Definitions
- the present invention relates to a drafting system for a spinning machine with a forward and a main drafting zone, with an inlet roller pair comprising an upper and a lower roller, with an outlet roller pair comprising an upper and a lower roller and with an upper and a driven by an apron roller pair a lower apron, wherein the pre-draft zone extends between the pair of infeed rollers and the nip line formed by the apron rollers pressed against the top and bottom apron rollers, and the main draft zone extends between this nip line and the pair of outlet rollers, and wherein the bottom apron extends under the draft zone and the lower infeed roller .
- the invention is particularly concerned with the cleaning of such drafting systems.
- a cleaning device is already known from DE-A-2 217 314, in which a cleaning and stopping effect takes place by means of cleaning straps provided specifically for cleaning, by friction and movement thereof on the faster rotating rollers and the top straps.
- DE-C-908 590 also discloses an apron drafting system in which the lower apron extends to below the pair of inlet cylinders. There is no contact of the lower apron with the lower of these cylinders.
- cleaning of the lower apron and the lower inlet cylinder is to be obtained. It is characterized in that in the operation of the drafting system one strand of the lower apron is in grazing contact with this lower inlet roller, and that the other strand of the lower apron sags loosely.
- the lower inlet cylinder and the lower apron are cleaned by wiping off their surfaces, it not being necessary to provide any cleaning means.
- the drafting system is therefore extremely simple. Continuous cleaning of the roller significantly reduces the risk of winding formation. Adhesion of fibers is prevented at an early stage. Because the top and bottom straps are used to guide the fibers during the drafting process in the main drafting zone, and because the straps are guided over deflection points during operation, it is inherently necessary to produce the straps from a material that is resistant to friction. Insofar as there is only slight contact of the lower apron with the lower infeed roller, the service life of the apron is practically hardly changed by the cleaning arrangement.
- a surprising result is a significant simplification of threading, because the beginning of the sliver, which is moved through by the pair of inlet rollers, no longer has to be guided by hand to the point of entry of the clamping area formed by the straps.
- the fuse comes to rest on the lower strap by itself, is thus carried along by it and reaches the area of mutual contact of the moving straps in order to be transported further. Since the fibers produced during cleaning come to rest on the lower apron, there is a further advantage of the invention in that the stripped fibers are reinserted into the sliver to be drawn in the main drafting zone, i. H. there is a recycling of the fibers resulting from the cleaning.
- the invention will now be explained in more detail using exemplary embodiments and the figure of the drawing.
- the latter shows a pair of inlet rollers formed by an upper and a lower inlet roller 11 and 12, respectively, through which the sliver 13 and the incoming roving entering through the condenser 28 are detected on the inlet side of the drafting system and transported from right to left as shown in the figure.
- an upper and lower apron roller 14 and 15 forming a pair of rollers are provided.
- This pair of rollers is used to drive the upper apron 16 and the lower apron 17.
- the apron 16 is guided around a deflection point 18.
- a bridge 19 and a deflection rail 20 are provided for guiding the apron 17.
- Following the two straps 16, 17 there is a pair of outlet rollers formed by an upper and a lower outlet roller 23 and 24, respectively.
- An apron guide 21 is attached to a bearing saddle 22.
- the latter is primarily used to support the apron lower roller 15. It can be adjusted in the direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the roller 15. This setting is used to remove the entry point for the sliver fibers formed by the converging straps 16, 17 from the outlet rollers 23, 24, i. H. to adjust the length of the main draft zone of the different types of such fibers.
- the bearing saddle 22 and the further bearing saddle 25 for the inlet roller 12 are carried by a carrier 26.
- the location of maximum pressure formed by the rollers 14 and 15 pressed against each other is located between the straps 16, 17 along a line parallel to the axes of rotation of the rollers 14, 15, the so-called clamping line 27.
- the area between the inlet roller pair 11, 12 and the clamping line 27 is the default zone.
- the area between the clamping line 27 and the outlet roller pair 23, 24 is the main draft zone.
- the rollers 11, 12, 14, 15 and 23, 24 rotate in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrows.
- the peripheral speed of the inlet rollers 11, 12 and Strap rollers 14, 15 are relatively small, and that of the feed rollers 11, 12 is still somewhat smaller than that of the strap rollers 14, 15 and thus also the speed of the straps 16, 17.
- the peripheral speed of the rollers 23, 24 is, however, much greater than that of the rollers 14, 15, so that the actual warping of the fuse takes place in the main drafting region.
- the rollers 11, 12 and 14, 15 and the deflection rail 20 are arranged in such a way that the lower apron 17 is in contact with the lower infeed roller 12 during operation of the drafting system, i. H. grazes on the roller 12. It can be seen that at the point of contact the surface of the roller 12 and the strap 17 move in opposite directions. Fibers adhering to the roller 12 are stripped from the straps 17 and remain on the latter, i. H. they are taken away by it. They then return to the fiber sliver 12, with which they are mixed during their further processing.
- a second embodiment of the invention is shown in the figure. According to this, a corresponding mutual arrangement of the bridge 19 and the outlet roller 24 additionally contacts the lower apron 17 with the lower outlet roller 24. In this case too, the surface of the roller 24 moves in the opposite direction to the movement of the apron 17. In this way, cleaning of the lower outlet roller 24 is also achieved.
- the downwardly extending part of the bridge 19 is provided with a corresponding extension 29, as is indicated by dashed lines.
- the desired strength of the contact with the roller 24 can be chosen as desired.
- an apron guide 21 is provided for guiding the apron 17 laterally.
- the use of a loose strap 17 causes less friction and thus an increase in the life of the same.
- the strap guide 21 prevents the loose strap from migrating and thus ensures that the drafting system functions properly.
- a very precise guidance for the straps 17 is obtained if the guidance is as close as possible to the entry point to the clamping area of the straps 16, 17.
- Darpit is a further advantageous embodiment of the invention when there is a loose bottom strap 17 in that the strap guide 21 is attached to the bearing saddle 22.
- the guide 21 is also moved during the horizontal adjustment of the rollers 14, 15 to different types of fibers, in particular fiber lengths, by displacing the bearing plate 22. A once optimal distance of the roller 14, 15 from the apron guide 21 is thus always maintained when adapting to different types of fibers.
