Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf neue Schmiermittel für die Metallbearbeitung oder Metallverarbeitung,
z. B. Walzen, Ziehen, Tiefziehen, Ziehen von Stäben und Rohren, Schmieden von Metall u. dgl.
Die beim Schmieren von Metallen unter den vorerwähnten
Be- oder Verarbeitungsbedingungen auftretenden Probleme sind wegen der zahlreichen in
Betracht kommenden Faktoren, wie hohe Temperatur, übermäßiger Druck, Emulgierung, Anwesenheit von
Fremdkörpern oder Verunreinigungen, Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit u. dgl., sehr verwickelt. Um unter diesen
ungünstigen Bedingungen wirksam schmieren zu können, muß das Schmiermittel in erster Linie als
Kühlmittel und als Schmiermittel wirken.
Auf dem Gebiet der Walzschmiermittel ist Palmöl als außerordentlich wirksam und zur Verwendung für
die schwereren Metalle, wie Eisen, seine Legierungen und Stähle, als brauchbar betrachtet worden. Palmöl
hat jedoch ernstliche Nachteile, insbesondere bei gewissen Anwendungsformen, weil es von Metallflächen
schwer zu entfernen ist und also die Verwendung von Reinigungsmitteln erfordert, welche die Bearbeitungskosten stark erhöhen. Es neigt auch dazu, manche
Metallflächen fleckig zu machen, so daß sich die Flächen beim Anlassen verfärben und sich schädliche
Wirkungen ergeben, wenn solche Metalle später verzinnt oder mit Überzügen u. dgl. versehen werden.
Außerdem verursachen Metallflächen, welche zu stark mit Palmöl überzogen werden, ein übermäßiges
Gleiten der Walzen, wodurch die Walzwirkung verringert wird. Palmöl ist auch nicht immer leicht
erhältlich; daher ist ein billiges und wirksames Ersatzmittel dafür sehr erwünscht.
Um den bei einem guten Schmiermittel für Metallverarbeitung gestellten Anforderungen zu entsprechen,
muß ein solches Walzschmiermittel folgende wesentliche Eigenschaften haben: Filmfestigkeit, Fähigkeit

netzung der Metalle in Anwesenheit von Wasser, Fähigkeit zur Erzeugung eines guten Glanzes auf bearbeiteten
Metallflächen, leichte Entfernbarkeit ohne Fleckenbildung und entemulgierende Eigenschaften,
d. h. Abtrennbarkeit von Wasser und Verunreinigungen einschließlich feiner Pulver.
Filmfestigkeit
Wenn geschmierte Metallflächen unter hohen ίο Drücken übereinandergleiten müssen, besteht die
Tendenz, daß Oberflächenunebenheiten durch den Schmiermittelfilm hindurchdringen und daß das
herausragende Metall an der anliegenden Metallfläche haftet. Hierdurch wird der Übergang von Metall aus
einer Fläche in die andere ermöglicht. Diese Erscheinung, welche bei der Metallbearbeitung als Aufpicken
des bearbeiteten Metalls durch den Preßstempel oder die Walze bezeichnet wird, kann bei höheren
Temperaturen sehr stark auftreten. Obwohl hohe
so Temperaturen das Ergebnis starker Reibung sein und zum Aufpicken führen können, ist man allgemein der
Auffassung, daß die Fähigkeit eines Schmiermittels, das Haften von Metallflächen zu verhindern, von der
Fähigkeit des Schmiermittels zur Verringerung der Reibung zwischen nicht aneinanderhaftenden gleitenden
Flächen unterschieden ist und mit dieser nicht notwendig in Verbindung steht. Aus diesem Grund
ist die Fähigkeit eines Schmiermittels zur Bildung von Oberflächenfilmen, welche eine Berührung von Metall
zu Metall und ein Anhaften vermeiden, sehr wesentlich.
