Claims (19)

1. Elektrisk kabel, omfattende: (a) en kabelkerne, som omfatter mindst én kompositkerne, hvor komposit-kernen omfatter: (i) mindst én stav, som omfatter en flerhed af konsoliderede, termoplastisk imprægnerede rovinger, hvor rovingerne omfatter kontinuerlige fibre, der er orienteret i længderetningen, og en termoplastisk matrix, som indlejrer fibrene, hvor fibrene har et forhold af maksimal trækstyrke til masse per enhedslængde på mere end ca. 1.000 MPa/g/m, hvor staven omfatter fra ca. 25 vægt% til ca. 80 vægt% fibre og fra ca. 20 vægt% til ca. 75 vægt% termoplastisk matrix, og hvor den termoplastiske matrix omfatter en polyarylensulfid; og (ii) et dæklag, som omgiver den mindst én stav, hvor dæklaget omfatter en polyether-ether-keton og er fri for kontinuerlige fibre eller indeholder mindre end ca. 10 vægt% af kontinuerlige fibre; hvor kompositkernen har et bøjningsmodul på mindst ca. 10 GPa; og (b) en flerhed af ledende elementer, som omgiver kabelkernen.
2. Kabel ifølge krav 1, hvor: staven omfatter fra ca. 30 vægt% til ca. 75 vægt% fibre; fibrene omfatter carbonfibre; og polyarylensulfiden omfatter en polyphenylensulfid.
3. Kabel ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor fibrene har et forhold af maksimal trækstyrke til masse per enhedslængde på ca. 5.500 til ca. 20.000 MPa/g/m.
4. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor kompositkernen har: et bøjningsmodul på fra ca. 15 til ca. 200 GPa; og en maksimal trækstyrke på fra ca. 500 MPa til ca. 3.500 MPa.
5. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 4, hvor kompositkernen har: et elasticitetsmodul i området fra ca. 70 GPa til ca. 300 GPa; eller en massefylde i området fra ca. 1,2 g/cc til ca. 1,8 g/cc; eller et styrke-til-vægtforhold i et område fra ca. 500 MPa/(g/cc) til ca. 1.100 MPa/(g/cc); eller en procentvis budforlængelse i et område fra ca. 1% til ca. 2,5%; eller en lineær varmeudvidelseskoefficient i længderetning i et område fra ca. -0,4 til ca. 5 ppm per °C; eller en bøjningsradius i et område fra ca. 1 cm til ca. 50 cm; eller en hulrumsfraktion på mindre end ca. 6%; eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf.
6. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, hvor: staven omfatter fra 2 til 20 rovinger; og hvor roving omfatter fra ca. 1.000 til ca. 100.000 individuelle kontinuerlige fibre.
7. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, hvor kabelkernen omfatter to eller flere kompositkerner.
8. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 7, hvor kabelkernen er en strenget kerne, som omfatter fra 2 til 37 kompositkerner, hvor hver komposit-kerne har en i det væsentlige cirkulær tværsnitsform.
9. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 8, hvor kablet omfatter op til 84 ledende elementer, og hvor et samlet areal af de ledende elementer er i et område fra ca. 167 til ca. 3500 kcmil.
10. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 9, hvor: de ledende elementer omfatter kobber, en kobberlegering, aluminium, en aluminiumslegering eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf; eller de ledende elementer er anbragt i 2, 3 eller 4 lag omkring kabelkernen; eller de ledende elementer har en i det væsentlige cirkulær tværsnitsform eller en i det væsentlige trapezformet tværsnitsform; eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf.
11. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 10, hvor de ledende elementer omfatter aluminium eller en aluminiumslegering med en elektrisk ledeevne ifølge IACS i et område fra ca. 59% til ca. 65%.
12. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 11, hvor kablet har: en nedbøjning, ved nominel temperatur på 180 °C, for et 300-meter niveauspænd med en let belastning ifølge NESC i et område fra ca. 3 til ca. 9,5 m; og en nedbøjning, ved nominel temperatur på 180 °C, for et 300-meter niveauspænd med en tung belastning ifølge NESC i et område fra ca. 3 til ca. 7,5 m.
13. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 12, hvor kablet har: en belastningsparameter i et område fra ca. 20 MPa til ca. 50 MPa; eller en 10-års krybningsværdi ved 15% RBS (nominel brudbelastning) på mindre end ca. 0,2%; eller en 10-års krybningsværdi ved 30% RBS (nominel brudbelastning) på mindre end ca. 0,25%; eller en maksimal driftstemperatur i et område fra ca. 100 °C til ca. 250 °C; eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf.
14. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 13, hvor kablet består en Aeolian-vibrationstest ved 100 millioner cyklusser.
15. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 14, yderligere omfattende et delvis eller komplet lag af tape mellem kabelkernen og flerheden af leden- de elementer.
16. Kabel ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 15, hvor kablet er et høj-spændingsfriledningskabel.
17. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af et elektrisk kabel, hvor fremgangsmåden omfatter: (a) tilvejebringe en kabelkerne, som omfatter mindst én kompositkerne, hvor kompositkernen omfatter: (i) mindst én stav, som omfatter en flerhed af konsoliderede, termoplastisk imprægnerede rovinger, hvor rovingerne omfatter kontinuerlige fibre, der er orienteret i længderetningen, og en termoplastisk matrix, som indlejrer fibrene, hvor fibrene har et forhold af maksimal trækstyrke til masse per enhedslængde på mere end ca. 1.000 MPa/g/m, hvor staven omfatter fra ca. 25 vægt% til ca. 80 vægt% fibre og fra ca. 20 vægt% til ca. 75 vægt% termoplastisk matrix, og hvor den termoplastiske matrix omfatter en polyarylensulfid; og (ii) et dæklag, som omgiver den mindst én stav, hvor dæklaget omfatter en polyether-ether-keton og er fri for kontinuerlige fibre eller indeholder mindre end ca. 10 vægt% af kontinuerlige fibre; hvor kompositkernen har et bøjningsmodul på mindst ca. 10 GPa; og (b) omgive kabelkernen med en flerhed af ledende elementer.
18. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 17, yderligere omfattende et trin med delvis eller fuldstændig indpakning af kabelkernen med tape inden trin (B).
19. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 17, yderligere omfattende et trin med delvis eller fuldstændig coating af kabelkernen med polymermateriale inden trin (B).
