Description
- Diese Erfindung betrifft einen Katalysator für die Polymerisation von Olefinen.
- Bei der polymerisation von Olefinen ist es wichtig zu verhindern, daß das dabei entstehende Polymer bricht. Zu diesem Zweck wurde im allgemeinen durch ein geeignetes Verfahren eine Behandlung zur Verstärkung der Festigkeit der Katalysatorkörner selbst durchgeführt. Ein typisches solches Verfahren ist eine vorausgehende Polymerisationsbehandlung der Katalysatorkomponente.
- Bei dieser Behandlung wird ein Olefin in einer kleinen Menge in Gegenwart der Katalysatorkomponente und einer organischen Aluminiumverbindung polymerisiert, ehe die Katalysatorkomponente der Polymerisation des Olefins unterzogen und das dabei entstehende Polymer dadurch in die Katalysatorkomponente inkorporiert wird. Wenn die vorherige Polymerisationsbehandlung jedoch auf dem sogenannten Katalysator vom Magnesiumträgertyp durchgeführt wird, sinkt die Katalysatoraktivität nach längerer Lagerung erheblich.
- Um die Verschlechterung des Katalysators zu verhindern, hat man ein Verfahren eingesetzt, bei dem der Katalysator nach vorheriger Polymerisationsbehandlung mit einer großen Menge eines organischen Lösungsinittels gewaschen wird, doch seine Wirkung ist nicht ausreichend.
- In jüngerer Vergangenheit ist vorgeschlagen worden, den magnesiumhaltigen Feststoff einer Polymersationsbehandlung zu unterziehen, ehe eine Titankomponente darauf geträgert wird. Dadurch wird die Verschlechterung des Katalysators verhindert (Japanische OS Nr. 89508 bis 89511 / 1988). Jedoch bestehen die in diesen Veröffentlichungen beschriebenen Katalysatorkomponenten aus Kombinationen partikulärer Verbindungen und können keine hohe katalytische Aktivität aufweisen.
- Die Erfinder haben bisher eine Katalysatorkomponente für die Polymerisation von Olefinen vorgeschlagen, die man dadurch erhält, daß man metallisches Magnesium, halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe und eine durch die allgemeine Formel XnM(OR)m-n dargestellte Verbindung miteinander in Kontakt bringt, um einen Feststoff zu erhalten, und den dabei entstehenden Feststoff erst mit einem halogenhaltigen Alkohol und dann mit einer Elektronendonorverbindung und einer Titanverbindung in Kontakt bringt (Japanische OS Nr. 264607/1988) in Kontakt bringt. Diese Katalysatorkomponente hat eine für die praktische Anwendung ausreichende polymerisationskapazität und ergibt Polymere, die zwar über ausgezeichnete Korneigenschaften verfügen, sich jedoch während der Lagerung verschlechtern.
- Wie die Erfinder festgestellt haben, ist es wirksam, die vorstehend beschriebene Katalysatorkomponente während ihrer Herstellung vor dem Kontakt mit einem halogenhaltigen Alkohol mit Titanalkoxid in Kontakt zu bringen und sie dann in Gegenwart einer organischen Aluminiumverbindung mit einem Olefin in Kontakt zu bringen. Auf diese Erkenntnis gründet sich die Erfindung.
- Es ist deshalb eine Aufgabe der Erfindung, eine Katalysatorkomponente vom Magnesiumträgertyp zur Verfügung zu stellen, die über hohe katalytische Aktivität sowie eine verbesserte, für die praktische Anwendung ausreichende katalytische Korngröße verfügt und selbst bei längerer Lagerung nicht schlechter wird.
- Diese Aufgabe kann effektiv durch eine Katalysatorkomponente gelöst werden, die durch In-Kontakt-bringen von
- (a) metallischem Magnesium und
- (b) einem Kohlenwasserstoff der allgemeinen Formel RX, in der R eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen und X ein Halogenatom darstellt,
- anschließendes ln-Kontakt-bringen mit
- (c) einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel X¹nM(OR¹)m-n, in der X¹ ein Wasserstoffatom, ein Halogenatom oder eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen, M ein Bor-, Kohlenstoff-, Aluminium-, Silicium- oder Phosphoratom und R¹ ein Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen ist und m die Atomvalenz von M bedeutet und m > n ≥ 0 gilt,
- und
- (d) einem Titanalkoxid der allgemeinen Formel Ti(OR²)&sub4;, in der R² einen Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt
- und danach In-Kontakt-bringen des daraus resultierenden Feststoffs mit (e) einem Olefin in Anwesenheit (f) einer organischen Aluminiumverbindung und anschließend mit (g) einem halogenhaltigen Alkohol und weiter mit (h) einein Elektronendonor und (i) einer Titanverbindung erhalten wird.
