Definitions

  • the invention relates to a driving tool for fastening means, in particular for staples, nails, etc., with a housing in which a power-driven driving plunger is arranged, a tool section arranged on the housing and containing a driving-in channel in which the driving plunger is guided during the driving-in process , a magazine for the fasteners, in which the fasteners are advanced in the direction of the drive channel with the aid of a spring-loaded pusher, and a reset element which can be actuated by an actuating section and which projects with a cam in a recess in the tool section, the cam in a first Position of the reset member on the side opposite the magazine is outside the drive channel and releases the feed of the respective front fastener into the drive channel and in the second position engages the front fastener and its feed into the egg ntrebkanal prevented.
  • Such a driving tool is known from DE-B-1 911 341.
  • the reset element is part of a safety device. It contains a resilient lock arranged on the side of the drive channel facing away from the magazine, which in the rest position protrudes into the drive channel and prevents the forward fastening means from being fed into the drive channel.
  • the tool section has an actuating section which projects above the drive-in channel and which is displaced upward when the drive-in device is placed on the workpiece and moves the resilient lock out of the drive-in channel. In the known driving tool, this prevents a fastener from being driven out without the driving tool being placed on a workpiece. Only when the tool section is placed on a workpiece can the respective front fastener be pushed into the drive channel.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a driving tool for fasteners, the driving plunger used as a striking tool. can be.
  • first position of the cam is its normal position, that the cam can be brought into the second position by the manually operated actuating section and the cam in the second position also releases the drive channel for any number of drive strokes of the plunger.
  • the reset member is used, in the desired case, the fastening means, for. B. the clamp rod to move back in the magazine against the feed spring, so that the drive channel is completely free.
  • the plunger can perform any number of blows and can therefore be used as a striking tool to z. B. driving particularly long fasteners into a hard or solid workpiece.
  • the safety direction of the driving tool mentioned at the beginning cannot be used to execute multiple strikes.
  • the feed slide pushes a new fastening means into the driving channel after each driving stroke of the driving plunger, so that a further fastening means is pushed with each stroke. Since the fasteners cannot be driven out, they jam in the drive channel.
  • the design of the driving tool according to the invention requires only minimal additional effort and can be used for any driving tool.
  • the restoring member is a one-piece slide, which is slidably mounted on the magazine or on the tool section and has an actuating section facing outwards.
  • the use of a slider is particularly advantageous if, according to a further embodiment of the innovation, the tool section has a component with a U-shaped cross section, which is attached from the front and rests laterally against the magazine with its legs, the slider is slidably mounted on one leg and the cam is passed through a recess of the leg and is in the normal position in a recess of the web of the U-shaped component.
  • the covering of the drive channel is thus interrupted via the recess in the leg or web of the U-shaped component. In the rest position of the slide, this recess is covered by a section of the slide so that no object can get into the drive channel from the outside.
  • an embodiment of the invention provides that the reset member can be locked in the working position by latching. According to a further embodiment of the invention, the latching cannot be overcome by the feed force of the feed spring, but can be released by manual actuation.
  • a tool section 10 is attached, in which an input channel 11 is formed.
  • the drive-in channel carries a drive-in tappet 12 which is correspondingly mounted in the housing and is driven by means of a magnetic coil.
  • the tool section 10 is essentially formed by a part 13 with a U-shaped cross section, which is attached from the front and has a web 14 and legs 15, 16.
  • a magazine 17 for U-clips 18 is received by the component 13.
  • the legs of the brackets 18 are relatively long.
  • the staples 18 lined up in the form of a rod on a support are advanced in the direction of the firing channel 11 with the aid of a feeder, not shown, which is biased by a spring, not shown.
  • the driving plunger 12 In the rest position, the driving plunger 12 is normally located outside the driving channel 11, so that the foremost bracket is already in the driving channel when the driving device is actuated.
  • the web 14 of the component 13 lies against the end face of the magazine 17, while the legs 15, 16 rest against the outside of the magazine 17.
  • a slide 19 is mounted on the leg 15 of the component 10. It has a block-shaped actuating section 20, on which an L-shaped cam 21 is formed at the front, the leg of which extends perpendicular to the magazine 17 and projects into the magazine via a recess 22 in the leg 15 and a recess 23 in the wall of the magazine 17.
  • the clamps 18 are held against the feed direction in front of the firing channel 11, so that the driving plunger 12 can carry out any number of blows without a clamp 18 being driven out.
  • the slide 19 In the rest position, not shown here, the slide 19 is pushed further forward, so that the section of the cam 21 running perpendicular to the magazine 17 is located within a recess 24 in the web 14. As a result, the cam 21 is also outside the driving channel, and the driving device can be operated in a conventional manner.
  • FIG. 3 A possible embodiment of the slide 19 is shown in Figures 3 to 6. It can be seen that, in addition to the cam 21, two strips 25, 26 are formed laterally at the level of the cam 21, which engage behind the opening in the leg 15, which is not shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, in order to achieve a slider and slide action. On the side opposite the cam 21, an extension 27 is also formed with a small nose 28, the direction of which is opposite to that of the vertical leg of the cam 21. The cam 28 is used for latching purposes in order to hold the slide 19 in the position shown in FIG. 2 and to enable the driving tool to be used as an impact device.
  • the slide shown in FIGS. 3 to 6 is formed in one piece from plastic, the actuating section 20 being hollow, as can be seen from FIG. 5.
