Claims (21)

1. Fremgangsmåde til devulkanisering af gummi der omfatter at bringe en vulkaniseret gummi i kontakt med en terpentinvæske i en reaktionsblanding i et fravær af alkalimetal, carbondioxid, højtrykskedler, mikrobølger, ultrasoniske bølger og katalysatorer, hvor terpentinvæsken anvendes som et devulkaniseringsmiddel til at nedsætte svovlindhold og bryde svovl-tværbindinger af den vulkaniserede gummi, hvor terpentinvæsken er valgt fra gruppen bestående af: naturel terpentin, syntetisk terpentin, fyrretræsolie, a-pinen, β-pinen, a-terpineol, β-terpineol, 3-caren, anethol, dipenten (p-mentha-l,8-dien), terpenresiner, nopol, pinan, camphen, p-cymen, anisaldehyd, 2-pinan-hydroperoxid, 3,7-dimethyl-l,6-octadien, isobornylacetat, terpinhydrat, ocimen, 2-pinanol, dihydromyrcenol, isoborneol, y-terpineol, alloocimen, alloocimenalkoholer, geraniol, 2-methoxy-2,6-dimethyl-7,8-epoxyoctan, campher, p-menthan-8-ol, α-terpinylacetat, citral, citronellol, 7-methoxydihydrocitronellal, 10-camphersulfonsyre, p-menthen, p-menthan-8-yl-acetat, citronellal, 7-hydroxydihydrocitronellal, menthol, menthon, polymerer deraf, og blandinger deraf.
2. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor terpentinvæsken er valgt fra gruppen bestående af, naturel terpentin, syntetisk terpentin, fyrretræsolie, a-pinen, β-pinen, a-terpineol, β-terpineol, polymerer deraf, og blandinger deraf.
3. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor den vulkaniserede gummi er tilvejebragt i en form af mindst én intakt vulkaniseret gummiartikel, vulkaniseret gummiklump, vulkaniseret gummiblok, vulkaniseret gummigranulat, vulkaniseret gummistykke, eller en flerhed eller blanding deraf.
4. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 3, hvor den vulkaniserede gummi er i gummigranulatform.
5. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 4, hvor gummigranulatet har en gennemsnitlig partikelstørrelse på fra ca. 0,074 millimeter til ca. 50 millimeter.
6. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor terpentinvæsken yderligere omfatter et opløsningsmiddel eller en væske der ikke er blandbar med terpentinvæsken.
7. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 6, hvor opløsningsmidlet er valgt fra gruppen bestående af lavere alifatiske alkoholer, lavere alkaner, og blandinger deraf.
8. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 7, hvor opløsningsmidlet er valgt fra gruppen bestående af ethanol, propanol, butanol, heptan, og blandinger deraf.
9. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 7, hvor væsken der ikke er blandbar med terpentinvæsken yderligere omfatter vand.
10. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 9, hvor vandet er kogende.
11. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor gummien og terpentinvæsken bringes i kontakt ved en temperatur på fra ca. 10°C til ca. 180°C.
12. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende: tilvejebringe en reaktorkedel inde i hvilken reaktorkedel den vulkaniserede gummi bringes i kontakt med terpentinvæsken; tilvejebringe et organ til omrøring af den vulkaniserede gummi og terpentinvæsken i reaktorkedlen; og omrøre gummien og terpentinvæsken.
13. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 12, hvor den vulkaniserede gummi bringes i kontakt med terpentinvæsken i en tidsperiode for at inducere en forudbestemt grad af devulkanisering.
14. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende inkubering af den vulkaniserede gummi med terpentinvæsken i en opbevaringsbeholder.
15. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor gummien bringes i kontakt med terpentinvæsken ved en temperatur på mindre end ca. 180°C.
16. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor gummien bringes i kontakt med terpentinvæsken ved en temperatur på mindre end 100°C.
17. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende trinnet at tilvejebringe til reaktionsblandingen under kontakten med en forbindelse valgt fra gruppen bestående af metaloxider, svovl-gruppe-inhibitorer, N-tert-butyl-2-benzothiazol-sulphenamid (TBBS), zinkmercaptobenzothiazol (ZMBT), 2-mercaptobenzothiazol (MBT), tetramethylthiuram-monosulfid (TMTM), og blandinger deraf.
18. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende trinnet at tilvejebringe en termofil mikroorganisme til reaktionsblandingen under denne kontakt.
19. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 7, hvor den lavere alkan er hexan.
20. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor kontakten totalt devulkaniserer et stykke eller partikel af vulkaniseret gummi eller elastomer af en hvilken som helst begrænset størrelse, fx, gummidelen af et typisk personvognsdæk, hvis dimensioner er ca. 260 mm i bredden, ca. 660 mm i yderdiameter og ca. 410 mm i inderdiameter, hvor den vulkaniserede gummi eller elastomer lagres med ét eller flere devulkaniseringsmidler i en periode på ca. én uge til 6 uger ved en temperatur mellem ca. 50 og 120°C og under tryk på ca. 1,01 x 105 Pascal (1,0 atm eller 14,8 lbs/in2).
21. Anvendelse af terpentinvæske som devulkaniseringmiddel til at nedsætte svovlindhold og bryde svovl-tværbindinger af en vulkaniseret gummi, hvor den vulkaniserede gummi bringes i kontakt med terpentinvæsken i en reaktionsblanding i et fravær af alkalimetal, carbondioxid, højtrykskedler, mikrobølger, ultrasoniske bølger og katalysatorer, hvor terpentinvæsken er valgt fra gruppen bestående af: naturel terpentin, syntetisk terpentin, fyrretræsolie, a-pinen, β-pinen, a-terpineol, β-terpineol, 3-caren, anethol, dipenten (p-mentha-l,8-dien), terpenresiner, nopol, pinan, camphen, p-cymen, anisaldehyd, 2-pinan hydroperoxid, 3,7-dimethyl-l,6- octadien, isobornyl acetat, terpinhydrat, ocimen, 2-pinanol, dihydromyrcenol, isoborneol, γ-terpineol, alloocimen, alloocimenalkoholer, geraniol, 2-methoxy-2,6-dimethyl-7,8-epoxyoctan, campher, p-menthan-8-ol, a-terpinylacetat, citral, citronellol, 7-methoxydihydrocitronellal, 10-camphersulfonsyre, p-menthen, p-menthan-8-yl-acetat, citronellal, 7-hydroxydihydrocitronellal, menthol, menthon, polymerer deraf, og blandinger deraf.
