Definitions

  • the invention relates to a stationary two-column lifting platform for lifting a motor vehicle according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Such a two-column lift is known from AU-B-470 742.
  • This lift has two stationary columns, on each of which height-adjustable carriages with two spreadable support arms are arranged.
  • the support arms have support bodies at their ends, e.g. B. support plates that support the motor vehicle to be lifted at one point.
  • the carriages for the pairs of support arms are synchronously height-adjustable along the columns, so that the motor vehicle can be raised to the desired working height, after which the entire body floor of the motor vehicle is freely accessible.
  • a device for lifting and turning a motor vehicle is known from DE-GM-7 117 555.
  • This device has two mobile stands, which are pushed against the bow and rear of the motor vehicle, so that the motor vehicle is in the middle of the stand.
  • Each stand has a height-adjustable support which runs transversely to the longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle and which can additionally be pivoted about a pivot axis parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle.
  • the free ends of the swivel arms of both stand scaffolds are connected to side members that are adjustable in length.
  • the motor vehicle is raised with a jack. Then one wheel after the other is removed and the hub that is released in each case is fastened with brackets that are adjustably mounted on the longitudinal members.
  • the motor vehicle can be lifted by a spindle drive or motors on the stand scaffolding. If the motor vehicle is raised sufficiently high, the swivel arms can, for. B. be pivoted with a worm gear around the axis mentioned, so that the motor vehicle is rotated to the left or right in its central longitudinal axis. As a result, the body floor of the motor vehicle is freely accessible for work.
  • This known device is relatively complex to use. The work to put on the motor vehicle is cumbersome. The device also requires specially manufactured stand scaffolds, which are usually not available in a workshop.
  • a major disadvantage of this elaborately designed lifting platform is that the underbody of the motor vehicle can at least not be worked on at the points where the connecting struts between the cross members run. Since several such connection struts should be provided here, a considerable proportion of the vehicle floor remains inaccessible for repair work. If a platform is also provided, this lift cannot be used for the intended purpose.
  • the invention has for its object to design a stationary two-column lift of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that overhead work can be avoided with a simple construction, without thereby reducing the user-friendliness of such lifts.
  • the invention is based on the object of designing a stationary two-column lift of the type in question in such a way that overhead work in particular is avoided without thereby reducing the user-friendliness of such lift.
  • a conventional stationary two-post lift only needs to be modified slightly in order to bring a motor vehicle to a height and to pivot it about a transverse axis, so that the working field then lies practically directly in front of a mechanic.
  • the motor vehicle is raised in the usual way, that is to the Carrier arms attached to the slide are pivoted under the body floor of the motor vehicle and then the height of the slide is adjusted until they rest on the floor of the motor vehicle.
  • a separate jack for lifting the motor vehicle is not necessary.
  • the holding device is then connected to a fixed point on the motor vehicle.
  • a safe solution is to remove two wheels after lifting the motor vehicle and then to place and fasten a perforated flange on each of the free-standing threaded pins of the brake drum, which flange is connected to the articulation point of the swivel arms on the slide via the connecting arm.
  • the sleds are then raised in the usual way.
  • the actuating devices are actuated synchronously at the desired working height, so that the motor vehicle is pivoted transversely to the longitudinal direction. Since conventional stationary two-post lifts are mostly operated hydraulically or pneumatically, hydraulic or pneumatic servomotors are also suitable for swiveling. Swiveling is also possible via a working cylinder which is connected to a pivot bearing for the support arms.
  • a stationary two-column lift 1 has two vertical columns 2, each of which is fastened to the floor of a motor vehicle workshop by means of a base plate 3.
  • a carriage 4 is slidably mounted along each of the two columns 2. The shift is usually carried out with the aid of a spindle drive or hydraulically.
  • a servomotor 5 is connected to each carriage 4, the rotating part 6 of which can be rotated about a horizontal axis A. This axis of rotation A is common to both servomotors.
  • On each rotating part 6, a receiving frame 7 is attached, at the two ends of which a support arm 8 is pivotally articulated.
  • the length-adjustable support arms 8 have support plates 9 at their ends.
  • a motor vehicle 10 ( Figure 2) is moved with the carriage 4 lowered between the two columns 2, then the support arms 8 held horizontally with the aid of the servomotors 5 are pivoted under the motor vehicle such that the support plates 9 can reach under the body points of the motor vehicle 10. The motor vehicle is then raised slightly so that the wheels of the motor vehicle, for. B. the front wheels 11 can be removed.
  • a hole flange 12 is attached and screwed onto each of the now exposed threaded bolts, which is pivotally connected to the receiving frame 7 via a connecting arm 13 which is variable in length but can be fixed in length. Thereafter, the motor vehicle 10 is fixed in position on the two-post lift 1.
  • FIG 1 only one of the connecting arms 13 used is shown with the perforated flange 12.
  • the motor vehicle fixed in this way on the two-column lifting platform 1 is raised in the usual manner to the desired working height by synchronously moving the carriage 4 and then pivoted about the horizontal axis A common to the two servomotors by switching on the servomotors 5.
  • the motor vehicle can be moved into an inclined position according to FIG. 2.
