Description

    TECHNISCHES GEBIET
  • Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Versiegeln eines thermoplastbeschichteten Materials mit wenigstens einer Schicht aus einer Metallfolie, bevorzugt Aluminium, wobei die Vorrichtung einen Induktor aufweist, der mit einer Hochfrequenzstromquelle verbunden werden kann und im wesentlichen parallele, etwas voneinander beabstandete Leiter, einen Kern aus Magnetmaterial scwie einen elektrisch isolierenden Trägerabschnitt aufweist.
  • STAND DER TECHNIK
  • In der Verpackungsindustrie ist seit langem bekannt, Verpakkungsmaterialien mit äußeren Thermoplastschichten zu verwenden, die nach Erwärmung und Kompression miteinander durch Schmelzung versiegelt werden können, um dichte und haltbare Versiegelungsverbindungen oder -nähte zu bilden. Ein solches Material kann beispielsweise in Bahnform durch eine Füllmaschine zugeführt werden und zu einem Schlauch geformt werden, der mittels einer Überlappungsverbindung in Längsrichtung versiegelt wird. Dieser Materialschlauch wird mit dem gewünschten Inhalt gefüllt, woraufhin der Schlauch querversiegelt und abgetrennt wird, um einzelne Packungen zu bilden, die in einem späteren Stadium beispielsweise zu quaderförmigen Packungen oder Kartons fertig geformt werden.
  • Ein Verpackungsmaterial mit einer Metallfolie, bevorzugt einer Aluminiumfolie, wird idealerweise verwendet, wenn die Querversiegelungen durch sogenannte Induktionsversiegelung hergestellt werden. Eine Vorrichtung für eine solche Induktionsversiegelung ist in der schwedischen Patentschrift SE 451 973 offenbart und beschrieben. In diesem Fall wird in der Aluminiumschicht des Verpackungsmaterials ein Induktionsstrom induziert, der die angrenzend an die Aluminiumschicht angeordnete Thermoplastschicht derart erwärmt, daß sie mit einer entsprechenden Thermoplastschicht versiegelt werden kann.
  • Das oben beschriebene Verfahren zum Querversiegeln von Verpakkungsrohlingen nach der oben offenbarten Patentschrift hat sich jedoch für hochviskose Produkte sowie Produkte mit Teilchen wie Kernen, Fruchtsamen oder Fasern als ungeeignet erwiesen. Nach dem oben beschriebenen Verfahren werden zwei im wesentlichen parallele Querversiegelungen hergestellt, zwischen denen der Verpackungsschlauch getrennt wird, um einzelne Verpackungsrohlinge herzustellen. In diesem Fall werden Versiegelungsklappen oder -rippen erzeugt, die außerhalb der Querversiegelungen liegen und in denen sich Produktreste ansammeln können. Diese Produktreste können beim Lagern der Packung ein sehr unangenehmes und ungesundes Aussehen annehmen.
  • AUFGABE DER ERFINDUNG
  • Eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt darin, eine Vorrichtung zur Induktionsversiegelung herzustellen, die zur Verwendung mit Produkten geeignet ist, die hochviskos sind oder Teilchen wie Kerne, Fruchtsamen oder Fasern enthalten, und bei der die Querversiegelung der Packung derart hergestellt wird, daß keine Versiegelungsklappen oder -rippen erzeugt werden, wo sich Produktreste sammeln können.
  • LÖSUNG
  • Diese und weitere Aufgaben wurden nach der vorliegenden Erfindung dadurch gelst, daß die in der Einleitung beschriebene Vorrichtung das kennzeichnende Merkmal erhielt, nach dem die Zahl der Leiter drei beträgt, die derart angeordnet sind, daß die Stromdichte in den Leitern etwa gleich ist.
  • Bevorzugte Ausführungsformen der vorliegenden Erfindung erhielten ferner die in den beigefügten Unteransprüchen dargelegten kennzeichnenden Merkmale.
  • KURZE BESCHREIBUNG DER BEIGEFÜGTEN ZEICHNUNG
  • Nun wird eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung im einzelnen unter speziellem Bezug auf die beigefügte Zeichnung beschrieben; darin zeigen:
  • Fig. 1 einen Querschnitt durch einen Induktor; und
  • Fig. 2, wie das Verpackungsmaterial durch Verwendung eines Induktors nach der vorliegenden Erfindung versiegelt wird.
  • Die Zeichnung zeigt nur diejenigen Einzelheiten, die für das Verständnis der vorliegenden Erfindung wesentlich sind, wobei die Anordnung des Induktors in einer Füllmaschine (womit der Fachmann vertraut ist) ausgelassen ist.
  • BESCHREIBUNG DER BEVORZUGTEN AUSFÜHRUNGSFORM
  • In Fig. 1 ist ein Induktor 1 nach der Erfindung gezeigt. Der Induktor 1 weist drei im wesentlichen parallele Leiter 2, 3 auf, die in einer elektrisch leitenden Trägerschicht 4 angeordnet sind, die in ihrem Inneren einen Kern 5 aus einem Ferritmaterial aufnimmt. Der Kern 5 aus Ferritmaterial ist gegen die drei Leiter 2, 3 isoliert. Beide äußeren Leiter 2 weisen einen sanft abgerundeten Querschnitt oder alternativ einen quadratischen oder rechteckigen Querschnitt auf. Beide äußeren Leiter 2 nehmen im Inneren Kühlleitungen 6 auf, die für ein Kühlmittel bestimmt sind. Der zentrale Leiter 3 ist im wesentlichen U- förmig gestaltet. Jeder Leiter weist an seiner Oberseite 7 einen Wulst oder eine Rippe 14 auf, die etwa um 0,3 mm über die Umgebungsfläche 7 vorsteht.
  • Die drei Leiter 2 und 3 sind bevorzugt mit einer (nicht gezeigten) Hochfrequenzwechselstromquelle parallelgeschaltet. In einem solchen Fall läßt sich in dem zentralen Leiter 3 eine deutlich höhere Stromkraft erreichen; wegen der Ausgestaltung des zentralen Leiters 3 (mit dem nach oben offenen U) erhält man allerdings einen Induktor 1, dessen drei Leiter 2, 3 alle in etwa die gleiche Stromdichte an der Oberseite 7 aufweisen.
  • Der Induktor 1 nach der vorliegenden Erfindung kann auch in Reihe oder mittels eines Kondensators induktiv geschaltet sein.
  • Der Induktor 1 ist durch einen Stahlkörper 8 verstärkt, und der gesamte Induktor 1 ist in einer Versiegelungsbacke 9 angeordnet, der die gewünschte Versiegelungsbewegung verliehen werden kann und die den gewünschten Versiegelungsdruck ausüben kann. Die Versiegelungsbacke 9 ist so zu betreiben, daß sie sich zu einer ebenfalls beweglichen Gegenbacke 10 bewegt. Das quer zu versiegelnde Verpackungsmaterial 11 wird zwischen der Versiegelungsbacke 9 und der Gegenbacke 10 vorgeschoben. Das Verpakkungsmaterial 11 ist zwischen den beiden Backen 9 und 10 derart angeordnet, daß zwei Thermoplastschichten 12, die miteinander verschmolzen oder versiegelt werden sollen, zueinander orientiert sind.
  • Bewegen sich die beiden Versiegelungsbacken 9 und 10 zueinander und fangen dazwischen das Verpackungsmaterial 11, das querversiegelt werden soll, dann wird in drei im wesentlichen parallelen Versiegelungslinien eine Versiegelung erzeugt, wobei die mittlere die breiteste ist. Werden die beiden Versiegelungsbakken 9 und 10 zueinandergedrückt, dann üben die an den Leitern angeordneten Rippen 14 lokal eine etwas stärkere Druckkraft aus und tragen dazu bei, eine zuverlässigere und dichtere Versiegelung des Verpackungsmaterials 11 zu schaffen Das Verpackungsmaterial 11 soll in der mittleren Versiegelungsverbindung oder -naht dadurch zertrennt werden, daß sich ein in der beweglichen Gegenbacke 10 angeordnetes Messer 13 nach unten durch das Material 11 in die U-förmige Nut des zentralen Leiters 3 bewegt.
  • Nach dem Querversiegeln unter Verwendung eines Induktors 1 nach der vorliegenden Erfindung werden möglicherweise vorhandene Produktrückstände zwischen der Querversiegelung der äußeren Leiter 2 und der Querversiegelung des zentralen Leiters 3 eingeschlossen. Damit werden möglicherweise vorhandene Produktrückstände in einem Material eingeschlossen, das so aseptisch wie die restliche Packung ist; damit können die Behälter durchaus mit Produkten gefüllt werden, die beispielsweise Fasern, Fruchtsamen oder Kerne enthalten. Die an der zentralen Versiegelungsverbindung oder -naht abgetrennte Packung weist keine Versiegelungsrippe auf, wo sich Produkte sammeln können.
  • Aus der vorhergehenden Beschreibung wird deutlich, daß die vorliegende Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zum Querversiegeln von Verpackungsrohlingen realisiert, wobei beim Abtrennen der Verpakkungsrohlinge keine Versiegelungsrippe oder -klappe erzeugt wird. Damit läßt sich eine Querversiegelung erhalten, die gut zum Einfüllen von Produkten geeignet ist, die hochviskos sind oder Teilchen wie Fruchtsamen, Kerne oder Fasern enthalten.
  • Die vorliegende Erfindung sollte nicht als auf das oben Beschriebene und in den Zeichnungen Gezeigte begrenzt angesehen werden; viele Änderungen sind möglich, ohne den Umfang der beigefügten Ansprüche zu verlassen.