Verringerung der Reibung
Walzschmiermittel müssen die Eigenschaft haben, die Reibung zwischen den Walzen und dem bearbeiteten
Blech zu verringern, um den Kraftverbrauch herabzusetzen, die Dickenabnahme pro Durchlauf zu
erhöhen und die Blechdicke an eine untere Grenze zu bringen, Überhitzen zu vermeiden und den Druck,
welcher auf die Walzen ausgeübt werden muß, auf ein Mindestmaß zu bringen. Die Eigenschaft eines
Schmiermittels bezüglich der Verringerung der Reibung wird in allgemeiner Ausdrucksweise als Öligkeit
bezeichnet und hängt von der Scherfestigkeit des auf einer Metallfläche gebildeten Films und von dem Ver-"45
halten des dünnen Ölfilms beim Fließen unter hohen Drücken ab.
s Benetzbarkeit und Haftung
Da Walzschmiermittel gewöhnlich in Verbindung mit Wasser als Kühlmittel verwendet werden, müssen
sie die Eigenschaft haben, Wasser von Metallflächen zu verdrängen und der Waschwirkung großer Wassermengen
zu widerstehen, welche auf die Walzen und die bearbeitete Fläche gebracht werden. Oft wird
Waschwasser in Form eines Strahles mit hohem Druck zugeführt, so daß die Fähigkeit des 'Schmiermittels,
an Metallflächen zu haften, von überragender Bedeutung ist.
Um diesen Glanz zu erzielen, sollen die für diesen Zweck verwendeten Schmiermittel die Bildung mikroskopischer
Risse auf der bearbeiteten Metalloberfläche verhindern.
Leichte Entfernbarkeit und keine Fleckenbildung
Ein großer Nachteil der gewöhnlichen Öle besteht in der schwierigen Entfernung derselben von gewalzten
Metallblechen. Manchmal werden elektrolytische Reiniger
zur Entfernung des Öls verwendet, denn wenn dieses auf der Metallfläche zurückbleibt und das Metall
dann geglüht wird, wird die Metallfläche fleckig. Walzschmiermittel
müssen also die Eigenschaft haben, daß sie gewünschtenfalls leicht entfernt werden können
und auch auf der mit ihnen in Berührung stehenden Oberfläche unabhängig von der Temperatur keine
Flecken bilden. Gewöhnlich wird im Falle des Aluminiums das Schmiermittel so gewählt, daß es während
des Glühens von der Oberfläche verdampft, und es ist erwünscht, daß es ohne Fleckenbildung verdampft.
Korrosionsverhinderung
Brauchbare Walzschmiermittel müssen nicht nur gegen hohe Temperatur und hohen Druck widerstandsfähig
sein, sondern dürfen auch beim Walzprozeß nicht korrodierend wirken und sollen vorzugsweise nach
dem Walzen als Korrosionsverhinderer wirken, insbesondere in solchen Fällen, in welchen das gewalzte
Metall vor der Weiterbearbeitung längere Zeit gelagert wird.
Das Ziel der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt in der Schaffung verbesserter Schmiermittel für die Metallbearbeitung,
z. B. Walzen, welche beständig und nicht korrodierend sind. Diese Schmiermittel müssen stark
haften und die Eigenschaften haben, daß sie gegen eine Verdrängung von den Metallflächen durch Wasser
beständig sind, nicht zur Fleckenbildung führen und von geschmierten Flächen leicht entfernt werden
können, insbesondere bei der Verarbeitung von Aluminium, rostfreiem Stahl und anderen Metallen und
Legierungen.
Es ist gefunden worden, daß ein Schmiermittel für die Metallbearbeitung, z. B. ein Walzschmiermittel,
mit vorzüglichen Eigenschaften hergestellt werden kann, indem man ein Gemisch aus einem überwiegenden
Anteil an Paraffinen, die keine weseritliche Menge an aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen enthalten, und
einem kleineren Anteil eines Polymers aus einem Kohlenwasserstoff mit einer aliphatischen ungesättigten
Bindung, insbesondere einem polymeren Olefin, herstellt, wobei der Anteil der Paraffine vorzugsweise
mindestens 80 %, besonders zweckmäßig 85 bis 95 Gewichtsprozent
des Gemisches beträgt und das genannte Gemisch als weiteren wesentlichen Bestandteil weniger
als 10 °/0 und vorzugsweise 2 bis 10 °/0, besonders
zweckmäßig 3 bis 6 Gewichtsprozent, einer halogenhaltigen organischen Verbindung, wie Halogenparaffine,
Halogenfettsäuren und Ester derselben u. dgl., enthält.
