Definitions

  • the invention relates to a nozzle arrangement for a weaving machine, with a guide channel for thread-like material and a channel opening at an acute angle into the material guide channel for introducing a fluid jet.
  • a nozzle arrangement for a weaving machine with a guide channel for thread-like material and a channel opening at an acute angle into the material guide channel for introducing a fluid jet.
  • the weft thread of a weaving machine is assumed as the thread-like material, and air, for example, is assumed as the fluid.
  • CH-PS 462 061 open into the thread guide channel at an acute angle two air inlet channels which can be alternately connected to a compressed air supply line via a control slide.
  • One air inlet duct is arranged in the direction of conveying the thread in the thread guide duct, the other in the opposite direction.
  • the arrangement can thereby be used as a brake nozzle for a thread and on the other hand, for. B. in the event of thread breakage, after switching the air inlet channels for threading the thread into the thread guide channel.
  • This known arrangement can only be connected to a single air supply line. If the nozzle assembly during weaving as a brake nozzle and z. B. after thread break for threading, this single air supply line must be fed directly from the compressed air network of the loom. This is necessary so that even after the weaving machine has come to a standstill and the machine main valve has been closed, air is available for threading the broken weft thread into the brake nozzle. As a result, air losses are unavoidable in the known arrangement when a weaving machine is at a standstill.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a nozzle arrangement which is particularly improved in this regard.
  • the invention is that the inlet channel for the fluid jet, for. B. for an air jet, is contained in a rotating body of the arrangement through which the inlet channel is pivotable, such that the introduced fluid jet flows alternately in the conveying direction of the thread-like material or in the opposite direction.
  • the design is particularly simple due to the pivotable arrangement of the inlet channel in a rotating body. It can usually get by with a single seal on the rotating body. It is also achieved that the mouth of the introduced air always takes place approximately at the same point in the thread guide channel. In contrast, the mouths of the two stationary, optionally switchable inlet ducts in the known nozzle arrangement mentioned are a relatively large distance apart, so that the entire nozzle arrangement takes up a correspondingly larger amount of space and is relatively expensive.
  • two further air inlets are present on the rotating body and can be connected alternately.
  • the compressed air source can be connected directly to one air inlet and the main valve of an associated weaving machine to the other.
  • the required brake air can be removed after the main valve of the loom, while the z. B. at standstill due to weft breakage required threading of the broken thread into the thread feed channel, which must be carried out in the direction of entry of the weft thread, can be removed directly from the compressed air network.
  • the weaving machine is at a standstill and the main weaving machine valve is closed, it can be avoided that air can flow out into the environment as a result of a direct connection of the nozzle arrangement to the compressed air network. Air losses can thus be avoided.
  • the entry nozzles are via an air supply line 3 to a compressed air source 4, for. B. connected to a compressed air network.
  • the line 3 contains a filter 5 and a main valve 6.
  • all air consumers, in particular the entry nozzles are fed via the line 3 around the opened valve 6.
  • the main valve 6 is automatically closed in order to avoid air losses.
  • a direct air supply line 7 containing a throttle element 42 is branched off at 32 and, after the main valve 6 at 31, a brake air supply line 28 containing a throttle element 48 is branched off and led to a nozzle arrangement, designated as a whole by 8, connected at 35 or 29 , which is arranged on the entry side of the weaving machine 1.
  • the arrangement 8 (FIG. 2) contains a nozzle body 11, in which a thread guide channel 12 for a weft thread 14 to be entered in the direction of arrow 13 and not shown in FIG. 1 is attached.
  • a control slide 16 which is rotatable about a vertical axis 15 is arranged with the interposition of a seal 11 and a leaf spring 18.
  • the control slide 16 contains an air supply duct, which consists of a vertical section 21, a horizontal section 22 and a central, vertical section 23. From section 23 is a at an acute angle of z. B. 10 "terminating air inlet duct 24.
  • the mode of action is as follows.
  • the nozzle arrangement 8 is in the braking position according to FIGS. 2-4.
  • the main valve 6 is open. Now air flows over the lines 3, 28 and the inlet channel 24 according to arrows 25, 41 in the opposite direction to the weft thread entry according to arrows 13.
  • the weft thread 14 is therefore subjected to a slight permanent braking effect or tension under the brake air introduced, causing it to come into contact with the system a thread metering drum 43 arranged on the entry side of the weaving machine can be held.
  • an annular shoulder section 37 which extends over 180 °, is recessed on the control slide 16 and cooperates with a fixed stop pin 38. It is achieved in this way that the nozzle arrangement 8 receives air from the line 3 via the branch point 31 during weaving operation, so that when the weft breaks and the loom 1 comes to a standstill the air supplied to the nozzle arrangement 8 is also used, which is used as brake air during weaving operation is (position according to Fig. 2 to 4), is also shut off immediately when the main valve 6 is closed.
  • the automatic line 28 which is switched on during weaving operation is dispensed with.
  • the nozzle 8 then contains only the pivotable inlet channel 24, to which air can be fed directly from the air source 4 via line 7.
  • the channel 12 can also, for. B. be angled at axis 15.
  • the plug 52 is omitted.
  • the hand lever 34 is clamped onto the control slide 16 from the outside, for example.
  • Line 7 is connected in Fig. 2, 3 above to the channel 23, so that the air to be supplied is introduced in this way.
  • Line 28 is omitted in this case.
  • the connecting channels 53, 54 in the nozzle body 11 are then also eliminated.
  • another fluid eg. B. water can be used, which can be particularly useful in water jet looms.
