Definitions

  • the invention relates to a clip magazine for a manually or motor-driven clip device, which has a receiving channel for clips fastened to the housing of the clip device, into which a slide part can be inserted into the rear end facing away from the outlet end, which slide part can be displaced against spring pressure, in engagement with which has the most distant clamp that can be brought from the outlet end of the receiving channel and can be locked in the region of the rear end of the receiving channel.
  • Such staple magazines are known in a wide variety of forms for staplers and staplers.
  • its slide part is pulled out of the receiving channel for filling and then the clips are inserted from behind into the receiving channel, whereupon the slide part is reinserted.
  • staple magazines of this type are also to be suitable for staples of different dimensions, there is often the difficulty in guiding the staples in a precisely defined position and conveying them into the staple reject channel.
  • a spring device in order to obtain a defined position (DE-OS 15 03 046).
  • the spring device used cannot be easily removed in this known construction, so that clips located in the area of the spring device can only be removed from the clip magazine with great difficulty.
  • a clip magazine of the type mentioned is designed in accordance with the invention in such a way that the receiving channel is U-shaped and is attached to the device with its open side downward in such a way that the slide part has a cover part which has the largest part of its longitudinal extent in cross section U. -shaped with inwardly curved free leg ends and which in the inserted state covers the open side of the receiving channel with its base and is in engagement with the curved free leg ends with the outer surface of the base of the receiving channel, and that in the cover part between its base and its curved Leg ends a leaf spring located at a distance from the leg ends and held at the rear and front ends of the cover part and arching in the direction of the leg ends is provided.
  • the clip magazine according to the invention thus consists of only two parts, namely the receiving channel attached to the clip device and the slide part that can be inserted into it. Since the receiving channel is U-shaped and is attached to the device with its open side facing downwards, the entire space of the receiving channel is free for inserting clips when the slide part is missing. They no longer have to be pushed into the receiving channel from behind, as in the case of known clip magazines.
  • the inserted clamps are pressed on the one hand by the spring-loaded slide in the direction of the clamp committee channel and on the other hand pressed by the leaf spring upwards against the inner surface of the base of the U-shaped receiving channel, so that the U-shaped clamps, regardless of their Material thickness and regardless of the length of your legs always have a precisely defined position.
  • the staple magazine consists of only two parts, of which only the receiving channel is fastened to the stapler
  • the staple magazine according to the invention can also be replaced very simply by loosening the receiving channel from the stapler by another staple magazine for completely differently shaped staples.
  • the slide can be guided on the leaf spring, so that it takes on a double function.
  • a guide rod for the slide and for guiding its spring can be arranged between the leaf spring and the base of the cover part.
  • a particularly expedient structure is obtained when the front end of the cover part forms a boundary wall of the staple reject channel.
  • the chamber reject channel is also accessible, and since one of its boundary walls is removed, staples which have become lodged in the staple reject channel can be removed very easily and without special tools.
  • the transition from the inner surface of the base of the receiving channel to the adjacent boundary wall of the The staple reject channel should be rectangular at least in the central area.
  • the clip magazine according to the invention is suitable for the most varied types of clip devices. Its use in electrically driven, so-called tackers is particularly advantageous.
  • the tacker shown in Figure 1 has a housing made of two half-shells, of which the half-shell 16 can be seen, while the other half-shell is partially cut away.
  • This half-shell, together with the half-shell 16, forms a grip area 21, into which an electrical connecting cable 25 extends and to which a switch actuating lever 22 is articulated.
  • a clip magazine to be described as well as the rotary knob 26 of a potentiometer which is connected to electronics provided in the housing for setting the driving energy.
  • the connecting cable 25 is connected via a switch, not shown, to a solenoid 1 which has an inner shell 7 with a concentric opening.
  • the solenoid 1 is fastened on a support wall 9 which is formed by the half-shells of the housing and has a central opening which extends coaxially to the central opening of the shell 7.
  • Extending through the central opening of the shell 7 is a guide rod 3, which is attached to the tacking housing at the upper end so as to be displaceable to a limited extent in the axial direction and at the lower end of which a stop is attached, which consists of a support ring 10 and a rubber cushion 11.
  • an axially movable, cylindrical armature 2 made of ferromagnetic material, which has an outwardly directed annular shoulder at its upper end, with the lower surface of which it is supported on a cantilever arm 4 surrounding the armature 2.