- Fig. 1 ist ein Fließdiagramm, das das Verfahren zur Herstellung des erfindungsgemäßen Katalysators zeigt.
- Zur Herstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Trägers werden folgende Rohmaterialien verwendet:
- Dazu kann jedes metallisches Magnesium verwendet werden, besonders geeignet sind jedoch pulverisierte und zerkleinerte Arten. Vor der Verwendung werden diese metallischen Magnesiumarten vorzugsweise mit einem inerten Kohlenwasserstoff wie gesättigten aliphatischen, alicyclischen oder aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen mit 6 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen gewaschen und in Gegenwart eines inerten Gases wie Stickstoff erhitzt und getrocknet.
- In den durch die allgemeine Formel RX ausgedrückten halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoffen ist RX vorzugsweise ein chlorierter oder bromierter Kohlenwasserstoff einer Alkyl-, Aryl- oder Cycloalkylgruppe mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen. Beispiele für einen solchen halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoff sind Methyl-, Ethyl-, Isopropyl-, n- Butyl-, n-Octyl- und Cyclohexylchloride und -bromide, Chlorbenzol und o-Chlortoluol.
- In dieser Formel haben M, X¹, R¹, m und n die gleiche Bedeutung wie vorstehend beschrieben. X¹ kann eine mit Halogen substituierte Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen sein. Wenn X¹ eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe ist, können X¹ und R¹ gleich oder verschieden sein. Im folgenden wird die Verbindung der obigen allgemeinen Formel einfach als Alkoxyverbindung bezeichnet.
- Beispiele für den Kohlenwasserstoff sind Alkylgruppen wie Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl, i-Propyl, Butyl, Amyl, Hexyl, Octyl, 2-Ethylhexyl, Decyl usw., Cycloalkylgruppen wie Cyclopentyl, Cyclohexyl, Methylcyclohexyl, usw., Alkenylgruppen wie Allyl, Propenyl, Butenyl usw., Arylgruppen wie Phenyl, Toluyl, Xylyl usw. und Aralkylgruppen wie Phenethyl, 3-Phenylpropyl usw. Vor allem bevorzugt werden Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen. Nachstehend werden Beispiele der Alkoxygruppe aufgeführt.
- (1) Verbindung, wo M Kohlenstoff ist

- In der durch die vorstehende allgemeine Formel dargestellten Verbindung ist R² vorzugsweise eine Alkyl-, Aryl- oder Cycloalkylgruppe mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen. Beispiele für R² sind Alkylgruppen wie Methyl, Ethyl, i-Propyl, n-Propyl, i-Butyl, n-Butyl, t-Butyl, n-Hexyl, n-Octyl usw., Arylgruppen wie Phenyl, Toluyl, usw. und Cycloalkylgruppen wie Cyclohexyl usw.
