Definitions
- the invention relates to a shut-off system for installation in the exhaust gas or air intake line of oil and gas fireplaces, comprising a flow-through housing with 2 openings of different sizes, housed in this flow-through housing, a shut-off system which can be pivoted between a shut-off position and an open position.
- This shut-off system differs from the previous shut-off flaps in that the shut-off system first opens from the shut-off position into the open position with an almost constant low air pressure, which is generated by the burner fan, up to a certain position. From this position, the more the locking system opens, the less air pressure is required. The pressure difference is replaced by the weight (7) via the lever (6), which is attached outside the housing (1). The locking system is swiveled from the open to the shut-off position by the burner down and the partial weight of the cover (2). The full closure causes the weight (7) via the lever (6).
- This invention of the shut-off system with the lever (6) and weight (7) has the advantage over the conventionally electrically controlled shut-off flaps or swing flaps that short energy consumption is required for a short time until a certain opening.
- the predominant energy consumption is replaced by the weight (7), which is not the case with the motorized butterfly valves. There, full energy consumption is required over the entire runtime of the burner fan.
