Definitions

  • the invention relates to a wall connection profile (hereinafter simply called “profile”) with the features mentioned in the preambles of claims 1 and 2.
  • a wall connection profile of this type is known from the document US A 1 361 843 FLAGGE.
  • the wall connection profile according to this document should enable the application of a layer of plaster on the wall and on the ceiling.
  • the profile is also intended to prevent cracks from forming in the gypsum layers in the corner area if the two gypsum layers form as a result of thermal expansion, shrinkage and the like. move against each other.
  • the well-known profile is bent by a series of bends made of sheet metal and leaves a space free in the corner between the ceiling and the wall.
  • the present invention is intended to provide a wall connection profile of the type mentioned, which enables compensatory movements of cladding panels (including plaster supports or planks of wooden ceilings) or plaster layers in any direction, that is to say above all against one another from the mounting position. It should also allow the ceiling to be lowered or the walls to move inwards without cracks forming in a layer of plaster. This is particularly important if the ceiling and walls are made of different materials, e.g. the walls made of concrete or masonry and the ceilings made of wood.
  • a resiliently movable profile is formed in various ways. According to claim 1, this is done by a transition section, which starts at the bottom of the contact section and merges with a curve into an upwardly directed profile piece, the upper edge of which is folded against the wall leg and connected to it by a web.
  • transition section of simpler shape which has a connecting section in the form of a flat strip, which on the one hand merges into the wall leg, on the other hand into the contact section, and which forms an acute angle with the connecting section.
  • the resiliently movable profile is capable of resiliently deflecting through its transition section in all possible mutual displacements of the edges of the cladding panels etc. lying on the profile or plaster layers.
  • a stretching and crumpling zone is thus formed, which not only allows the profile to be pulled apart, but above all also to be compressed. This is the only way to reliably prevent cracking in the plaster.
  • US-A-1 676 582 STUART also relates to a wall connection profile, of which one profile part is to be fastened to a wall and another to a ceiling.
  • the profile has a profile nose that is bent inwards and upwards from the wall leg, which is to be used for hanging pictures.
  • a gutter adjoining the wall leg leads to a further profile part abutting the wall above the wall leg.
  • Figure 1 shows a wall 101 made of concrete or masonry and a ceiling 103 made of wood.
  • the profile designated as a whole by 105 has a receiving section 107 which is used to fasten a cladding panel or a plaster base, here a plasterboard panel 109, to the ceiling.
  • Drywall screws 111 can be turned into the ceiling through the plasterboard and the receiving portion 107.
  • the wall leg 113 is used to fasten the profile to the wall, which can be done with the help of dowels, screws and mortar.
  • the wall leg 113 is connected to the receiving section 107 by a resilient transition section 112. Part of the transition section forms a “contact section” 115. This is at a distance from the wall 101 from the thickness of the plaster layer to be applied and permits the application of a pull-off bar when a plaster layer 125 is applied.
  • the lower end of the contact section merges through a curve 117 into a profile piece 119 which is directed upward, ie parallel to the wall, and is spaced apart from the contact section. The upper edge of this profile piece is folded against the wall.
  • a web 121 connects it to the wall leg 113.
  • the parts 117, 119 and 121 together form the connecting section 123.
  • the width of the connecting section parallel to the ceiling is slightly less than the thickness of the plaster layer to be applied. More specifically, the distance between the wall and the room-side surface of the contact section 115 is equal to the thickness of the plaster layer 125.
  • the wall leg 113 or the receiving section 107 or both can be perforated, which promotes ventilation of the remaining corner space. With the wall leg, the perforation improves the adhesion of the plaster layer.
  • the plasterboard 109 or a plaster base are plastered. Planks of a wooden ceiling can also be plastered. If they later move towards the wall 101 in the event of thermal expansion or shrinkage, the profile 105 is changed in its cross-sectional shape.
  • the upper corner 122 namely that between the receiving section and the wall leg can change its angle.
  • the whole connecting portion 123 may change in shape, and the angle between the connecting portion 123 and the wall portion 113 may also change. As has been shown, there were no cracks in the corner between the cladding panels and wall legs or between the latter and the plaster layer, even after considerable loads on the installation due to impacts or shaking movements.
  • FIG. 2 shows a somewhat simplified embodiment of a profile 105 '.
  • Receiving section 107, contact section 115 and wall limbs 113 have the same shape and also the same mutual positions as in the profile according to FIG Wall leg 113 and the contact section 115 passes. This simplified form is sufficient for many applications.
  • the wall leg 113 ' can be bent upwards instead of downwards.
  • This embodiment is recommended for so-called suspended ceilings, i.e. ceilings that are at a distance from the ceiling of the building.
  • the wall leg can protrude upwards.