- Als Organoaluminiumverbindung verwendet man solche der allgemeinen Formel RnAlX3-n, in der R eine Alkyl- oder Arylgruppe, x ein Halogenatom, eine Alkoxygruppe oder ein Wasserstoffatom und n eine beliebige Zahl im Bereich von 1 ≤ n ≤ 3 ist, z.B. Alkylaluminiumverbindungen mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen, bevorzugt 2 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen wie Trialkylaluminium, Dialkylaluminiummonohalogenid, Monoalkylaluminiumdihalogenid, Alkylaluminiumsesquihalogenid und Dialkylaluminiummonoalkoxid, Mischungen oder komplexe Verbindungen davon. Insbesondere kommen Trialkylaluminiumarten in Frage, wie z.B. Trimethylaluminium, Triethylaluminium, Tripropylaluminium, Triisobutylaluminium, Trihexylaluminium usw., Dialkylaluminiummonohalogenide wie Dimethylaluminiumchlorid, Diethylaluminiumchlorid, Diethylaluminiumbromid, Diethylaluminiumiodid, Diisobutylaluminiumchlorid usw., Monoalkylaluminiumdihalogenide wie Methylaluminiumdichlorid, Ethylaluminiumdichlorid, Methylaluminiumdibromid, Ethylaluminiumdibromid, Ethylaluminiumdiiodid, Isobutylaluminiumdichlorid usw., Alkylaluminiumsesquihalogenide wie Ethylaluminiumsesguichlorid usw., Dialkylaluminiummonoalkoxide wie Dimethylaluminiuminethoxid, Diethylaluminiumethoxid, Diethylaluminiumphenoxid, Dipropylaluminiumethoxid, Diisobutylaluminiumethoxid, Diisobutylaluminiumphenoxid usw. und Dialkylaluininiumhydride wie Dimethylaluminiumhydrid, Diethylaluminiumhydrid, Dipropylaluminiumhydrid, Diisobutylaluminiumhydrid usw. Vor allem Diethylaluminiumchlorid und Diisobutylaluminiumchlorid werden bevorzugt.
- Darüber hinaus kann eine organische Verbindung verwendet werden, in der zwei oder mehrere Aluminiuingruppen durch ein Sauerstoff- oder Stickstoffatom miteinander verbunden sind. Beispiele dafür sind
- (C&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub2;AlOAl(C&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub2;, (C&sub4;H&sub9;)&sub2;AlOAl(C&sub4;H&sub9;)&sub2; sowie
- Als Olefin verwendet man Monoolefine mit 1 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen, z.B. Ethylen, Propylen, But-1-en, 4- Methylpen-1-en und Hex-1-en.
- Der in der Erfindung verwendete halogenhaltige Alkohol bedeutet eine Verbindung der Art, daß in einem Alkohol mit einer oder mehreren Hydroxylgruppen in einem Molekül beliebige oder alle Wasserstoffatome mit Ausnahme der Hydroxylgruppen durch Halogenatome substituiert werden. Als Halogenatom können Chlor-, Brom-, Iod- und Fluoratome verwendet werden, aber Chloratome werden bevorzugt.
- Beispiele für diese Verbindungen sind 2-Chlorethanol, 1-Chlor-2-propanol, 3-Chlor-1-propanol, 1-Chlor-2-methyl-2-propanol, 4-Chlor-1-butanol, 5-Chlor-1-pentanol, 6-Chlor-1-hexanol, 3-Chlor-1,2-propandiol, 2-Chlorcyclohexanol, 4-Chlorbenzhydrol, (m,o,p)-Chlorbenzylalkohol, 4-Chlorcatechin, 4-Chlor-(m,o)-cresol,6- Chlor-(m,o)-cresol, 4-Chlor-3,5-dimethylphenol, Chlorhydrochinon, 2-Benzyl-4-Chlorphenol, 4-Chlor-1-naphthol,(m,o,p)-Chlorphenol, p-Chlor-α-methylbenzylalkohol, 2-Chlor-4-phenylphenyl, 6-Chlorthymol, 4-Chlorresorcinol, 2-Bromethanol, 3-Brom-1-propanol, 1-Brom-2- propanol, 1-Brom-2-butanol, 2-Brom-p-cresol, 1-Brom-2- naphthol, 6-Brom-2-naphthol, (m,o,p)-Bromphenol,4- Brombresorcinol, (m,o,p)-Chlorphenol, p-Iodphenol,2,2- Dichlorethanol, 2,3-Dichlor-1-propanol, 1,3-Dichlor-2- propanol, 3-Chlor-1-(α-chlormethyl)-1-propanol, 2,3- Dibrom-1-propanol, 1,3-Dibrom-2-propanol, 2,4-Dibromphenol, 2,4-Dibrom-1-naphthol, 2,2,2,-Trichlorethanol, 1,1,1-Trichlor-2-propanol, β,β,β-Trichlor-tert-butanol, 2,3,4-Trichlorphenol, 2,4,5-Trichlorphenol, 2,4,6-Trichlorphenol, 2,4,6-Tribromphenol, 2,3,5-Tribrom-2-hydroxytoluol, 2,3,5-Tribrom-4-hydroxytoluol, 2,2,2-Trifluorethanol, α,α,α-Trifluor-m-cresol, 2,4,6-Tridiodphenol, 2,3,4,6-Tetrachlorphenol, Tetrachlorhydrochinon, Tetrachlorbisphenol A, Tetrabrombisphenol A, 2,2,3,3-Tetrafluor-1-propanol, 2,3,5,6-Tetrafluorphenol und Tetrafluorresorcinol
- Als Elektronendonorverbindung kommen Carbonsäuren, Carbonsäureanhydrid, Carbonsäureester, Carbonsäurehalogenide, Alkohole, Ether, Ketone, Amine, Amide, Nitrile, Aldehyde, Alkoholate, Phosphor, Arsen und Antimonverbindungen, die durch Kohlenstoff oder Sauerstoff mit organischen Gruppen verbunden sind, Sulfonamide, Thioether, Thioester, Carbonsäureester u.ä. in Frage.
