Definitions

  • the innovation relates to a corner bearing for turn and tilt sashes of windows, doors or the like with a screwable to the fixed frame via a support plate and with at least one support pin or pin projecting from the rear of the support plate and engaging in a bore of the fixed frame, the one about a horizontal axis tiltable hinge pin, which engages supportingly in an articulated band aligned on the wing with its lateral vertical axis of rotation, the bearing block being adjustable relative to the support plate and transversely to the plane of the fixed frame via a threaded member. Corner bearings of this type are regularly used in tilt-and-turn windows and doors when it is important to be able to regulate the sealing pressure of the closed sash relative to the fixed frame at any time - even retrospectively - as required.
  • the corner bearing In order for the windows and doors to function properly over the long term, the corner bearing must remain securely attached to the fixed frame even under the influence of heavy-weight sashes. To ensure this, the corner bearings are therefore not only screwed to the fixed frame via a support plate, but the support plate is also provided with at least one support pin or pin projecting from the rear, which fits into a hole in the fixed frame.
  • the desirable adjustment of the bearing block can, however, only be carried out here after the hinge band, which is aligned with the lateral, vertical axis of rotation of the wing, has previously been disengaged from the hinge pin supported by the bearing block.
  • a structurally similar corner bearing is also known from DE-U-1865421.
  • the support plate cannot simply be screwed onto the end face of the fixed frame on the room side. Rather, it must be let into a relatively large and deep recess, which at the relevant corner of the fixed frame, for. B. is to be produced by a milling process.
  • Such a corner bearing version has a high load-bearing capacity and can also be easily manipulated for the purpose of regulating the sealing contact pressure for the wing.
  • the work involved in milling the recess at the corner of the frame is relatively high and such a milling cannot be provided regularly in the corner area of the fixed frame, even in the case of windows made of hollow plastic profiles.
  • corner bearings for turn-tilt sashes for windows, doors or the like available, which do not adhere to the shortcomings of the various known embodiments, but which combine their respective advantages.
  • the innovation is therefore based on the task of creating a spatial shape for a corner bearing of the type described at the outset, which can be attached to the fixed frame without problems with a high load-bearing capacity, but at the same time enables the sealing system to be readjusted between the sash and the fixed frame without the hinge being necessary of the wing must be unhooked from the tiltable hinge pin of the corner bearing.
  • This also has the advantage that a practically infinitely variable adjustment of the bearing block relative to the support plate and thus a very sensitive influence on the sealing system between sash and fixed frame can be achieved.
  • a structurally particularly simple embodiment for a corner bearing of high load-bearing capacity can be created by using the features of one or more of claims 2 to 5.
  • a two-dimensional adjustability of the corner bearing that is to say an additional possibility of regulating the position of the wing relative to the fixed frame parallel to its main plane, can be achieved practically without a noticeable increase in the tree mass if the features of one of claims 10 and 11 are provided. Through simultaneous use of the features shown in claims 10 and 11, there is even a three-dimensional adjustability for the corner bearing.
  • the corner bearing shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 has a flat support plate 1 stamped from sheet metal with a vertical screw-on tab 1 'and two screw-on tabs 1 "which are connected in one piece to its lower end and face opposite sides, such that this support plate 1 approximately has the outline shape of an upside down T.
  • the screw-on tab 1 'of the support plate 1 has two countersunk holes 2, one above the other at a distance, through which it can be fastened by means of countersunk screws on the room-side frame visible surface.
  • a support bolt or pin 3 is rigidly attached to the screw-on tab 1 'in the area between the two countersunk holes 2 and can be inserted into a suitable hole in the fixed frame.
  • Each of the two screw-on tabs 1 ′′ of the support plate 1 is provided with a punched-out hole 4 near its upper boundary edge, while it carries a guide pin 5 projecting forward in the vicinity of its lower edge.
  • a bearing block 11 is in adjusting engagement via a corresponding internal thread 10, which is supported by the guide pins 5 of the support plate 1 in a rotationally fixed but slidable manner by means of two guide holes 12.
  • the bearing block 11 is also provided with a countersunk hole 13, said countersunk hole 13 being aligned with the through holes 4 of the support plate 1 and together with these serving to receive countersunk screws which can be screwed into the fixed frame.
