Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1 (known from GB-A-1 122 567).
  • DTV data carrier processing systems
  • a device for connecting two folding stacks for printers is known from GB-A-1 122 567.
  • the device consists of a frame with a longitudinal sliding plane with a storage area and with a working area facing the printer.
  • the shifting plane can accommodate several folding stacks.
  • a large number of individual rollers are provided for moving the folding stacks.
  • the folding stacks are arranged on both sides by an adhesive device and the ends of the stacks are hooked onto this adhesive device and connected to one another.
  • the object of the invention is to design a gluing station of the type mentioned in such a way that continuous paper made up in conventional folding stacks in which the last sheets of the stack are arranged at the bottom can be easily connected to one another without the folding stacks having to be raised in order to reach the lower sheet .
  • the folding stacks Due to the arrangement according to the invention of a longitudinal displacement plane from a storage area and a working area facing the printer, a turning gap arranged between the storage area and the working area and running perpendicular to the displacement plane, the folding stacks can easily be glued together without lifting. This is done in that when a folding stack lying on the storage area is moved over the turning gap, the bottom sheet of the folding stack slides into this turning gap, whereby after the folding stack has been completely moved into the working area, the bottom sheet of the folding stack for connection to the top sheet of the following folding stack the turning gap swivels freely accessible behind the folding stack on the work area.
  • a device pulling the sheet into the turning gap can be provided in the turning gap, e.g. can consist of a suction device or a deflection roller having a sticky surface.
  • the adhesive device can be pivotally assigned to the turning gap.
  • the adhesive device then being arranged in a special adhesive gap in the work area.
  • the shifting plane can have conveyor belts for transporting the folded stacks, or else the shifting plane itself has a sliding surface which has a character similar to corrugated iron, so that the depressions in the surface can serve as recessed grips for the hands.
  • the following gluing station described with reference to the figures is used to produce a continuous paper web in the paper feed of a laser printer 1, which is only shown schematically here pre-folded continuous paper and a working area 5 facing the printer 1, from which the paper web of the folded stacks 4 which are then connected to one another is fed to the laser printer 1.
  • a turning gap 6 running perpendicular to the displacement plane, the function of which will be explained in detail later with reference to FIG. 2.
  • An adhesive device 8 which can be pivoted into the turning gap 6 via pivoting elements 7 is arranged in the turning gap 6.
  • the sliding plane is provided with a sliding surface both in the storage area and in the working area, which has a longitudinal corrugated sheet-like structure 9, so that when the fold is put on stack 4 or their displacement, the fingers can slide in the troughs of the corrugated sheet structure 9.
  • the sliding surface consists of conveyor belts which are divided in two in the longitudinal direction and thus leave a grip area in the middle.
  • a pivotable centering device 10 is provided after the work area 5, which in the folded state (with the representation of FIG. 1) rests on the paper feed area of the laser printer.
  • the centering device contains a deflection roller 13 in the region of its pivot axis, which cooperates with a deflection roller 12 assigned to the frame.
  • the side surfaces 11 in connection with the top surface 14 form a protective box for the paper web, which serves both as a kick protection for the running paper web and also facilitates the removal of a paper stack 15 which is only shown schematically here and is still present in the printer.
  • the function of the gluing station is explained on the basis of the representations a to e of FIG. 2.
  • the pre-folded continuous paper is delivered in folding stack 4.
  • the weight of the approx. 15 kg folding stack lies fully on the bottom sheet of the folding stack, which makes it difficult to access the bottom sheet.
  • the folded stacks are placed on the storage area 3 of the shifting level in the unpacked state so that the bottom sheet with its free end points towards the turning gap 6. 1, when the folding stack 4 is moved into the region of the turning gap 6, the bottom sheet can be grasped by hand in the region of its free end and pressed down.
  • roller 16 With a sticky surface shown in FIG. 2, it is also possible to arrange a generally known suction device, not shown here, for generating a low negative pressure in order to pull the bottom sheet of the folding stack into the turning gap 6 analogously to the known sheet lifting devices in sheet separators.
  • a generally known suction device not shown here, for generating a low negative pressure in order to pull the bottom sheet of the folding stack into the turning gap 6 analogously to the known sheet lifting devices in sheet separators.
  • the adhesive device for connecting the individual sheets of the folding stack can now be designed in accordance with FIGS. 3 or 4.
  • it consists of a cutting element 21 for a support surface 23 having an adhesive tape 22 which can be shifted to the left or right within the turning gap by means of an adjusting screw 24.
  • Adjustment pins 25 are arranged on the support surface 23, which engage in the perforations in the margins 26 of the individual sheets of the folding stack 4 to be connected and thus adjust the sheets.
  • an adjusting device (not shown here in detail) is provided, which makes it possible to adjust the adjusting pins 25 to the different widths of different continuous papers.
  • Such an adjustment device can e.g.
  • a guide device 27 for the adhesive tape 22 which is articulated on one side and is pivotable via a joint 20 on the support surface 23, is pivoted over the seam of the single sheets and then the adhesive tape is received via a push handle 29 which holds the supply roll 28 for the adhesive tape 22 applied to the single sheets via a pressure roller 30 made of rubber.
  • the cutting edges 21 serving as a lateral limitation separate the adhesive tape 22 when the pressure roller is passed over.
  • the guide device 27 is then pivoted in the direction of the arrow and the entire adhesive device is pivoted out of the turning gap 6 again.
  • a bearing surface 32 having tear-off edges 31 is also provided.
  • adjustment pins 34 which are fixed on one side and on the other side adjustable in width via a slide guide 33 for receiving the edge perforation 26 of the folding stacks.
  • the slide guide 33 can be changed with the help of an adjusting screw 35 in its width corresponding to the width of the continuous paper.
  • the guide edges 36 delimiting the tear-off edges 31 are provided for exact guidance of the adhesive tape.
  • the two folding stacks are connected by first hanging the bottom and top sheets of the folding stacks into the adjusting pins 34 and then pulling off the adhesive tape from a supply roll 37 guided on one side on the support surface.
  • the adhesive tape is centered on the connecting seam of the folded stacking sheets via the lateral guide pins 36, the tear-off edges 31 severing the adhesive tape in the desired width.