Die Paraffine können aus geeigneten Erdölen oder Fraktionen derselben gewonnen werden, z. B. aus
pennsylvanischem Rohöl, Osttexas-Rohölen, Midcontinent-Rohölen u. dgl., indem man die Kohlen-
Wasserstoffe entasphaltiert und dann das Paraffin aus der asphaltfreien Kohlenwasserstofffraktion mit bekannten
Mitteln abtrennt. Das asphaltische Material kann aus dem Öl entweder durch Destillation oder
durch Lösungsmittelextraktion entfernt und als eine Komponente der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzungen
verwendet werden. Für den Lösungsprozeß wird ein Lösungsmittel ausgewählt, in welchem das Öl
verhältnismäßig gut löslich ist, die asphaltischen Stoffe
ίο aber verhältnismäßig unlöslich sind. Zu solchen Lösungsmitteln
gehören die leichten flüssigen oder verflüssigten Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Äthan, Propan,
Butan, sowie Naphtha und Benzin. Wenn Öle mit solchen Lösungsmitteln behandelt werden, werden Öl
und Paraffine extrahiert, während die asphaltischen Stoffe als Rückstand zurückbleiben und als Bestandteil
der Zusammensetzungen gemäß vorliegender Erfindung verwendet werden können. Das Paraffin kann
aus dem Paraffin-Öl-Gemisch durch Kühlen des Gemisches und darauffolgendes. Abtrennen der ausgefällten
Paraffine durch Absitzenlassen, Filtrieren oder Zentrifugieren abgetrennt werden. So gewonnene
paraffinische Stoffe sind in der Technik als Rohparaffine, Petrolatum, Weichparaffine, Schuppenparaffine,
Paraffine, schlecht kristallisierende und Nadelparaffine, mikrokristalline Paraffine u. dgl. bekannt.
Diese Paraffine unterscheiden sich voneinander durch den Grad der Entölung und andere Raffinierungsmaßnahmen,
wie Destillation, welchen sie unterworfen werden. Alle diese Paraffine können verwendet
werden, sofern sie im wesentlichen frei von Aromaten sind.
Die Entparaffinierung oder die Abtrennung der obenerwähnten
paraffinischen Bestandteile aus dem Öl kann durch selektive Lösungsmittelbehandlung durchgeführt
werden, wobei als Verdünnungsmittel verflüssigte, normalerweise gasförmige Kohlenwasserstoffe,
wie Propan, Butan, und entsprechende Olefine und bzw. oder ihre Gemische sowie auch andere sauerstoffhaltige
flüssige organische Stoffe, wie Alkohole, Äther, Ester, Ketone, Aldehyde, Säuren und bzw. oder
ihre Gemische, verwendet werden können. Zu diesen gehören Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl-, Butyl-, Amylalkohol,
Methyl- oder Äthyl- oder Methyläthyläther, Acetone, Diäthyl-, Dimethyl- und Methylisobutylketon u. dgl.
Es können auch chlorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Tetrachlorkohlenstoff oder Trichloräthylen und Gemische
von chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen mit nichtchlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen der vorerwähnten Art
verwendet werden.
Die erste Arbeitsstufe zur Gewinnung paraffinischer Bestandteile aus Rohölen, z, B. Midcontinent-Rohöl,
besteht in der Behandlung dieses Rohöls mit etwa 6 Volumteilen flüssigem Propan zwecks Entfernung
des Asphalts. Das Propan aus der Propan-Öl-Lösung wird verdampft, so daß das Verhältnis von
Propan zu Öl auf etwa 2 : 1 verringert wird. Die Lösung wird dann auf etwa — 400 oder tiefer abgekühlt,
wodurch eine Abtrennung der Paraffine vom Öl erfolgt.