- Beispiele für die Carbonsäure sind aliphatische Monocarbonsäuren wie Ameisensäure, Essigsäure, Propionsäure, Buttersäure, Isobutylsäure, Valeriansäure, Hexansäure, Pivalinsäure, Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure u.ä.; aliphatische Dicarbonsäuren wie Malonsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Glutarsäure, Adipinsäure, Sebacinsäure, Maleinsäure, Fumarsäure u.ä.; aliphatische Oxycarbonsäuren wie Weinsäure; alicyclische Carbonsäuren wie Cyclohexanmonocarbonsäure, Cyclohexenmonocarbonsäure, cis-1,2-Cyclohexandicarbonsäure, cis-4-Methylcyclohexen-1,2-dicarbonsäure u. ä.; aromatische Carbonsäuren wie Benzoesäure, Toluylsäure, Anissäure, p-tert-Butylbenzoesäure, Naphthoesäure, gewöhnliche Zimtsäure u.ä.; sowie aromatische polybasische Carbonsäuren wie Phthalsäure, Isophthalsäure, Terephthalsäure, Naphthalsäure, Trimellithsäure, Hemimellithsäure, Trimesinsäure, Pyromellithsäure, Mellithsäure u.ä.
- Als Carbonsäureanhydrid kann man die Anhydride der vorstehend beschriebenen Carbonsäuren verwenden.
- Als Carbonsäureester kann man die ein- oder mehrwertigen Ester der vorstehend beschriebenen Carbonsäuren verwenden. Beispielhaft dafür sind Butylformat, Ethylacetat, Butylacetat, Isobutylisobutyrat, Propylpivalat, lsobutylpivalat, Ethylacrylat, Methylmethacrylat, Ethylmethacrylat, Isobutylmethacrylat, Diethylmalonat, Diisobutylmalonat, Diethylsuccinat, Dibutylsuccinat, Diisobutylsuccinat, Diethylglutarat, Dibutylglutarat, Diisobutylglutarat, Diisobutyladipat, Dibutylsebacat, Diisobutylsebacat, Diethylmaleat, Dibutylmaleat, Diisobutylmaleat, Monomethylfumarat, Diethylfumarat, Diisobutylfumarat, Diethyltartarat, Dibutyltartarat, Diisobutyltartarat, Ethylhexancarboxylat, Methylbenzoat, Ethylbenzoat, Methyl-p-toluilat, Ethyl-p-tert-butylbenzoat, Ethyl-p-anisat, Ethyl-α-naphthoat, Isobutyl-α- naphthoat, Ethylcinnamat, Monomethylphthalat, Dibutylphthalat, Diisobutylphthalat, Dihexylphthalt, Dioctylphthalat, Di-2-ethylhexylphthalat, Diallylphthalat, Diphenylphthalat, Diethylisophthalat, Diisobutylisophthalat, Diethylterephthalat, Dibutylterephthalat, Diethylnaphthalat, Dibutylnaphthalat, Triethyltrimellitat, Tributyltrimellitat, Tetramethylpyromellitat, Tetraethylpyromellitat, Tetrabutylpyromellitat u. ä.
