- the lifting takes place by rotation of said assembly around the rollers 14 carried by the ends of the brackets 12, while the jack stands 8 maintain the running rail 3 in its vertical deflection plane.
- the braking force exerted by the brake shoes 4 on the wheels of the wagons is directly a function of the apparent weight of said wheels, the assembly behaving like a kind of balance.
- a reverse command on the jack 10 causes the lowering of the brackets 12 and consequently of the levers 1 and 2, as well as of the running rail 3 which then comes to bear on the chassis 9. In doing so, the brake pads 4 move apart wheels of the wagons and release them from any delaying effort.