Die Paraffine können durch Filtration abgetrennt werden, und das Propan wird von dem entasphaltierten
und entparaffinierten Öl sowie paraffinischem Stoff durch Destillation abgetrennt.
Paraffinische Stoffe können auch aus den Destillatschmierölfraktionen
oder den Rückstandsschmierölfraktionen gewonnen werden, und diese Paraffinfraktionen
können durch Anwendung selektiver Lösungsmittel noch weiter in spezielle Paraffinteilmengen
zerlegt werden, welche gewünschte Eigenschaften aufweisen.' Diese Zerlegung beruht auf einem Unterschied
in der Löslichkeit verschiedener Paraffinfraktionen in einem bestimmten Lösungsmittel. Wenn man z. B.
ein Lösungsmittel von der Art des Methyläthylketons verwendet, können die aromatischen Bestandteile
entfernt werden, indem man das Gemisch stufenweise auf Temperaturen zwischen — 40 und — 60° abkühlt,
um so die Aromaten abzutrennen, welche im wesentlichen bei sinkender Temperatur im Lösungsmittel
gelöst bleiben, während die geradkettigen Paraffine und Isoparaffine in dem Lösungsmittel praktisch unlöslich
werden. Die geradkettigen Paraffine können von den Isoparaffinen durch Extraktion und fraktionierte
Kristallisation getrennt werden. Je nach der verwendeten Destillatfraktion können Paraffine mit 12 bis etwa
36 Kohlenstoffatomen und darüber erhalten werden.
Die vorstehend beschriebene Art von Paraffinen kann mit synthetischen Paraffinen vermischt werden,
welche durch Polymerisation von Olefinen unter Druck oder durch Dehydratisieren langkettiger fetter Alkohole,
wie Octadecylalkohol u. dgl., hergestellt worden sind. Mit den Paraffinen können kleinere Mengen
wachsartiger Stoffe vermischt sein, welche aus Quellen von nicht kohlenstoffartiger Natur stammen, wie
Wachse von Seetieren oder Landtieren, pflanzliche Wachse u. dgl., wofür als spezielle Beispiele Walrat,
Japanwachs, Karnaubawachs, Montanwachs, Zuckerrohrwachs, Baumwollwachs usw. und die oxydierten
Mischungen genannt werden können.
Anstatt die obengenannten flüssigen Kohlenwasserstoffe einer Entparaffinierung und einer Lösungsmittelextraktion
zu unterwerfen, um die oben beschriebenen Paraffine zu erhalten, können auch Rückstandsöle,
welche nach Abtrennung der Destillate zurückbleiben und die gewünschten paraffinischen Bestandteile
enthalten, verwendet werden. Diese Rück-Standsfraktionen brauchen keiner Lösungsmittelextraktion
oder Entparaffinierung unterworfen zu werden, müssen aber in der im folgenden Absatz beschriebenen
Weise oxydiert werden.
Das Paraffinmaterial und das dieses enthaltende no Gemisch können in jeder geeigneten Weise oxydiert
werden, z. B. durch Blasen mit einem oxydierenden Gas, wie Luft, mit Sauerstoff angereicherter Luft, reinem
Sauerstoff, mit inertem Gas verdünntem Sauerstoff u.dgl. Hauptsächlich kann das Paraffinmaterial durch
solche Maßnahmen oxydiert werden, wie sie in den amerikanischen Patentschriften 1 863 004, 2 043 923,
2 186 910 und 2 216 222 beschrieben sind. Gewünschtenfalls
können den oxydierten Produkten auch kleinere Mengen, die aber ein Drittel etwa nicht überschreiten
und vorzugsweise weniger, von nicht oxydierten paraffinischen Stoffen zugemischt werden.
