that a snap between the groove of the base plate and the extension of the flag Fuse is provided t, which is formed by a transversely to the groove or to the flag, integrally formed with one of the parts elevation and a corresponding indentation on the counterpart, this snap-locking is releasable by lateral displacement
  • the flag for the purpose of changing a lane, can be quickly removed from the base plate, with no manipulations, in particular no manipulations with a tool, and just as quickly and in turn without the need for time-consuming manipulations in an already fastened on the road at the desired location
  • Use a floor slab which means that only a short period of time is necessary to move a lane, so that it is also possible to move a lane extending over several kilometers without significant traffic disruption.
  • DE-A 3 412 999 discloses a barrier beacon for channeling traffic routing in pivoting areas in front of motorway construction sites, which has a base plate and an upstanding signal image carrier anchored in it in a form-fitting manner.
  • the base plate of this known barrier beacon is not attached to the roadway, which is why it can be moved by vehicles rolling over it.
  • Another disadvantage of this known barrier beacon is the fact that the signal image carrier is torn from its anchoring in the base plate when it is rolled over or by strong wind forces.
  • EP-A 20 134 607 discloses a guide device for securing the construction site with a stand plate into which a stand profile is inserted, the stand profile being able to be positively clamped in a recess in the stand plate by means of mechanical means.
  • detaching the stand profile from the stand plate is associated with time-consuming manipulations.
  • a device for laying a track divider is known from EP-A 10125 817, the track divider being formed from raised parts which are articulated in the form of a link chain and rest on the road surface. These parts can be moved from one side of a carriageway to the other side of the carriageway by means of an arch-shaped receptacle.
  • the disadvantage here is that a simple laying of the roadway divider is only possible if it is not connected to the roadway, i.e. lies loosely on the road. In the case of gluing, the parts first have to be detached from the road and, after being moved to the new position, glued to the road again, which is cumbersome and involves waiting times.
  • a road marking nail is known from GB-A 1 560 288, which can be inserted into a bore provided on the roadway and can be fixed relative to it by a dowel-like connecting means.
  • a sleeve can be placed on the marking nail, but it cannot be used as a road divider since it cannot be driven over.
  • a lane limiter is known with a stone that can be used in the lane and has a dovetail-shaped groove that is open to the side and into which a flag can be inserted from the side. Since the stone, in order to be able to be rolled over, must be sunk into the road until the groove with its side opening lies below the surface of the road, it is necessary to lift the stone out of the road to install or remove the flag, thereby it is unsuitable for optionally limiting a lane.
  • FIG. 1 shows a front view of a lane limiter
  • Fig. 2 shows a side view of the same in the direction of arrow II of Fig. 1.
  • 3 and 4 each illustrate a highway section with oncoming traffic area at a construction site, with FIG. 3 the oncoming traffic area with two lanes in one first direction and one lane in the opposite direction, and FIG. 4 only one lane in the first direction and two Show lanes in the opposite direction.
  • the embodiment of a lane limiter shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a rectangular base plate 1, seen from above, which is designed as a low truncated pyramid.
  • the underside 2 of the base plate is provided with a mesh back 3, which increases the adhesion of an adhesive with which the base plate can be glued to a roadway.
  • Reflectors 5 can be cast into the sloping side surfaces 4 of the base plate.
  • the base plate 1 is preferably made of rubber or plastic.
  • a connecting device which is formed in the base plate 1 as a T-shaped or dovetail-shaped groove which is open at the top.
  • the groove 8 is open at least towards an inclined side surface 4 of the base plate and extends parallel to the longitudinal side of the base plate 1 across its upper side 9, so that the flag 7 is pushed into the base plate 1 from the side in the direction of the double arrow 10 or can be removed in the opposite direction from the base plate 1 without having to remove the base plate from the road.
  • the connecting device also includes a T-shaped or dovetail-shaped extension 11 arranged at the lower end of the lug 7, the cross section of which is designed to correspond to the cross section of the groove 8.
  • the flag 7 can also be provided with retroreflective devices 12, for example with a retroreflective sheeting.
  • the oncoming lane 19 should have two lanes 21, 22 out of town and one 23 in town or one lane 21 out of town and two lanes 22 ', 23 in town.
  • base plates 1 of the lane delimiters according to the invention are fastened, for example glued, to the two edges 24 of the middle lane 22.
  • the lane 23 leading into the city is clearly delimited from the lanes 21, 22 leading out of the city by flags 7 inserted into the base plates 1. Between the two adjacent lanes leading out of the city, only base plates 1 without flags are fastened, which base plates 1 serve as marking nails which may be run over for the purpose of overtaking.
  • the flags 7 arranged between the lanes 22 and 23 are removed from the base plates 1, the base plates 1 remaining on the road 19, and in the floor plates arranged between the adjacent lanes 21, 22 used. Since the base plates 1 remain in place, this process can be carried out quickly and easily, for example from a car which travels along the middle lane 22 (or 22 '). In this way it is possible to change lanes over long lanes in the shortest possible time.
  • an elevation 26 extending transversely to the groove is formed in the bottom of the groove 8, which interacts with an indentation 27 provided on the extension 11 of the flag 7 and corresponding to the elevation 26 and together with this one by displacement the flag 7 with respect to the base plate 1 forms an easily releasable snap securing of the flag with respect to the base plate.
