Abstract
Un método para aumentar la resistencia a patógenos fúngicos de la familia Phacosporacea en plantas y/o células vegetales. Esto se logra mediante el aumento de la expresión de una proteína EIN2 o un fragmento de esta en una planta, parte de planta y/o célula vegetal, en comparación con las plantas, partes de plantas y/o células vegetales de tipo silvestre. Asimismo, plantas, partes de plantas y/o células vegetales transgénicas que tienen una mayor resistencia a los patógenos fúngicos, en particular, los patógenos de la familia Phacopsoraceae y a vectores de expresión recombinantes que comprenden una secuencia que es idéntica u homóloga a una secuencia que codifica una proteína EIN2