Der andere Bestandteil des Grundgemisches ist ein Polymer eines ungesättigten Kohlenwasserstoffs, wie
ein mono- und bzw. oder polyolefinischer und bzw. oder acetylenischer Kohlenwasserstoff, der gewünschten-
falls polare Gruppen enthalten kann. Diese polymeren Stoffe haben ein ziemlich hohes Molgewicht, z. B.
über 300 und vorzugsweise über 1500 und können sogar innerhalb der Grenzen bis 5000 oder 10 000 oder sogar
höher, z. B. bis 100000 oder 500000 usw. liegen.
Diese olefinischen Produkte können verschiedener Herkunft sein und auf verschiedene Weise gewonnen
werden. So können Olefine erhalten werden durch Dehydrierung von Paraffinen, z. B. durch Spalten von
Paraffinen oder durch Abspaltung von Halogen aus Alkylhalogeniden u. dgl. Als olefinische Ausgangsstoffe
zur Herstellung solcher Polymere können auch einzelne Olefine oder Gemische aus Olefinen und nichtolefinischen
Kohlenwasserstoffen verwendet werden. Ausgangsstoffe können sein: Butylene, Amylene,
Raffinationsgase, welche normalerweise gasförmige Olefine enthalten, und Spaltdestillate oder andere
verhältnismäßig niedrig siedende Kohlenwasserstoffgemische, die normalerweise flüssige Olefine enthalten,
und Gemische aus normalerweise flüssigen Olefinen, die normalerweise gasförmige Olefine gelöst enthalten.
Es können Polymere verwendet werden, die sich aus der Behandlung von Monoolefinen, vorzugsweise Isomonoolefinen,
wie Isobutylen und Isoamylen, ergeben, und bzw. oder Mischpolymere, die erhalten werden durch
Polymerisation von Kohlenwasserstoffgemischen, wie Isoolefinen und normalen Olefinen. Die Polymerisation
dieser Olefine und ihrer Gemische kann durch Verwendung geeigneter Katalysatoren, z. B. vom Friedel-Crafts-Typ
u. dgl., erzielt werden.
Beispiele von Kohlenwasserstoffen mit einer aliphatischen ungesättigten Bindung, die beliebiger Herkunft
sein und zur Bildung der gewünschten Produkte nach vorliegender Erfindung verwendet werden
können, sind Äthylen, Propylen, Butylen-i, Butylen-2,
Isobutylen, die Amylene, Hexen-i, 4-Methylpenten-i,
4,4-Dimethylpenten-i, 4-Methylpenten-2, Octen-i,
Decen-i, Ceten-i, Styrol, Cyclohexen, 3-Methylcyclohexen,
1, 4-Diphenylbuten-2, Butadien-i, 3, Pentadien-i,
3, Pentadien-i, 4, Hexadien-i, 5, Hexadien-1,4,
Pentadecen-8, Heptadecen-i, Hexadecen-i, Tridecen-7,
Nonadecen-io, 3, g-Diäthyltridecen-ö, Dodecen-i,
Triaconten-14, Pentatriaconten-17, Olefine, die durch
Dehydratisierung hochmolekularer gesättigter Alkohole gewonnen werden usw., Acetylen, Propin, Butin-i,
Pentin-2, Hexin-i, Cetin-i, Octylacetylen, Phenylacetylen
usw. und ihre Homologen und Anologen.
Es können auch Mischpolymerisate aus Olefinen und anderen nichtaromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen verwendet
werden. Die Olefine, welche zur Bildung der Mischpolymerisate dieses Typs benutzt werden, umfassen
Isobutylen, 2-Methylbuteri-i, 2-Äthylbuten-i,
sekundäre und tertiäre Amylene, Hexylene u. dgl. Die anderen nichtaromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffe können
umfassen Butadien, Isopren, Cyclopentadien, 2, 3-D1-methylbutadien-i,
3, Pentadien-i, 3, Hexadien-2,4, die substituierten Diolefine, wie Diisobutenyl, die
Acetylene, wie Acetylen, Vinylacetylen u. dgl.
