Description

  • Bekanntlich ist bei den sogenannten Schnecke pressen, die als Transport-, Knet- und Plastifizierungsorgan wirkende Schnecke nur einseitig an der Eintrittsseite gelagert. Diese Lagerung hat ein Unrundlaufen bzw. Schlagen der Schnecke zur Folge, denn eine zuverlässige, reibungsmindernde Lagerung ist nur dort vorhanden, wo das zu behandelnde Material in den Arbeitszylinder einfließt, während an alle übrigen Stellen der seitliche Druck meist durch Berührung der Außenflächen ihrer Gänge mit der Zylinderinnenwandung aufgenommen wird. Bei langen Schnecken wird sich dieser Umstand besonders unangenehm bemerkbar machen und die schon durch den normalen Arbeitsgang auftretenden, an sich beträchtlichen Reibungsstoffe noch um ein zusätzliches vermehren, wodurch wieder eine höhere Antriebskraft für die Maschine erforderlich wird.
  • Man hat bereits vorgeschlagen, am Austrittsende der Schnecke eine zweite Lagerung vorzusehen, die darin bestand, daß die Schnecke am Austrittsende abgesetzt war und das Lager selbst durch Kugeln oder Rollen gebildet wurde. Diese Art der Lagerung hat aber den Nachteil, daß zwischen Schneckenzapfen und Lagerinnenfläche nur eine punkt- bzw. linienförmige Berührung stattfindet, was zu raschem Verschleiß bzw. Pressen fühlen kann, weil sich Rollen und Kugeln infolge des durchgepreßten Kunststoffes nicht drehen werden, eine tSlschmierung aber nicht statthaft ist.
  • Diese Nachteile werden gemäß der Erfindung dadurch vermieden, daß das Lager der Austrittsseite mit axial verlaufenden Ausnehmungen, wie z. B.
  • Rillen, versehen ist. Durch diese Maßnahme wird einerseits das radiale Spiel der Preßschnecke gegenüber dem Zylindergehäuse eingehalten und andererseits auch dem plastifizierten Material die Möglichkeit gegeben, zwischen Welle und Lagerung durch die Ausnehmungen des zweiten Lagers auszutreten.
  • Diese Ausnehmungen bestehen zweckmäßig aus axial verlaufenden, halbkreisförmigen Profilrillen, die in gleichmäßigen Abständen in der Gleitfläche des Lagers angeordnet sind. Der zwischen den einzelnen Rillen verbleibende Zwischenraum ergibt eine ausreichende Lagerfläche, die trotz der entfallenden Schmiermöglichkeit eine längere Lebensdauer gewährleistet. Die axial verlaufenden Rillen bewirken einen zügigen Auslauf des plastifizierten Materials. Ferner erlaubt diese Art der Lagerung die Einhaltung des Spiels zwischen Preßschnecke und Zylinderinnenwandung.
  • In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß der Erfindung veranschaulicht, und zwar zeigt Abb. I einen Längsschnitt durch die Schnecke und Abb. 2 einen Schnitt nach der Linie A-A der Abb. I.
  • Hierbei bedeutet a das Schneckengehäuse, b die beiden Schnecken, c die zusätzlichen Lager, d die axialen Rillen.

Claims (1)

  1. PATENTANSPRUCH Strangpresse mit Preßschnecke für plastische Massen, bei der die Schnecke am Eintritts- und am Austrittsende des Schneckengehäuses gelagert ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das am Austrittsende liegende Lager mit axial verlaufenden Ausnehmungen, wie z. B. Rillen versehen ist.
