Abstract

Se describe una planta dicoteledónea transgénica que tiene una deficiencia de una o más proteínas de almacenamiento de semilla vegetal, que tiene además una construcción de pilinucleótido transgénica que comprende un marco de lectura abierto enlazado operablemente a un promotor de proteína de almacenamiento y una secuencia de señal ER. La construcción de polinucleótido codifica para un producto de proteína que puede acumularse a altos niveles en la semilla. Se proporcionan también métodos para producir una proteína heteróloga en una semilla vegetal.
