Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and a device according to the preamble of claim 13.
  • collated sheets or signatures are conveyed into book block tongs of a transport system with a defined tag and joined to a book or booklet block by applying an adhesive to the processed block spine.
  • a cover-applying and pressing device joins a grooved envelope to the book or booklet block, the envelope being pressed against the block spine and adjacent side portions during the continuous movement of the book or booklet block.
  • Saddle stitchers are used for the production of saddle-stitched magazines and magazines.
  • Nesting folded sheets are joined together with an envelope from the outside to the inside through the back with wire clamps form-fitting.
  • the envelope is previously fed via a Umtschfalzanleger the folded sheet collection by the envelope folded and istooth stored on a folding sheet collection transporting collector chain.
  • cover feeders as a flat pile feeder, vertical sheet feeder or shed feeder. They all have in common that the envelopes must be loaded in batches by hand in the magazines or on the Schuppenanlegebs. Skill and experience in dealing with large-scale envelopes are required for speedy and perfect loading. For perfect binders and saddle stitchers in the upper performance range, it is usually necessary to park a worker solely for loading the cover feeder.
  • a further disadvantage is that the envelopes cut to the desired size on plan cutting can have dimensional and angular deviations which result in the final product in an inaccurate position of the envelope to the book block.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide for a generic method and a generic device, such as a reliable and proper feeding of the envelopes is made possible to the inner parts that requires a small operating effort.
  • the cutting of the envelopes in the plan cutter is eliminated.
  • the envelopes are made with high accuracy during the envelope feed in the perfect binder.
  • the production, handling and temporary storage of the rolled-up transhipment track is also associated with reduced expenses.
  • the transfer web is printed after unwinding.
  • simple, e.g. Solid envelopes can be produced quickly and cost-effectively with the desired content without the use of a separate printing press.
  • the method also enables the immediate production of elaborately designed, color-printed envelopes on the perfect binder.
  • a preferred embodiment according to claim 8 provides that the so-called Combined Endsheets are separated immediately before their merging with the book block by Abire from a combined intent sheet web.
  • the separation of the cover sheet takes place only immediately before contacting with the inner part.
  • the severed cover sheets arrive over a relatively short conveyor line directly to the place of assembly.
  • the separated cover sheets are buffered in a magazine according to claim 10.
  • the number of buffered cover sheet can be kept so low that a reliable separation of the cover sheet is still given in contrast to the magazines known from the prior art envelope feeder. Buffering enables continuous and uniform unwinding of the transfer path, regardless of potential performance fluctuations on the perfect binder or saddle stitcher.
  • claims 11 and 12 specify preferred applications of the method according to the invention in an adhesive binder or in a saddle stitcher.
  • an unrolling device arranged upstream of the envelope application device for unwinding a transfer web from a roll, and a cross cutter for separating a cover sheet from the transfer web.
  • the figures each show a partial view of an adhesive binder 1, which has a transport system 16 with a plurality of in a closed, oval-shaped orbit continuously movable and drivingly interconnected book block pliers 17, with an import for feeding the folded book block 2 to the book block pliers 17 and with an export to run the bound booklets 14 or book block 15.
  • first rectilinear conveying path of the transport system 16 means for back processing 18, back gluing 19 and side gluing 20 of the book block 2 are arranged.
  • second rectilinear conveyor line are an envelope feed 23 a, b, c or d and at least one Umschlaganpressvorraum 24, for pressing an envelope 10, 11, 12 or 13 on the glued book block spine of the book jack. 2
  • the envelope feed 23 a, b, c and d a rolling device 30 for unrolling a transfer path 4, wherein the transfer path 4 of a Puller roller pair 31 is subtracted from the recorded in the unwinding device 30 Umtschrolle 3.
  • a cross cutter 35 is arranged, for separating an envelope 10, 11, 12 or 13 from the transfer 4.
  • the separated envelope 10, 11, 12 or 13 is transferred to an envelope conveyor 21, consisting of two parallel juxtaposed conveyor belt 21 a with drivers 21 b, and transported by this up to a pressure roller 22, the envelope 10,11,12 or 13 presses on the book block back.
  • a pressure table can also be used.
  • the Umtschanpress coupled 24 which presses the envelope 10, 11, 12 or 13 with rotating Andschreibschienen from below and laterally to the book block back.
  • a first in Fig. 1 illustrated embodiment 23 a of the envelope feed has in addition to the unwinding device 30, the pair of take-off rollers 31 and the cross cutter 35, a dancer roller system 32 and a creasing device 34 with rotary scoring tools 34 a and allows the provision and delivery of simple, two or four times grooved envelopes 10th ,
  • the creasing of the envelopes takes place on the quasi-endless transfer web 4, whereby a continuous transport of the transfer web 4 is given by the dancer roller system 32 regardless of potentially occurring power fluctuations on the perfect binder.
  • the fact that individual envelopes are no longer run with their leading edge in the creasing tools, the grooves of the envelopes is gentle to the product and of high quality.

  • the Diffraction nozzle 38 a In the Desired 38, not shown, the Desired nozzle 38 a and glued onto the transfer track 4.
  • the card adhesive 37 also not shown, removes the advertising card 6 a stack 6 a and places it, provided with a glue trace, in defined, the later envelope height corresponding distances on the transfer path 4 from.
  • the envelope feed 23 b is equipped with a buffer magazine 39, in which the separated from the cross cutter 36 envelopes 11 are discharged.
  • the envelope stack has only a low stacking height and a low stacking load, so it does not come to displacements and / or adherence between the envelopes 11, the reliable separation of the envelopes 11 from the buffer magazine 39 would hinder.
  • Fig. 3 is a third embodiment 23 c of the envelope feeder shown. It allows the provision and supply of so-called Combined Endsheets 12, consisting of two mutually parallel and flat-glued with a Klalzelst Shape 5 Vorsatzpathn, for the production of rebated and with Vorsatzpathn provided book block 15th