Claims (9)

1. Vorrichtung zum Versiegeln eines thermoplastbeschichteten Materials (11) mit wenigstens einer Schicht aus einer Metallfolie, bevorzugt Aluminium, wobei die Vorrichtung einen Induktor (1) aufweist, der mit einer Hochfrequenzstromquelle verbunden werden kann und im wesentlichen parallele, etwas voneinander beabstandete Leiter (2, 3), einen Kern (5) aus Magnetmaterial sowie einen elektrisch isolierenden Trägerabschnitt (4) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Zahl der Leiter (2, 3) drei beträgt, die derart angeordnet sind, daß die Stromdichte in den Leitern (2, 3) etwa gleich ist.
2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der mittlere (3) der drei Leiter (2, 3) mit einer im wesentlichen U-förmigen Nut versehen ist.
3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Leiter (2, 3) parallelgeschaltet sind.
4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Leiter (2, 3) in Reihe geschaltet sind.
5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Leiter (2, 3) induktiv verbunden sind.
6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Leiter (2, 3) mittels eines Kondensators induktiv geschaltet sind.
7. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Induktor (1) in einer Versiegelungsbacke (9) angeordnet ist, die dazu bestimmt ist, daß sie gegen eine Gegenbacke (10) gepreßt wird, während das zum Versiegeln bestimmte Material zwischen den Backen (9, 10) aufgenommen wird.
8. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Leiter (2, 3) in Längsrichtung leicht vorstehende Rippen (14) aufweisen, längs derer die Druckkraft gegen den zum Versiegeln bestimmten Abschnitt des Verpackungsmaterials (11) lokal verstärkt wird.
9. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Rippen (14) eine Höhe von etwa 0,3 mm aufweisen.
