Opfindelsen angår et bygningselement til væg- og tagkonstruk tioner, som nærmere angivet i indledningen til krav 1.

5 Fra GB patentskrift nr. 1.202.044 kendes et bygningselement af denne art i form af et laminat med et metallisk lag, et opskummet harpikslag og et mellemliggende semielastomert lag, der er et reaktionsprodukt af et polyisocyanat og en polyol, som er blandet med et kornet materiale, såsom sand. De fore-10 slåede bindingsmaterialer kan ikke tåle en varmepåvirkning, der overskrider 100-150°C, og vil i givet fald smelte og fordampe. Når bindingsmaterialet mellem det kornede materiale forsvinder, mister laget sin styrke og dermed sin bæreevne, og sandpartiklerne falder ned. Laminerede plader til bygningskonstruktioner kendes endvidere 2 fra U.S. patentskrift nr. 3.763.614, U.S. patentskrift nr.
3 3.466.222 og britisk patentskrift nr. 1.218.013. Dette skrift 4 beskriver et laminat, hvis brændbarhed nedsættes ved at beklæde 5 laminatet med et ikke brændbart materiale, såsom asbest eller 6 cellulosefibre på den side af pladen, der vender ind mod et 7 opholdsrum. De ikke brændbare asbestfibre har desværre kræft 8 fremkaldende egenskaber, der medfører, at enhver anvendelse 9 af dette materiale må frarådes, især i boligbyggeri, i skoler 10 og andre institutioner.

Det er formålet med opfindelsen på grundlag af almindeligt 13 anvendte bygningsmaterialer, der ikke i sig selv betragtes 14 som brandsikre materialer, at tilvejebringe et isolerende 15 bygningselement, som har brandhæmmende egenskaber, der sikrer, 16 at elementet kan modstå en kraftig varmepåvirkning i en vis tid og derunder bibeholde sin lastbærende evne. Især er det hensigten at fremstille et bygningselement, der kan opfylde specifikke brandsikkerhedskrav og f.eks. kunne modstå en given varmepåvirkning i mindst 10 minutter.

Elementet ifølge opfindelsen er ejendommeligt ved, at den yderligere plade består af en træfiberplade eller er fremstillet af et materiale med lignende egenskaber og/eller af en 5 gipsplade.
Derved opnår man, at den yderligere plade i delvis carboniseret tilstand bibeholder sin lastbærende evne og under carbonise-ringen fungerer som et varmeisolerende lag, hvorved tempera-q turen i isoleringspladen i en vis tid vil kunne holdes nede under den temperatur, ved hvilken isoleringsmaterialet fordamper. Hvis den yderligere plade er en gipsplade, vil den bibeholde sin lastbærende evne under fordampningen af krystal-vandet i gipsen. Ved fordampningen optages latent varme fra 5 den ydre varmekilde, således at isoleringspladens tempera tur i en vis tid kan holdes under den temperatur, ved hvilken isoleringsmaterialet fordamper.
Det er ganske overraskende, at materialet til den yderligere q plade imellem jernpladen og isoleringspladen kan vælges fra grupper af ikke-brandsikre materialer, såsom træfiberplader, som er et ganske billigt materiale. Selv gipsplader kan anven- s des til det yderligere lag. Det fælles træk hos de ikke-brand-sikre pladematerialer, som kan anvendes, er, at de, når de 5 udsættes for varme, i en vis grad bevarer deres form og last bærende evne, samtidig med at de forhindrer, at temperaturen i det isolerende materiale stiger til en temperatur, ved hvilken isoleringsmaterialet bliver gasformigt, på grund af endo-termiske, kemiske reaktioner i dette materiale.

Opfindelsen beskrives i det følgende nærmere under henvisning til den vedføjede tegning, som viser et tværsnit af en udførelsesform for elementet ifølge opfindelsen. Elementets størrelse og form kan naturligvis varieres alt efter det pågælden-5 de formål. Elementets kanter er på kendt måde forsynet med fuger og tætninger, således at elementerne kan føjes sammen ved opførelsen af ikke viste vægge og/eller tag.

