Definitions

  • the invention relates to a feeder device for sheet metal working machines, consisting of two conveying devices having mutually perpendicular conveying directions, one of which forms free spaces for the passage of lifting and lowering supports of the other advancing and retracting conveying device.
  • the feed devices In order to enable the sheets to be aligned both with respect to their longitudinal and transverse axes, the feed devices generally have two roller tables with two mutually perpendicular conveying directions, one of the roller tables being mounted so that it can be raised and lowered. This means that one of the two roller tables can be used as required, so that the sheet to be processed can be moved lengthways and crossways.
  • a prerequisite for the correct alignment of these known feeder devices is, however, that the metal sheets do not reach the feeder device at an angle, since it is not possible to rotate the metal sheets around a sheet-normal axis with the aid of the feeder device.
  • a minimum size for the conveyable sheets is determined by the distance between the rollers of a roller table, so that the known feeder devices of this type cannot meet all requirements.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of improving a feeder device for sheet metal working machines of the type described at the outset so that the sheets to be processed can be handled in a simple manner without being restricted to a minimum size.
  • inclined positions should also be corrected and also inclined positions of the sheets can be brought about consciously.
  • the invention solves this problem in that the one conveyor consists of a forward and backward movable conveyor table with passage openings for the raised and lowered supports, which can be moved back and forth across the conveyor table.
  • the sheet to be conveyed is placed on the conveying table and moved with it by a predetermined distance. Then the sheet metal is lifted off the conveyor table with the supports reaching through the passage openings of the conveyor table, so that the conveyor table can be moved back around the conveyor path and can be moved forward again after the supports have been lowered.
  • the sheet to be machined is therefore conveyed step by step, alternately lying on the conveyor table and the supports. Since there is no sliding movement between the sheet metal on the one hand and the conveyor table and the supports on the other hand during this movement sequence, the sheet can also be conveyed very gently and precisely.
  • the conveying table For conveying sheet metal in the other conveying direction, the conveying table is used as a stationary rest, while the supports carry out the conveying movement after being lifted over the conveying table and are returned in the lowered state. Since the conveying movements of the conveying table and supports can be carried out while the other conveying device is being put back, the sheet metal can be conveyed diagonally to a certain extent, the conveying direction depending on the respective size of the conveying steps of the two conveying devices.
  • the conveyor table can be pivoted in a further embodiment of the invention on the side facing away from the sheet metal processing machine about a transverse to its conveying direction, table-parallel axis, so that the sheet by swiveling the conveyor table can be placed on the table of the sheet metal working machine without hindrance. It is advantageous if the conveyor table is not itself pivotally mounted, but is guided on pivoting roller beams. As a result of this measure, a swivel bearing which can be moved along with the conveyor table is unnecessary.
  • the conveyor table can be driven in different ways, particularly simple, controllable conditions result from cylinders which can be acted on from both sides as a displacement drive.
  • Such cylinders can also be used to pivot the conveyor table about a table-normal axis, namely when the cylinders are articulated on axes oriented perpendicular to the conveyor table and can each be acted upon by themselves. If, according to this measure, only one of, for example, two cylinders is loaded, the conveyor table is pivoted in accordance with the direction in which this cylinder is loaded. However, it is necessary to fix the table transversely to its direction of movement in order to avoid uncontrolled movements of the conveyor table. For this purpose, the conveyor table is guided over a pin which engages in a straight guide.
  • At least one support can be raised and lowered independently of the other supports. With these raised supports, when the other supports are lowered, the sheet is supported both on the raised supports and on the conveyor table, which likewise causes the sheet to pivot when the conveyor table or supports move. This pivoting is associated with sliding friction between the sheet and its support points.
  • the conveyor table can be guided in a straight line.
  • the supports can be stored in a carriage or carriage and can be raised and lowered by actuating cylinders.
  • a feed device which essentially consists of a conveyor table 4 with through openings 5 for there can be raised and lowered supports 6, wherein the supports 6 mounted in a carriage 7 can be moved perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the conveyor table 4.
  • the conveyor table 4 is supported on roller beams 8 which are directed transversely to the guide track 1 for the tool slides and are pivotably supported on supports 9 at their end remote from the guide track 1.
  • a cylinder 10 engages, with the aid of which the roller beams 8 can be pivoted, so that the conveyor table 4 guided on the rollers 11 of the roller beam 8 can safely feed the sheet metal 3 over the table 12 to the processing machine and deposit it there for clamping.
  • two cylinders 13 are provided for pushing the feed table 4 back and forth, which are articulated on axes 14 directed perpendicular to the feed table.
  • These axes 14 therefore also provide mobility transverse to the conveying direction of the conveying table 4, in order to enable the conveying table 4 to be pivoted by acting on only one of the two cylinders 13. For this purpose, however, it is necessary to provide an additional guide for the conveyor table 4 in order not to get uncontrolled conveyor table movements.
  • a pin 15 is provided on the underside of the conveyor table 4, which engages in a straight guide 16.
  • the conveyor table 4 is held transversely to its conveying direction during its pivoting against an unwanted displacement.
  • the straight guide 16 does not hinder the conveying movement of the conveying table 4, since it runs in the conveying direction.
  • actuating cylinders 17 are provided in the carriage 7, which can be moved back and forth via rollers 18 on rail pieces 19. Cylinders 20 which can be acted upon on both sides serve to drive the carriage 7.
  • the sheet metal 3 is now to be fed to the processing machine, it is placed on the conveyor table and moved with it by one conveying step against the guide track 1 of the processing machine. If the travel of the cylinders 13, which of course have to be acted upon in parallel for the linear movement of the conveyor table, is not sufficient, the actuating cylinders 17 for the supports 6 are extended, whereby the supports 6 are raised through the through openings 5 of the conveyor table 4 and the sheet metal 3 lift off the conveyor table 4. The conveyor table 4 can therefore be moved back under the sheet 3 to its initial position in order to repeat the conveying step after the support 6 has been lowered. The sheet 3 is thus fed to the processing machine step by step until it has reached the desired position on the table 12 of the processing machine.
  • the conveyor table 4 is not moved and only serves as a tray for the sheet metal moved by the supports 6, which is moved over the raised supports 6 by a corresponding method of the carriage 7 over the conveyor table 4. These conveying steps can be repeated as desired, since the supports 6 can be moved back to their starting position when the sheet is placed on the conveying table 4 below the sheet.
  • pivoting adjustment of the sheet 3 is to act on an actuating cylinder for a support 6a independently of the other actuating cylinders 7, so that the sheet 3 is only raised above the support 6a. If the conveyor table 4 is displaced with such a sheet metal support, the sheet metal 3 is also pivoted. This pivoting movement can also be repeated step by step, so that all possibilities are available for pivoting.
  • the conveying steps need only be repeated in reverse order, so that the feeder device is also suitable for sheet transport by simply reversing.