Die Mischpolymerisation wird vorzugsweise in An-Wesenheit eines Katalysators vom Friedel-Crafts-Typ
und in Anwesenheit eines geeigneten Verdünnungsmittels, wie verflüssigtes Äthylen, Propan U-. dgl.,
durchgeführt.
Die bei der Polymerisationsreaktion verwendeten Katalysatoren können beliebige Friedel-Crafts-Katalysatoren
sein, wie sie von Calloway in Chemical Review 17,327 (1925) zusammengestellt worden sind.
Die Polymerisation kann bei niederen Temperaturen, z. B. unter 0°, oder bei höheren Temperaturen, z. B.
über ioo°, durchgeführt werden. Zu den am meisten bevorzugten polymeren Stoffen, die sich zur Verwendung
in Zusammensetzungen gemäß vorliegender Erfindung eignen, gehören:
Molgewicht
Polyisobutylen 1 500 bis 5 000
Polyäthylen 1 000 bis 10 000
Polybutene 5 000 bis 6 000
Mischpolymer aus Isobutylen
und Äthylen r 500 bis 10 000
Mischpolymer aus Propylen
und Isobutylen 500 bis 10 000
Mischpolymer aus Butadien
und Isobutylen 15 000 bis 20 000
Die Mittel zur Verminderung der Reibung bzw. zur Erzielung der Öligkeit, welche einen wesentlichen Bestandteil
der Zusammensetzungen gemäß vorliegender Erfindung ausmachen, sind halogenhaltige organische
Verbindungen, wie halogenierte Paraffine, halogenierte, durch Spaltung von Paraffinen erzeugte Olefine,
halogenierte Fettsäuren mit mindestens 8 und vorzugsweise 12 bis 24 Kohlenstoffatomen im Molekül,
Ester dieser Fettsäuren u. dgl. Das Halogenatom oder die Halogenatome können Chlor, Brom, Fluor
und bzw. oder Jod sein. Besonders bevorzugte Mittel sind chlorierte Paraffine, chlorierte gespaltene Paraffine,
chloriertes Schwitzöl, chlorierte Olefine, C10 bis C24, chlorierter synthetischer Kautschuk,
Chlor-Brom-Paraffine, Dichlorstearinsäure, Dichlorölsäure, Dichlorstearinsäuremethylester, Dichlorstearinsäurebutylester,
Polybromstearinsäure, Polybromstearinsäuremethylester, Dichlorricinolsäuremethylester,
chlorierte Wachsester, z. B. Bienenwachs, Montanwachs u. dgl.
Sehr wertvolle Schmiermittel für die Metallbearbeitung, wie Walz- und Ziehschmiermittel, können
bei Anwendung der Bestandteile innerhalb der nachstehend angegebenen Bereiche hergestellt werden.

In Verbindung mit Zusammensetzungen gemäß
der Erfindung können gewünschtenfalls noch geringere Mengen, im allgemeinen weniger als ι %, von anderen
Zusatzstoffen verwendet werden, um die Zusammen-Setzungen zu verbessern. Solche Stoffe sind z. B.:
A. Hochmolekulare Fettsäuren, die sich von tierischen, pflanzlichen oder Seetierölen ableiten, z. B.:
i. Tierische Öle: Talg, Schweinefett, Knochenöl,
Klauenöl, Wollfett, Pferdefett usw.
ίο 2. Pflanzliche Öle: Rizinusöl, Acajouöl, Erdnußöl,
Kokosnußöl, Jojobaöl, Olivenöl, Olivenkernöl, Palmöl,
Palmkernöl, Maisöl, Baumwollsamenöl, Kapoköl, Rapsöl, Ravisonöl, Sesamöl, Sonnenblumenöl, Teesamenöl
usw.
3. Seetieröle: DorschÖl, Dorschleberöl, Haifischöl, Delphintran, Delphinöl, Heringsöl, Japfischöl, Menhadentran,
Meerschweintran und Meerschweinkopföl, Lachsöl, Sardinen- und Sardinenleberöl, Robbenöl,
Hai- und Haileberöl, Spermwalkörper- und -kopföl, Waltran usw.
