Abstract
Un método para aumentar la resistencia a patógenos fúngicos de la familia de Phacosporacea en plantas y/o células vegetales. Por ejemplo, esto se logra mediante el aumento de la expresión de una proteína hidrofobina o un fragmento de esta en una planta, parte de planta y/o célula vegetal, en comparación con las plantas de tipo silvestre, partes de plantas de tipo silvestre y/o células vegetales de tipo silvestre. En las plantas transgénicas, la hidrofobina se puede expresar como una proteína de fusión para facilitar y/o aumentar la expresión. Asimismo, la proteína hidrofobina se puede expresar en forma tal que incluya una secuencia de señales de secreción que medie la secreción de la proteína en el apoplasto y/o en la cutícula.
