Definitions

  • the invention relates to a multi-layer flock transfer film blank which has a flock layer which is coated on its application side with a strongly adhesive thermal adhesive layer and is detachably attached to a stiffening carrier web on its visible side via a weakly adhesive adhesive layer.
  • Flock transfer film blanks are usually used to apply flat or linear figures to textile materials, e.g. B. Flags, T-shirts or the like.
  • flock transfer film blanks are known in which the flock layer, the congruent, weakly adhering adhesive layer and the congruent, stiffening carrier web have a rectangular basic shape.
  • the strong adhesive thermal adhesive layer is, however, only applied to a limited area in the form of the figure to be transferred.
  • the stiffening carrier web it is possible due to the stiffening carrier web to transfer even very delicate figures to textile material, but also to paper, smooth wooden surfaces or the like.
  • exact positioning of the figures is not possible.
  • the problem is in particular the precise fitting to already applied flock transfer figures, which, for. B. is required for the combination of different colored figures.
  • Flock transfer film blanks are also known in which the flock layer is provided on the application side with a thermal adhesive layer and on the visible side with an adhesive layer and a carrier web, but the said blank already has the shape of the figure to be applied. With such cuts, precise positioning of the figures or parts of the figures is possible; however, after ironing the blank, pulling off the stiffening carrier web is associated with considerable difficulties. In order to find a suitable grip, a corner of the carrier web must be lifted off with a fingernail or with a knife, which can easily damage the flock layer.
  • flock transfer film blanks which only consist of a flock layer with a thermal adhesive layer; the latter being covered by a protective film.
  • the blank generally has the shape of the figure to be transferred, the formation of Figures with different colored surface parts is provided.
  • the protective film must be removed from the thermal adhesive layer before ironing on, so that the parts of the figure to be applied become very limp and unstable and warping is not excluded.
  • the precisely fitting transfer particularly of delicate structures, is almost impossible.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a generic flock transfer film blank, in which a precisely fitting, in particular of delicate and / or multi-colored figures, is possible in a convenient manner and without damaging the flock layer, and in which large flock fiber lengths are also possible with the multi-colored structure of the figures can be provided.
  • the carrier web is provided on the outside with a strong adhesive thermal adhesive layer.
  • the blank can have the shape of the figure to be transferred from the outset, with the carrier web ensuring sufficient rigidity for a precisely fitting positioning even with a slender construction.
  • the blank is covered by a sheet of paper or a fabric of any shape and then ironed on, so that both thermal adhesive layers are activated.
  • the carrier web can then be easily removed using the additional paper sheet. If a multi-colored structure of a figure is desired, a second cut can now be made to fit the first one, with a particularly clean, gapless transition being obtained, in particular with longer flock fiber lengths.
  • the blank can be designed as a rectangular sheet which is evenly provided on both sides with the thermal adhesive layers up to the edge.
  • a rectangular arch can be used as a whole for decorative purposes, for example for the surface coating of walls or billiard tables. Since the carrier web is still connected to the sheet during ironing and thus guarantees the shape of the flock layer, the placement of several rectangular flock layers is completely uncritical despite the very long attachment lines. If necessary, the user can also cut out any figures from the rectangular sheet and then transfer them to a T-shirt or the like.
  • the blank can take the form of flat or linear figures such as. B. have circles, ellipses, letters or numbers.
  • the manufacturer's specification of the cut shape is particularly advantageous for more complex figures. Since the finished figures have sufficient inherent stability due to the stiffening carrier web, they can be delivered in their final form. As a result, the user is spared the detachment of stabilizing packaging carrier films or the like, and he can proceed directly to applying the blank.
  • the flock fiber length can be 0.3 to 1.5 mm, preferably about 1 mm.
  • This fiber length can also be realized in particular in the case of multicolored figures composed of several partial areas, so that the flock layer also has a soft, fluffy consistency in this case.
  • the blank can consist of two or more pre-punched flat pieces which are connected to one another via predetermined breaking webs.