B. Natürlich vorkommende Fettsäuren mit hohem Molgewicht:
1. Gesättigt: Caprinsäure, Undecylsäure, Laurinsäure,
Myristinsäure, Palmitinsäure, Stearinsäure, Arachinsäure, Lignocerinsäure, Cerotinsäure, Montansäure.
2. Ungesättigt: Ölsäure, Linolsäure, Erucasäure, Linolensäure, Brassidinsäure, Elaidinsäure usw.
3. Substituierte Fettsäuren: Ricinolsäure, Ricinolelaidinsäure, Oxystearinsäure usw.
C. Ester von beliebigen der vorgenannten Säuren mit ein- und mehrwertigen Alkoholen sowie andere
Arten von Estern, z. B.:
1. Glycerinmonooleat, Diglykolstearat, Di-2-äthylhexylazelat,
Phthalsäure- oder Bernsteinsäure-monondecylester, Octadecylstearat.
2. Ester von anorganischen Säuren, z. B. phosphathaltige Stoffe, wie Kephalin und Lecithin.
D. Schwefelhaltige Stoffe, z. B.: Dibenzyldisulfid, sulfuriertes Spermöl, sulfuriertes Baumwollsaatöl,
sulfurierte Fettsäuren, wie unter B. aufgeführt.
Walzschmiermittel nach der Erfindung sind gut geeignet als Rostverhinderer nach der Bearbeitung
der gewalzten Fläche.
Die Walzschmiermittel nach der Erfindung können den Walzen einer Blechwalzmaschine in beliebiger
Weise, z. B-. durch Sprühen, Auf tropf en od. dgl., zugeführt werden. Sie können vor dem Walzen oder
während des Walzens auf das Metallblech gebracht werden.
Zusammensetzungen nach der Erfindung sind nicht nur ausgezeichnete Walzschmiermittel, sondern können
auch als Ziehschmiermittel sowie als Schmiermittel beim Schmieden und Pressen und in zahlreichen
anderen Arbeitsgängen verwendet werden; bei welchen das Ziehen oder Bearbeiten von Metallen eine Schmierung
erforderlich macht.
Claims (10)
- PATENTANSPRÜCHE:i. Schmiermittel für die Metallbearbeitung, bestehend aus einem Grundgemisch aus einem überwiegenden Anteil an Paraffinen, die keine wesentlichen " Mengen an aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen enthalten, und einem kleineren Anteil eines Polymers aus einem Kohlenwasserstoff mit , einer aliphatischen ungesättigten Bindung und von weniger als 10 Gewichtsprozent einer halogenierten organischen- Verbindung,· berechnet auf das Gründgemisch.
- 2. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Paraffine 80 bis 95 Gewichtsprozent des Grundgemisches ausmachen.
- 3. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Polymer eines Kohlenwasserstoffes mit einer aliphatischen ungesättigten Bindung ein Polymerisat oder Mischpolymerisat aus einem oder mehreren monoolefinischen und bzw. oder polyolefinischen und bzw. oder acetylenischen Kohlenwasserstoffen ist.
- 4. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Paraffine ein oxydiertes, Paraffine enthaltendes Rückstandsöl sind.
- 5. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Paraffine n-Paraffine, Rückstandsweichparaffine, Ceresinwachs oder Petrolatum sind.
- 6. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Polymerisat aus einem Kohlenwasserstoff mit einer aliphatischen ungesättigten Bindung Polyäthen, Polybuten oder Polyisobuten ist.
- 7. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß diehalogenierteorganische Verbindung eine chlorierte organische Verbindung ist.
- 8. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die halogenierte organische Verbindung halogenierte Paraffine, halogenierte Fettsäuren mit mindestens 8 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Ester solcher sind.
- 9. Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die halogenierte organische Verbindung Dichlorstearinsäure oder Dichlorstearinsäuremethylester ist.
- 10.
