Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical contact terminal with a terminal contact element, which has a contact recess for receiving a first connection conductor, and with a slidably mounted with respect to the terminal contact element and in the direction against the receiving position of the connection conductor under spring tension and against this spring tension in an open position convertible pressing element.
- contact terminals are also referred to as "pole terminals" and are widely used for the construction of experimental, but also of permanently installed, or measuring circuits, in the low and medium voltage range.
- Contact or pole terminals of the aforementioned type are easy and convenient to use, because after the pressing part has been raised, the connecting conductor can only be inserted into the contact recess, generally a transverse bore of a contact pin or the like, whereupon the locking and contacting occurs simply by releasing the pressing element .
- the problem with these contact terminals is securing the user against contact with live conductors, especially when the pressing element is raised, because in the usual versions, the contact recess and adjacent areas of the contact element are exposed in this state.
- contact or pole terminals with an additional socket part for connecting individual plugs are known.
- the terminal part there does not have a displaceable pressure element which is under spring pressure, but rather a union nut which can be moved by hand between an open position and a pressure position and whose outer bore is designed as a socket contact element.
- the object of the invention is to provide a contact terminal which is characterized by convenient handling with flawless protection against accidental contact and has a socket part included in this contact protection for the connection of a second conductor.
- the inventive solution to this problem is determined in a contact terminal of the type mentioned by the characterizing features of claim l.
- the pressing element has a first insulating sleeve which surrounds the socket contact element in the axial direction of the socket up to at least the height of the socket opening.
- the contact clamp according to the invention is particularly advantageously designed such that a cylindrical receiving space for a plug insulating element is formed between the inner surface of the first insulating sleeve and the outer surface of the socket contact element.
- a plug-insulating element can surround the conductive plug pin, ie the second connecting conductor, cylindrically at a distance in a conventional manner. This results in a labyrinth-like nesting of the interlocking insulating sleeves and socket elements with comparatively large electrical creepage distances and excellent contact protection when the plug is inserted. This can be further improved by the fact that on the outer surface of the socket contact element an insulating cover is attached.
- the illustrated contact terminal comprises a terminal part KT and a socket part BT.
- the clamping contact element KK is formed pin-shaped and provided with a transverse bore as Griffinausneh- m un g AK for receiving a not shown first connection conductor. With an inner bolt section, the terminal contact element KK passes through an insulating base element SE, which is inserted into a bore in a housing plate PL and held on the inside of the housing by means of an insulating washer S and a screw connection V.
- the socket part BT is formed by a socket contact element BK which is connected in one piece to the terminal part and has a contact recess AB for receiving a second connecting conductor, not shown.
- the contact element BK consists of an inner, thin-walled, cylindrical guide body LK with an outer insulating cover ID. The latter is extended outwards in the axial direction of the bush beyond the end of the guide body and forms an insulating opening section O A , so that a safety distance with a corresponding creepage distance is formed between the conductive component of the socket part and the socket opening.
- a contact element AP made of insulating material is axially displaceably mounted on the outside of the assembly which is formed overall by pins and is formed by the terminal contact element KK and the socket contact element BK.
- this pressing element is biased outwards in the axial direction by a pressing spring AF against an annular extension A of the contact element BK, the terminal contact recess AK being offset against a corresponding contact opening KO of the pressing element .AP.
- the pressing part is pressed downward in the axial direction against the pressing spring AF until the contact recess AK is aligned with the contact opening KO.
- the connecting conductor is clamped between the contact element KK and the wall of the pressing part AP, so that reliable contacting is ensured.
- the contact opening KO is provided with an inner reinforcing flange F, which transfers the contact pressure to the connecting conductor.
- the outer surface of the pressing part AP is provided with a ring groove surface structure GR.
- the overall one-piece pressing element AP has at its outer end section a first insulating sleeve IHa, which engages around the socket contact element BK in the axial direction up to the height of the socket opening, in the rest position of the pressing element shown. This results in the desired shielding of the internal conductor components of the terminal against contact.
- the comparatively large axial extension of the insulating sleeve IHa results in considerable creepage distances, so that there is a high level of safety even in a humid atmosphere.
- a cylindrical receiving space AR is formed for a plug insulating element, for example an insulating sleeve which is conventional per se and surrounds the plug pin with a radial spacing.
- a plug insulating element for example an insulating sleeve which is conventional per se and surrounds the plug pin with a radial spacing.
- The. inner end portion of the pressing element AP forms a second insulating sleeve IHb, which surrounds the pressing spring AF and the outer part of the base element SE.
- the telescopic overlap is dimensioned such that reliable shielding against contact by the user in the maximum after externally shifted position of the pressing element AP is guaranteed.
- a third insulating sleeve IHc is formed on the base element SE, which in turn encompasses the inner guide components of the clamping part KT.
- the one-piece design of the base element with its insulating sleeve also results in a construction part that can be produced with little effort. Overall, the manufacturing effort in a construction of the present type can be kept low despite the significantly improved touch shield.

Abstract