- Als Carbonsäurehalogenid kann man Säurehalogenide der vorstehend aufgeführten Carbonsäuren verwenden. Beispiele dafür sind Acetylchlorid, Acetylbromid, Acetyliodid Propionylchlorid, Butyrylchlorid, Butyrylbromid, Butyryliodid, Pivalylchlorid, Pivalylbromid, Acrylylchlorid, Acrylylbromid, Acrylyliodid, Methacryloylchlorid, Methacryloylbromid, Methacrylyliodid, Crotonylchlorid, Malonylchlorid, Malonylbromid, Succinylchlorid, Succinylbromid, Glutarylchlorid, Glutarylbromid, Adipylchlorid, Adipylbromid, Sebacoylchlorid, Sebacoylbromid, Maleoylchlorid, Maleoylbromid, Fumarylchlorid, Fumarylbromid, Tartarylchlorid, Tartarylbromid, Cyclohexancarbonsäurechlorid, Cyclohexancarbonsäurebromid, 1-Cyclohexencarbonsäurechlorid, cis-4-Methylcyclohexencarbonsäurechlorid, cis-4-Methylcyclohexencarbonsäurebromid, Benzoylchlorid, Benzoylbromid, p-Toluolychlorid, p-Toluoylbromid, p-Anisoylchlorid, α-Naphthoylchlorid, Cinnamoylchlorid, Cinnamoylbromid, Phthaloyldichlorid, Pphthaloylbromid, Isophthaloyldichlorid, Isophthaloyldibromid, Terephthaloyldichlorid, Naphthaloyldichlorid u.ä. Monoalkylhalogenide von Dicarbonsäuren können ebenfalls verwendet werden, z.B. Monomethylchlorid, Maleoylmonoethylchlorid, Pphthaloylbutylchlorid
- Alkohole werden durch die allgemeine Formel ROH dargestellt. Darin ist R eine Alkyl- Alkenyl-, Cycloalkyl-, Aryl- oder Aralkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen. Beispiele der Alkohole sind Methanol, Ethanol, Propanol, Isopropanol, Butanol, Isobutanol, Pentanol, Hexanol, Octanol, 2-Ethylhexanol, Cyclohexanol, Benzylalkohol, Allylalkohol, Phenol, Cresol, Xylenol, Ethylphenol, Isopropylphenol, p-tert-Butylphenol, n- Octylphenol u.ä.
- Ether werden durch die allgemeine Formel ROR¹ dargestellt. Darin sind R und R¹ Alkyl-, Alkenyl-, Cycloalkyl-, Aryl- und Aralkylgruppen mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen, wobei R und R¹ gleich oder verschieden sein können. Beispiele für die Ether sind Diethylether, Diisopropylether, Dibutylether, Diisobutylether, Diisoamylether, Di-2-ethylhexylether, Diallylether, Ethylallylether, Butylallylether, Diphenylether, Anisol, Ethylphenylether u.ä. Auch jede Verbindung der vorstehenden halogenhaltigen Alkohole kann verwendet werden.
- Die Titanverbindungen sind zwei-, drei- und vierwertig. Beispiele dafür sind Titantetrachlorid, Titantetrabromid, Trichlorethoxytitan, Trichlorbutoxytitan, Dichlordiethoxytitan, Dichlordibutoxytitan, Dichlordiphenoxytitan, Chlortriethoxytitan, Chlortributoxytitan, Tetrabutoxytitan, Titantrichlorid u.ä. Vor allem vierwertige Titanhalogenide wie Titantetrachlorid, Trichlorethoxytitan, Dichlordibutoxytitan, Dichlordiphenoxytitan usw. werden bevorzugt. Am meisten bevorzugt wird Titantetrachlorid.
- Die Katalysatorkomponente wird wie folgt hergestellt:
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Katalysatoren können dadurch hergestellt werden, daß man metallisches Magnesium und den halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoff miteinander in Kontakt bringt. Dann bringt man diese mit der Alkoxyverbindung und Titanalkoxid in Kontakt, um einen Feststoff zu erhalten. Dieser wiederum wird in Gegenwart einer Aluminiumverbindung erst mit einem Olefin und dann mit der Elektronendonorverbindung und der Titanverbindung in Kontakt gebracht.
