Claims (10)

1. Ein Verfahren zur Entfernung von Schwermetallen aus wäßrigen Lösungen davon, die eines oder mehrere der Schwermetalle sowie konkurrierende Calcium- und/oder Magnesiumionen enthalten, welches das Inkontaktbringen der wäßrigen Lösung mit amorphen Gelen, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Titansilicaten und Zinnsilicaten, die durch ein Molverhältnis von Silicium zu Titan oder Zinn von 1 : 4 bis 1, 9 : 1 und ein Desorptionsporenvolumen von etwa 0,03 bis etwa 0,25 Kubikzentimeter pro Gramm gekennzeichnet sind, bis solche Schwermetalle im wesentlichen aus der wäßrigen Lösung entfernt sind, umfaßt.
2. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das amorphe Gel Titansilicat ist.
3. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das amorphe Gel Zinnsilicat ist.
4. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, bei dem die Schwermetalle ausgewählt sind aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Blei, Cadmium, Zink, Chrom, Arsen und Quecksilber.
5. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, bei dem die Schwermetalle ausgewählt sind aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Blei, Cadmium, Zink, Chrom, Arsen und Quecksilber.
6. Ein Verfahren zur Entfernung von Schwermetallen aus wäßrigen Lösungen davon, die eines oder mehrere der Schwermetalle sowie konkurrierende Calcium- und/oder Magnesiumionen enthalten, welches das Inkontaktbringen der wäßrigen Lösung mit einem amorphen Titansilicat- oder Zinnsilicatgel, hergestellt durch die Umsetzung einer Natriumsilicatlösung, welche eine Konzentration zwischen 0,05 und 1, 4 molar hat, mit einer 0,3-3,5 molaren Lösung eines Titan- oder Zinnsalzes bei einem pH- Wert von etwa 4 bis 9, um das amorphe Gel zu bilden, Altern des Gels, Waschen und Trocknen des Gels, und Fortsetzen des Kontakts mit der wäßrigen Schwermetallösung, bis solche Schwermetalle im wesentlichen aus der wäßrigen Lösung entfernt sind, umfaßt.
7. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, bei dem der pH-Wert 7 bis 8 ist.
8. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 7, bei dem das Gel etwa 24 Stunden und nicht länger als 96 Stunden gealtert wird.
9. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 8, bei dem das amorphe Gel Titansilicat ist.
10. Das Verfahren nach Anspruch 8, bei dem das amorphe Gel Zinnsilicat ist.
