Definitions
- the invention relates to an electric hotplate with a hotplate body having a substantially mariossene cooking surface that an electric heater is heated from at least the cooking p lath body sintered from metallic material.
- German patent applications P 30 33 828.4 and P 30 49 521 it has already been proposed to use a plate-shaped hotplate body which has tubular heating elements with a triangular cross-section pressed on the underside instead of the heating coil inserted in grooves.
- the hotplate body is very easy to manufacture, but it is necessary to subsequently install the tubular heating element and to provide it with insulation which presses it onto the underside of the hotplate body.
- the object of the invention is to further develop the main patent T i the sense of ease of manufacture.
- the possibility of producing the hotplate with a relatively low material thickness contributes to a shortening of the heating-up time and to a low energy consumption when it comes to short-term heating processes.
- a hotplate made of sintered material also has advantages in production because the sintered material can be produced with the final surface and there is no need for machining.
- the sintered material can preferably have different material compositions in a horizontal layering. For reasons of strength and / or thermal reasons, a different material composition can be used at the top or bottom or outside or inside.
- the sintered material can be provided with other metal additives on the basis of iron powder, so that the desired properties, for example corrosion resistance, can be achieved. It is therefore also possible to obtain surface protection by arranging them in different layers with low consumption of high-quality alloy components.
- spiral grooves and ribs can be so narrow because of the precision of the sintering and the plate can be so thin that its mass and heat capacity are considerable is reduced.
- Converted, slightly wavy wires or tapes as well as strands can be used as radiators, which can absorb slight differences in elongation.
- a particularly dense and mechanically strong sintered material is created when pressed under vacuum.
- the hotplate body 12m is made of sintered material.
- the hotplate body 12m consists of sintered material, the material of which contains iron powder as a base and which can contain various powdery additives of different metals, such as copper, chromium, nickel, aluminum, manganese, etc.
- the upper flat cooking surface 13 is set back somewhat in the central zone 14a and ends on the outer circumference in an outwardly directed flange 36m, in the area of which there is an annular rim 19m which stands down and on the outer surface of which an installation ring (not shown) cannot be pressed.
- the heating of the hotplate is in the form of heating resistors 17m accommodated in spirally arranged grooves 40.
- the grooves 40 are located on the underside of the hotplate body and are separated from one another by ribs 41 of the hotplate body 12m.
- the depth and width of the grooves is very small and is less than 5 mm, preferably 3.5 mm.
- the ribs can have a thickness of only 0.8 to 1 mm, so that a clear groove width of about 2.5 mm remains.
- the heating resistors 17m are inserted into these in the form of slightly corrugated solid wires, which are therefore not used in the usual spiral shape.
- the slight curl of the wires serves to allow the wire to adapt to any differences in elongation compared to the hotplate body. It can be made, for example, by first winding the wire in a helix shape and then not completely pulling it straight again.
- the heating resistors from strands which consist, for example, of 3 to 5 individual wires, which are twisted or stranded with one another with a relatively small twist.
- the heating resistors as shown in FIG. 2, from a band 17m which is also slightly corrugated and is arranged vertically in the groove 40.
- the heating resistors 17n, n are embedded in the grooves in an investment material 42, which consists of an electrically insulating powdery bulk material, which is used in the manufacture position is thickened by pressing. Due to the small width or division of the grooves, it is possible to lay the heating resistor (s) in a large number of spiral turns. If, for example, three electrically differently switchable heating resistors are used, such as those required for a 7-stroke switchable hotplate, these three heating resistors can be put around a total of five times in parallel spiral grooves, resulting in a total of fifteen parallel grooves in an arrangement corresponding to one three-course spiral leads.
- the hotplate has considerable advantages. They consist in an improvement in efficiency compared to conventional hotplates and in simple manufacture, largely without machining.
- the very narrow design of the grooves and ribs is possible due to the production in the sintering process. It is first of all This method ensures that the grooves are free of any unwanted protrusions and that they have a precisely defined surface structure, so that the distance between the heating resistors and the walls of the grooves can also be exactly maintained. Sintering also has other advantages.
- the rib height can thus also be reduced to almost half, ie preferably also 3.5 mm, and the plate thickness, ie the distance between the cooking surface 13 and the groove base, can be reduced to approximately 2.5 mm. This also reduces the height of the ring rim 19m and thus the entire hotplate to less than 15 mm. In the end, a hotplate can be produced that has only half the mass of a conventional hotplate.
- the slight corrugation of the heating resistors makes it possible to insert a largely uncoiled wire or ribbon into very narrow grooves in all types of hot plates of various materials and different manufacturing methods, without the risk that they tear or come into contact with the hot plate body if there are differences in thermal expansion.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 2 ein Detail einer Variante.
