Definitions
- the invention relates to a switching mechanism for circuit breakers, in which an operating knob acts on a spring-loaded contact lever via a latch lever.
- a switching mechanism is described in DE-A1-2651 158.
- This mechanism which has only relatively few components, is disadvantageous, however, because only an indirect impact anchor effect is possible via a switching arm pawl system and the opening movement by a forced guidance of the switching arm. Jack system is hindered.
- a switching mechanism is known from DE-A1-2336222, in which a spring-mounted contact lever interacts with a manual control knob via several hinged tabs.
- One of these tabs holds a pin that is longitudinally guided in a slot, which in turn can be hooked behind a rotatably mounted pawl and thereby latches the entire mechanism.
- the double-armed contact lever is guided with a slot on a fixed axis and can be swiveled around it.
- a spring engages the contact lever, which in the switched-on position tensions the entire mechanism and generates the contact pressure.
- This switching mechanism is disadvantageous in that a complex latching mechanism with several joints is required to achieve low release forces.
- the invention has for its object to improve the switching mechanism mentioned at the outset so that it requires the least possible unlatching forces with the least amount of components and achieves short switch-off times. It should also be designed so that a particularly small size is possible. According to the invention this is achieved in that the freely floating arranged in the contact closing direction under the action of a contact spring, in the closed position on the ratchet lever and on the fixed contact piece, the contact lever loosely interacts with a fixed axis in that the point of contact of the contact spring on the contact lever between this axis and the latching point lies and a separately pivoted trigger lever acts on the one hand on the latch lever and on the other hand can be influenced by the contact lever.
- 1-4 consists of a contact lever 1, which forms at one end a contact piece 2, which cooperates with a stationary contact piece 3. At the other end, the contact lever is provided with a latching pin 4 which interacts with a latch lever 5.
- the free end 5a of the latch lever 5 articulated on a manual control knob 6 is supported on the latching pin 4 of the contact lever 1 in the switched-on position of the switching mechanism.
- An angled extension 5b engages around the latching pin and can be influenced by a lever arm 7b of a release lever 7.
- the release lever which can be pivoted about a stationary axis 8, has a further lever arm 7a, on which the latching pin 4 can act.
- the contact lever 1 has a notch 13 in the middle between the contact piece 2 and the latching pin 4, which is located in the region of a fixed axis 14.
- a contact spring 16 supported on the housing 15 of the switch acts on the contact lever. The point of contact of the contact spring 16 on the contact lever lies between the latching pin 4 and the notch 13.
- the contact force is determined by the ratio of the lever arms which are formed by the point of application of the contact spring to the latching pin and by the contact contact point to the latching pin.
- the distance between the axis 14 and the bottom of the notch 13 is a measure of the burn-up reserve of the switch.
- the pawl lever 5 is clamped with the control knob 6, which can be pivoted about a fixed axis 6a, so that the contact lever is held in the switch-on position by the end 5a of the pawl lever 5 which is supported on the latching pin 4.
- the short-circuit or overcurrent switch-off is effected by the plunger 11 of the magnetic release device or by the bimetal strip 10.
- the plunger 11 and the bimetal strip 10 act in the direction of the arrows 11a and 10a on the slide 9 and move it in the direction of the arrow 9a, so that it strikes the lever arm 7c of the release lever 7 with an edge 9b and rotates it counterclockwise about the axis 8.
- the lever arm 7b strikes the angled extension 5b of the ratchet lever 5 and lifts it so far that the end 5a of the latching pin 4 of the Contact lever 1 releases.
- the trigger lever reaches the position shown in Fig. 2.
- the contact lever 1 When the latching pin 4 is released, the contact lever 1 first rotates under the action of the contact spring 16 about its contact point until the base of the notch 13 comes into contact with the axis 14, which now becomes the pivot axis when the contact lever moves further.
- the latching pin 4 strikes against the lever arm 7a and thereby accelerates the rotary movement of the release lever.
- the control knob 6 also goes into the switch-off position shown in FIG. 3 together with the latch lever 5.
- the control knob 6 is under the action of a spring, not shown, which drives it into the position shown in FIG. 3.
- a spring, also not shown, acting on the pawl lever 5 presses it with the angled extension 5b against the edge 7'b of the lever arm 7b. As a result, the end 5a of the pawl lever 5 again engages over the latching pin 4.
- the mechanism is switched on in such a way that the manual control knob 6 is pivoted counterclockwise, as a result of which the pawl lever 5 acts on the contact lever 1 and in turn pivots it about the axis 14.
- the contact lever 1 pivots about the axis 14 until it reaches the position shown in Fig. 4, i. H. touches the fixed contact piece 3 with its movable contact piece 2.
- the contact spring 16 is tensioned.
- the contact lever lifts off the axis 14 when the hand control toggle is pivoted further counterclockwise and then rotates around the contact contact point during this movement.
- the final switch-on position is reached when the manual control knob 6, together with the ratchet lever 5, reaches the dead center position.
- a contact lever 21 with an elongated hole 21c is mounted on a fixed axis 14.
- the contact lever is fork-shaped at one end by means of a long prong 21 b and a short prong 21 a and is latched to the latter by a ratchet lever 25 designed as a wire bracket.
- a lever arm 27a of a release lever 27 pivotable about a fixed axis 8 acts on this latched end of the wire bracket.
- a second lever arm 27b of the release lever lies in the effective area of a plunger 11 of a magnetic release member 12.
- the contact lever 21 in turn has an angled portion 21d which acts on the rear side of the lever arm 27a during the opening movement.
- a stop 21f of the contact lever located in the region of the end of the lever arm 27b is also detected by the plunger 11 of the triggering element during the short-circuit shutdown, so that an impact is exerted on the contact lever. Otherwise, the sequences of movements are similar to the arrangement according to FIGS. 1-4.
- the mechanism according to the invention is particularly advantageous in that, apart from the small number of its components and its small space requirement, because of the separation of the movable contact lever, it allows a connection to the thermal release element with variable bimetallic elements. In addition, because of the latching at one end of the contact lever, the unlatching forces are reduced to a minimum.
- the possibility of coupling with neighboring switches is also advantageous, so that multipole switches can be created in a simple manner.
- the release lever has jaws 17 reaching up to the switch walls, the end faces of which have receiving holes 17a for coupling pins or recesses 17b.
- the coupling pin of a switch engages through openings in the housing in the recess of the adjacent trigger lever jaw and thus produces the coupling.
Description
- Fig. 1 zeigt den Schaltmechanismus in Einschaltstellung, während in
- Fig. 2 die Freiauslösestellung wiedergegeben ist. In
- Fig. 4 zur Erläuterung des Einschaltvorganges dient.