På tegningen angiver henvisningstallet 1 den isolerende plade af sandwich-elementet. Et passende materiale for det pladeformede isoleringsomslag er polystyren, men også andre materialer med lignende egenskaber er egnede, f.eks. urethan.
5 Isoleringspladens tykkelse kan variere fra 50-500 mm afhæn gig af isoleringskravene. Henvisningstallene 2 og 3 på tegningen angiver dæklaget af stålplade på begge sider af isoleringspladen, og dette dæklag har fortrinsvis en yderbelaeg-ning af plast. Stålpladens tykkelse er omkring 0,5 mm. Hen-2o visningstallet 4 i figuren angiver det yderligere lag, som er fastsat mellem dækpladen 2 og isoleringspladen 1 så tæt som muligt. Den i figuren viste udførelsesform for elementet kan modstå varme, som tilføres ude fra i pilens 5 retning.
25 Elementet ifølge opfindelsen kan også være udført med endnu et yderligere lag 4 placeret på den anden side af isoleringspladen 1 mellem den anden dækplade 3 og isoleringspladen 1, hvorved elementet kan modstå varme, som tilføres fra den ene eller den anden side eller fra begge sider.

Ved normal anvendelse af elementet fungerer den yderligere plade eller pladerne 4 som konstruktive dele, der forstærker elementet. Virkningen af den yderligere plade 4 på elementets egenskaber bliver tydelig, når elementet udsættes for 25 varme udefra (pilen 5). Hvis materialet i den yderligere plade er træfiber (tykkelse ca. 10-30 mm) eller noget andet lignende, ikke-brandsikkert materiale, fungerer elementet på følgende måde. Når den ydre varmepåvirkning sker, f.eks. ved en brand (pilen 5), stiger dækpladens 2 temperatur meget hurtigt, så-30 ledes at plastbelægningen brændes bort, og selve dækpladen 2 bøjer sig under temperaturforøgelsen. Pladens 2 lastbærende evne formindskes således væsentligt. Samtidigt stiger temperaturen i den yderligere plade 4 kraftigt, men takket være at pladen 2 er gjort fast tæt ind mod ydersiden af pladen 35 4, og fordi fugerne mellem de forskellige elementer også er gjort så tætte som muligt, forekommer ingen ild, bortset fra at træmaterialet i pladen begynder at blive omdannet til carbon. Carboniseringen sker ganske langsomt med en ringe mængde 4

oxygen, og det carboniserede lag udgør en effektiv isolering.
Den yderligere plade 4 kan følgelig bibeholde sin lastbærende g evne i en vis tid, når elementet er udsat for den ydre varme påvirkning. Desuden optager carboniseringen latent varme i en sådan grad, at overfladetemperaturen på den side af den isolerede plade 1, som vender ind imod den yderligere plade 4, ikke når den temperatur, ved hvilken f.eks. polystyren jq (ca. 100°C) bliver gasformig. Dette indebærer, at isolerings pladen 1 bibeholder sin tætte kontakt med den yderligere plade 4 og dækpladen 2. Hvis isoleringspladen 1, som holder sammen på de to dækplader 2,3, bliver gasformig, falder elementet sammen næsten umiddelbart. Den væsentlige egenskab ved ele-mentet ifølge opfindelsen er, at den yderligere plade 4 bibeholder sin lastbærende evne, selv om den er delvis carboni-seret, og at det carboniserede lag fungerer som et isoleringslag, som således forhindrer, at isoleringspladen beskadiges, hvorved der i en vis tid ikke dannes den gasformige fase af 2Q isoleringsmaterialet.
Det er naturligvis muligt at ændre tykkelsen af træfiberpladen og derved opnå forskellige holdbarhedsværdier i overensstemmelse med brandsikringsklassificeringen.

Ved anvendelse af en gipsplade som den yderligere plade 4 fungerer elementet i hovedsagen på lignende måde som i tilfældet med træfiberpladen. Den idé at anvende en gipsplade er særlig hensigtsmæssig, idet gips indeholder krystalvand, 3ø som fordamper, når elementet udsættes for varme. Ved fordamp ningen af krystalvandet bibeholder den yderligere plade af gips sin lastbærende evne i en vis tid. Desuden kræver fordampningen latent varme og medvirker derved til, at overfladetemperaturen på den side af isoleringspladen, som vender ind 35 imod den yderligere plade, ikke opnår temperaturen for isole ringsmaterialets gasfase (foreløbigt).

1. Bygningselement, isser et såkaldt sandwich-element, omfat tende en isoleringsplade (1) af celleformig polystyren eller lignende materiale, mindst én dækplade (2,3), især en stålplade, fastgjort til mindst ém af isoleringspladens (1) sideflader, hvorved dækpladen (2,3) eller dækpladerne fungerer jq som elementets lastbærende del, og mindst én yderligere plade (4), som er anbragt tæt imellem dækpladen (2,3) og isoleringspladen (1) eller imellem mindst én af dækpladerne (2,3) og isoleringspladen (1), kendetegnet ved, at den yderligere plade (4) består af en træfiberplade eller er fremstil-jg let af et materiale med lignende egenskaber og/eller af en gipsplade. 20 25 1 35
