Claims (15)
1. Katalysatoren hed i form af en cylinder, som har en længde C og en diameter D, og som har 3-10 cirkulære huller, der strækker sig derigennem, hvorved cylinderen har hvælvede ender med længder A og B, således at (A+B+C)/D ligger i intervallet 0,50 til 2,00, og (A+B)/C ligger i intervallet 0,40 til 5,00.
2. Katalysatorenhed ifølge krav 1, hvorved (A+B+C)/D ligger i intervallet 0,75 til 1,50.
3. Katalysatorenhed ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor (A+B)/C ligger i intervallet 0,40 til 3,00.
4. Katalysatorenhed ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 3, hvorved hullerne har et cirkulært tværsnit og uafhængigt har en diameter d’ i intervallet fra 0,05D til 0,5D.
5. Katalysatorenhed ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 4, hvorved enhedens udvendige overflade har en eller flere riller, som strækker sig i dens længde.
6. Katalysatorenhed ifølge krav 5, hvorved antallet af riller er lig med antallet af huller.
7. Katalysatorenhed ifølge krav 5 eller 6, hvorved den totale rillebredde er < 35% af enhedens omkreds.
8. Katalysatorenhed ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 7, hvorved den ene eller begge de hvælvede ender er placeret til at tilvejebringe en læbe på cylinderens ene eller begge ender.
9. Katalysatorenhed ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 8, omfattende et metal eller en metalsammensætning, som er udvalgt fra en metaloxid, metalhydroxid, metalcarbonat, metalhydroxycarbonat eller en blanding heraf.
10. Katalysatorenhed ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 9, indeholdende en eller flere metalsammensætninger, der er blevet imprægneret ind i og/eller anbragt på enheden.
11. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en katalysatorenhed ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 10, omfattende trinene (i) tilføring af et pulverformet materiale, eventuelt med en pillehjælp, til en pillematrice, (ii) sammentrykning af pulveret til dannelsen af en formet enhed og derefter (iii) eventuelt opvarmning af den formede enhed til dannelse af katalysatorenheden, idet matricen er således tildannet, at katalysatorenheden har form af en cylinder, som har en længde C og en diameter D, som har 3-10 cirkulære huller, som strækker sig derigennem, og hvor cylinderen har hvælvede ender med længder A og B, således at (A+B+C)/D ligger i intervallet 0,50 til 2,00, og (A+B)/C ligger i intervallet 0,40 til 5,00.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11, hvorved det pulverformede materiale er en bundfældet sammensætning, som omfatter et eller flere katalytiske metaller, som er blevet tørret og eventuelt kalcineret og/eller reduceret eller passiveret.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11, hvorved det pulverformede materiale er et katalysatorbæremateriale.
14. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 13, hvorved den yderligere omfatter trinene til behandling af den resulterende enhed ved imprægnering med eller aflejring af en eller flere metalsammensætninger.
15. Katalysatorproces ved brug af en katalysatorenhed ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 10 eller fremstillet ifølge ethvert af kravene 11 til 14, omfattende bringning af en reaktantblanding i kontakt med katalysatorenheden under forhold, som iværksætter katalysatorreaktionen.