  • the user has a number of possible variations. First of all, he can put the patches connected to one another by the predetermined breaking webs as a whole onto a textile base fabric or the like. transferred, with no transition lines visible after ironing on. In addition, there is also the possibility of separating the various areas and using them individually. Finally, the combination with a blank of the same shape but different color is particularly advantageous since differently colored patches can now be combined with one another.
  • the surface pieces of a figure blank can consist of one or more figure frames and a figure core.
  • differently colored figure blanks of the same shape can be combined in a particularly simple manner in this embodiment, since the structure as a figure frame and figure core provides a direct mutual alignment of the individual surface pieces.
  • a figure blank or rectangular sheet can be pre-punched into module-like surface pieces which are respectively connected via predetermined breaking webs.
  • all of the modular surface pieces can have the same shape and size.
  • the modular design of the individual surface pieces opens up multiple design options for the user with regard to the color structure and the shape of the overall figures.
  • FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of a flock transfer film blank 1 in the form of a rectangular sheet.
  • the blank has a flock layer 2, which has a highly adhesive thermal adhesive layer on its application side 3 4 is provided.
  • the flock layer 2 is connected via a weakly adhering adhesive layer 6 to a stiffening carrier web 7 which, for. B. can consist of paper.
  • the carrier web 7 is in turn provided on its outer side 8 with a further strongly adhesive thermal adhesive layer 9.
  • the two thermal adhesive layers 4, 9 extend on both sides 3, 8 of the blank 1 to the outer edge 10.
  • any images e.g. B. a linear image 11 (see FIG. 3) can be cut out, with the carrier web 7 ensuring sufficient rigidity of the image 11.
  • 4 shows the transfer of such an image 11 to a textile carrier web 12.
  • the image 11 is positioned exactly at the desired location, covered with an auxiliary paper sheet 13 or the like and ironed on.
  • the lower thermal adhesive layer 4 connects to the carrier layer 12, the upper thermal adhesive layer 9 to the sheet 13.
  • the sheet 13 can now easily be lifted at a corner 14 and pulled off together with the carrier sheet 7, with a detachment in the area of the adhesive layer 6 takes place.
  • the layer sequence is completely identical to the structure according to FIG. 2.
  • the blank 15 can initially be transferred as a whole without separating the webs 19, a flat image 20 having no visible transition lines being obtained after the carrier web 7 has been pulled off as shown in FIG. 10.
  • the surface pieces 16, 17, 18, as shown in FIGS. 7 to 9 can also be used individually or in combination with one another.
  • the surface pieces 16, 17, 18 can be aligned with one another particularly easily because the surface pieces 16 and 17 are frame-shaped and the surface piece 18 is designed as a figure core.
  • 11 shows a first example of a transferred image 21 after peeling off the carrier web 7 with a core 22 and an outer frame 23, which have emerged from the surface pieces 18 and 16.
  • 12 shows a second exemplary embodiment of a transferred image 24, which in turn has a frame 23.
  • the closed core 25 is set off from the outer frame 23 by a different coloring; however, the core has arisen from patches that correspond geometrically to patches 17, 18.
  • This example clearly shows that with two blanks 15 according to FIG. 5, with different coloring of the flock layers 2, there are a multitude of different possible combinations.
  • FIG. 13 shows a further embodiment for a blank 26, which consists of two pre-punched surface pieces 27, 28, the punching line 29 being designed as a middle dividing line running through to the edges.
  • the surface pieces 27, 28 are connected to one another by predetermined breaking webs 30, which opens up similar uses as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5.
  • FIG. 14 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a blank 31, which consists of pre-punched, block-like surface pieces 32 of the same shape and size, which pass through each other again Breakaway webs 33 are connected.
  • the square shaped blank 31 can either as a whole or as a combination of several sections 32, z. B. in the form of a cross.
  • a particularly large design range results when using differently colored blanks 31, which can be combined with one another as a whole or as partial surfaces.
  • the blank 31 is therefore particularly suitable for the mosaic-like design of larger areas.
