Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cross connector with a cross bar and on the underside thereof protruding tabs for terminal blocks with perforated busbars for receiving the tabs.
  • the busbars extending in the row depth of the terminal block each have two plug openings oriented in row depth.
  • the cross connectors are U-shaped plug-in elements.
  • a corresponding cross connector element In order to create the desired cross connections for distributing the current from one to the affected further terminal blocks within the arrangement, a corresponding cross connector element must always be inserted in this arrangement in a seamless sequence from terminal block to terminal block.
  • Many cross connector plug-in elements have to be kept in stock and the assembly effort is very high. The disadvantage is that one is very bound here in the arbitrariness of the establishment of cross connections in a series of terminal blocks, because in this embodiment it is not possible to omit even one cross connector plug element in a succession of these elements.
  • a plurality of spacing or connecting elements are arranged on a cross bar, which extend as far as the busbars of the terminal blocks, sometimes also via predetermined breaking points.
  • the end area reaching to the busbars carries a connecting screw which is to be screwed into a threaded hole in the busbar (DE-OS-2 357 052, DE-OS-2 914 192).
  • the production of such cross connectors is relatively expensive.
  • the need for a threaded hole in the conductor rail is also more expensive. It takes a relatively long time to assemble the screw connections.
  • a contact plate with a plurality of contacts in which the contact field consists of a plurality of flat contacts, rows of such flat contacts being connected at their upper ends to a common current-conducting rail.
  • the flat contacts are rotated with their flat plane transverse to the longitudinal profile of the upper rail, for which purpose they are partially notched in their transition region to the rail such that they are conductively connected to the rail with only half of their total cross section.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a cross connector of the generic type, which makes it possible to quickly and easily make any desired cross connections quickly and easily in a row of terminal blocks, and this to ensure sufficient with a simple construction. Power transmission cross-sections even in the tightest of spaces.
  • the cross connector according to the invention is a very easy to manufacture stamped part in terms of its structure. After punching, only the tabs located on the crossbar are rotated in their transition area to the crossbar, so that they maintain their full transmission cross-section here and they are then oriented with their flat plane in the row depth of the terminal block arrangement and thus in the direction of the busbar. You can therefore have a relatively large current transmission cross-section in the basic arrangement.
  • the busbars can be provided with a simple slot. With all the simplicity of construction and assembly, this configuration also means that the desired relatively large transmission cross sections can be made available for the tabs for quite considerable currents.
  • Further preferred configurations relate to the resilient slitting of the flat plugs, expediently also in connection with insertion bevels and with locking knobs so that they can be easily inserted into the busbars, but can also be held relatively securely here, and the design of the electrical contact protection for such a cross connector.
  • the drawing shows a cross connector according to the invention in a perspective view with illustration of adjacent or interacting terminal block parts.
  • the cross connector is designed as a one-piece stamped part and has a long, metallically conductive cross bar 1 extending across a terminal block arrangement, from which a plurality of tabs 2 protrude downward in the manner of a comb.
  • the tabs 2 are rotated by 90 ° to the cross bar 1 such that their flat plane is perpendicular to the longitudinal plane of the cross bar 1.
  • the cross connector is intended to interact with a series of terminal blocks, the busbars of which are transverse to the direction of the row arrangement, i. H. in a row depth, parallel to the partition walls of the individual terminal blocks made of insulating material.
  • the busbars 3 of the terminal blocks one of which is indicated in the drawing, have oriented plug openings 4 in their longitudinal extension, into which the flat plug 2 can then be inserted as a result of the 90 ° rotation of the flat plug 2 in relation to the transverse bar 1, since their Flat level is now in the row depth. In this way, relatively large current transmission cross sections can be realized for the flat plug 2.
  • the spacing of the tabs 2 from one another is chosen such that it corresponds to the spacing of the holes 4 in the busbars 3 of a terminal block arrangement.
  • the length of the tab 2 is selected so that on the one hand they can be securely inserted into the busbars and on the other hand the corresponding insulating material partition 5 (indicated in the drawing) of a terminal block can be accommodated in the upper space between two tabs 2.
  • any number of terminal blocks can be connected to the cross connection corresponding to the cross connector used.
  • the corresponding tabs 2 are broken off from the cross bar 1, which can be facilitated by a predetermined breaking edge 6, which runs across the tab 2, parallel to the longitudinal extent of the cross bar 1 .
  • predetermined breaking edges 7 are provided which extend across the crossbar 1 as an extension of the attachment points of the flat plug 2 and which make it easier to break off cross connectors of the desired number of poles in a simple manner from a long cross connector piece.
  • the tabs 2 of the cross connector are also provided, starting from their lower end, over a considerable part of their longitudinal extent with longitudinal slots 8, so that they have a spring action in their insertion areas.
  • This together with the bevels 9 provided at their lower ends, makes it easier to insert them into the elongated holes 4 of the busbars 3.
  • the spring action also contributes to this, in conjunction with small locking knobs 10 provided in the insertion area on the narrow edges of the flat plugs 2 Hold the flat connector 2 and thus the cross connector as a whole securely in the busbars 3 after insertion.
  • the locking knobs 10 are at such a high position on the tabs 2 that they snap under the busbars 3 after being plugged in.
  • the cross connector is also provided with a protection against accidental contact in the form of a protective sleeve 11 made of insulating material, in order to be able to handle it safely, which is particularly important in this case, since even under the very first contact of the flat connector 2 with the busbar 3 a terminal block may be present Electricity can flow.