  • the bearing block 11 is provided with two upwardly directed, parallel fork legs 14, which form bearing eyes for a rotatable but axially immovable threaded member 15 which extends in the horizontal direction and parallel to the plane of the fixed frame or the support plate 1.
  • This threaded member is in permanent engagement via an adapted internal thread 16 with the bearing tab 17 of an upwardly directed hinge pin 18, in such a way that the hinge pin 18 on the one hand can be tilted forward by at least a limited angle relative to the threaded member 15, while on the other hand by corresponding rotation of the Threaded member 15 can be adjusted continuously to the right or to the left by a limited amount between the fork legs 14.
  • the hinge pin 18 engages from below in an articulated band arranged on the wing with its lateral vertical axis of rotation in a supporting manner (not shown).
  • the two fork legs 14 of the bearing block 11 are each provided with rearward-facing strips 19 which support overlap with the lower end surface 20 of the upward-facing edge surfaces 21 of the two screw-on tabs 1 ", while their longitudinal surfaces 22 also abut the sideways-facing edge surfaces 23 of the screw-on tab 1".
  • the high load-bearing capacity of the corner bearing design according to FIGS. 1 to 5 is achieved in that it can be anchored on the one hand by means of four screws to the fixed frame, while in addition the support bolt or pin 3 and the extension shaft 9 are inserted into the relatively deep bores of the same are. Due to the structurally symmetrical design of the corner bearing in relation to the vertical normal plane 6-6, this is easily suitable for optional right and left hinges. It is also important that all the elements of the corner bearing necessary for adjusting the position of the sash lie in front of the end face of the fixed frame on the room side and do not require any installation space within the frame profile.
  • FIGS. 6 to 8 The corner bearing design shown in FIGS. 6 to 8 has - seen in principle - the same functional parts as the corner bearing according to FIGS. 1 to 5. Only with regard to the operative connection between the bearing block 11 and the support plate 1, on the one hand, and with regard to the operative connection the threaded member 8 with the bracket 11 and the support plate 1 on the other hand, there are structural differences.
  • the support plate 1 with the support bolt or pin 3 and the extension shaft 9 is made as a one-piece molded part from die-casting.
  • a polygonal projection 25 protruding from its front, for example of a square outline, is formed on the support plate 1 as a guide cam for the bearing block 11.
  • This polygonal extension 25 contains a bore 26, to which an internal thread 27 is connected within the extension shaft 9.
  • a polygonal recess 28 adapted in cross section to the polygonal shoulder 25 is formed in the bearing block 11 and concentrically to this, the bearing block 11 has a neck 29.
  • the bearing block 11 is rotatably but axially displaceable on the polygonal socket 25 of the support plate 1 guided, while its neck 29 protrudes into the bore 26 of the polygonal extension 25.
  • the threaded member 8 is formed by a cylinder head screw, the head part 30 of which is received in a cylindrical extension 31 of the extension shaft 9.
  • the threaded section 32 of the threaded member 8 adjoining the cylinder head 30 is in permanent engagement with the internal thread 27 of the extension shaft 9, while a smooth shaft section 33 of the same passes through the neck 29 of the bearing block 11 in a rotatable but axially non-displaceable manner.
  • a support ring 34 connected to the free end of the smooth shaft section 33 is received flush in a recess 35 on the end face of the bearing block 11.
  • This support ring 34 is preferably firmly riveted to the smooth shaft section 33 of the threaded member 8, a polygonal recess 36, for example an internal hexagon, of the threaded member 8 opening into the area of the riveting, into which an adjusting tool can be brought into engagement.
  • a polygonal recess 36 for example an internal hexagon
  • Fig. 7 is also indicated how the hinge attached to the wing 37 can interact with the hinge pin 18 of the corner bearing. It is supported by a bearing shell 38 on the upper end of the hinge pin 18.
  • the bearing shell 38 is non-rotatably, but is supported axially adjustable in the bearing bore 40 of the hinge band 37 by means of a set screw 39, in such a way that the hinge band 37 is displaced in the axial direction relative to the hinge pin 18 by rotating the set screw 39. In this way, a three-dimensional adjustability of the wing can be realized via the corner bearing.
  • corner bearing designs described above can be used in conjunction with tilt-and-turn sashes of windows, doors or the like wherever an easy-to-manipulate adjustability of the installed sash is important, but at the same time a high load-bearing capacity of the corner bearings must be ensured without Excessively large recesses must be provided in the fixed frame.