  • the armature 2 is held in the position shown, in which the upper surface of the armature 20 rests on a rubber washer, by a spring 6 which abuts the shell 7 at one end and the lower end of the cantilever arm 4.
  • the driver 5 is fastened to the cantilever arm 4.
  • the clamps 50 to be driven are located in a clamp magazine which consists of two parts.
  • One part is the receiving channel 30, which is U-shaped in cross section and is attached to the housing of the tacker by means of lugs 31, 32 and 33, 34.
  • the receiving channel 30 At the front end, which is on the left in FIGS. 2 and 4, the receiving channel 30 with its vertically extending walls 35 and 36 forms the upper part of the clip reject channel 37, into which the front clip of the clips 50 present in the clip magazine is pressed out of the receiving channel.
  • a tab 36 ' is bent downward from an elongated opening in the base of the U-shaped receiving channel 30, so that in this area the transition from the surface lying at the bottom in FIG. 4, that is to say the inner surface of the base is perpendicular to the adjacent boundary surface of the staple reject channel 37 formed by the wall 36.
  • the other part of the clip magazine is a slide part which has a cover part 40.
  • This cover part has a substantially U-shaped cross section, but its free leg ends 40 'are curved inwards.
  • a vertical wall 48 At the front end of the cover part 40 there is a vertical wall 48 which, in the inserted state of the slide part together with the wall 35 of the receiving channel 30, forms boundary surfaces for the lower part of the staple reject channel 37.
  • a leaf spring 44 is fastened in the cover part 40, which is bent at the rear end and fastened in a plastic part 45 to be described and which has a downwardly bent central region 44 'at the front end, which engages behind projections provided on the transverse wall 49 of the cover part 40. As a result, the leaf spring 44 is held at its ends and can bend upwards between these ends (FIGS. 2 and 3).
  • a guide rod 41 is fastened in the U-shaped cover part 40, on which a helical spring 42 is arranged, which is supported at the rear end on the plastic part 45 and whose front end is in engagement with a surface of the slide 43.
  • the slide sits with a transverse surface 43 '(FIG. 3) on the guide rod 41 and engages with its outer slide walls the leaf spring 44 (FIG. 3), so that it is displaceably guided in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the guide rod 41.
  • a plastic part 45 is fastened, which serves to hold the guide rod 41 and the leaf spring 44 already mentioned and on which an elastically pivotable arm 46 is formed, on the top of which there are two locking lugs 47.
  • the cover part 40 engages around the receiving channel 30, so that the base of the cover part 40 closes the lower open side of the receiving channel 30, while the bent free leg ends 40 'of the cover part 40 are in engagement with the outer surface of the base of the receiving channel 30 ( Figure 3).
  • the slide part is engaged by one of the locking lugs 47, each not shown Locking opening held on the receiving channel 30.
  • Clips 50 present in the clip magazine rest with the inner surface of their base on the leaf spring 44 and are therefore pressed upwards against the base of the receiving channel 30.
  • the slide 4 exerts a displacement pressure in the direction of the clip reject channel 37.
  • the slide 43 in FIG. 2 is shown in a left-hand, solid position and additionally again in a right, dash-dotted position and that the position of the slide according to FIG. 3 corresponds to the dash-dotted position of the slide from FIG. 2.
  • the arm 46 is pressed down so that the locking lugs 47 emerge from the locking openings.
  • the cover part 40 can be pulled back from the receiving channel 30 (to the left in FIG. 1, to the right in FIGS. 2 and 4), the wall 48 of the staple reject channel 37 also being removed. Since the slider is moved by the spring 42 into its left end position in FIG. 2, when the staple supply is used up, in which it rests against a stop of the slider part, not shown, no spring force acts on the slider part when it is unlocked, i. H. the slide member does not jump out of the receiving channel a bit when unlocking, as in known clip magazines, but can be pulled out of the receiving channel 30 without surprising displacement for the user.
  • the slide part is removed from the receiving channel 30, it is completely exposed, and the lower section of the staple reject channel 37 is freely accessible due to the lack of the wall 48. In this position, clamps which may be jammed in the clamp reject channel can be removed in a simple manner, and new clips 50 can be inserted into the receiving channel 30 from the open side thereof.
  • the slide part is then reinserted from the rear end of the receiving channel 30, the slide coming into contact with the rear bracket and being displaced against spring pressure when the slide part is further inserted, as is indicated in FIG. 4.
  • the slide part is inserted into the receiving channel 30 until the locking lugs 47 come back into engagement with the locking opening of the receiving channel 30.