- Der Kontakt dieser beiden Substanzen kann in Gegenwart eines inerten Kohlenwasserstoffs herbeigeführt werden, z.B. eines aliphatischen, alicyclischen oder aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffs mit 6 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen. Bevorzugt erfolgt er jedoch in Gegenwart eines Ethers, um die Reaktion effektiver zum Abschluß zu bringen. Als Ether kann man Diethylether, Diisopropylether, Dibutylether, Diisobutylether, Diisoamylether, Di-2-ethylhexylether, Diallylether, Diphenylether, Anisol u.ä. verwenden
- Um die Reaktion zu beschleunigen, kann man Iod, Alkyliodide oder anorganische Halogenide wie Calciumchlorid, Kupferchlorid, Manganchlorid, Wasserstoffhalogenide u.ä. verwenden.
- Die Kontaktreaktion erfolgt dadurch, daß man die Substanzen bei einer Kontakttemperatur von 0 bis 250ºC, vorzugsweise 30 bis 120ºC, und einer Kontaktzeit von 0,5 bis 10 Stunden rührt. Der Kontakt der beiden Substanzen wird bevorzugt unter Verwendung des halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoffs in einem Verhältnis von 1 bis 2 Mol pro 1 Grammatom des metallischen Magnesiums durchgeführt.
- Der Kontakt des im vorstehend beschriebenen Schritt (1) erhaltenen Kontaktprodukts mit der Alkoxyverbindung und dem Titanalkoxid kann dadurch erfolgen, daß man es zuerst mit der Alkoxyverbindung und dann mit Titanalkoxid in Kontakt bringt. Man kann den Kontakt mit der Alkoxyverbindung und dem Titanalkoxid auch gleichzeitig durchführen.
- Der Kontakt des Kontaktprodukts mit der Alkoxyverbindung und dem Titanalkoxid erfolgt vorzugsweise in Gegenwart eines inerten Kohlenwasserstoffs und/oder Ethers wie im vorstehenden Schritt (1). Die Kontaktbedingungen sind ähnlich wie in Schritt (1). Die Menge der zu verwendenden Alkoxyverbindung wird bevorzugt so gewählt, daß OR' in der Alkoxyverbindung mindestens 1 pro 1 Atom des in Schritt (1) verwendeten metallischen Magnesiums beträgt, insbesondere 3 bis 5. Im Falle der durch X¹&sub2;C(OR¹)&sub2; dargestellten Alkoxyverbindung macht die Alkoxyverbindung mindestens 0,5 Mol, insbesondere 1,5 bis 2,5 Mol pro 1 Grammatom des Magnesiums aus. Im Falle der durch X¹C(OR¹)&sub3; dargestellten Alkoxyverbindung inacht die Alkoxyverbindung vorzugsweise mindestens 1/3 Mol, insbesondere 1 bis 5/3 Mol aus. Das Titanalkoxid liegt im allgemeinen in einem Verhältnis von 0,01 bis 0,5 Mol, bevorzugt 0,02 bis 0,1 Mol pro 1 Mol der Alkoxyverbindung vor.
- Auf diese Weise erhält man einen Feststoff (Feststoff 1), der mit einem geeigneten Detergenz, z.B. dem vorstehenden inerten Kohlenwasserstoff, gewaschen und, falls notwendig, getrocknet werden kann, ehe er anschließend mit dem Olefin in Kontakt gebracht wird.
- Der Kontakt mit dem Olefin erfolgt in Gegenwart der vorstehenden Organoaluminiumverbindung. Der Kontakt mit dem Olefin (der nachstehend als "vorausgehende Polymerisation" bezeichnet wird), wird vorzugsweise in einem inerten Kohlenwasserstoff durchgeführt. Beispiele für die inerten Kohlenwasserstoffe sind aliphatische, alicyclische und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Propan, Butan, Pentan, Hexan, Heptan, Octan, Decan, Kerosin, Cyclohexan, Benzol, Toluol, Xylol u.ä.
- Wenn die vorausgehende Polymerisation in einem inerten Kohlenwasserstoff durchgeführt wird, liegt der Feststoff 1 vorzugsweise in einem Verhältnis von 0,01 bis 500 g, insbesondere 0,1 bis 50 g pro 1000 ml des Kohlenwasserstoffs vor. Die Organoaluminiumverbindung liegt im allgemeinen in einem Atomverhältnis von Aluminium zu Titan von 0,01 zu 500 vor; die vorausgehende Polymerisation wird im allgemeinen bei einer Temperatur von höchstens 80ºC, bevorzugt -10ºC bis + 50ºC, durchgeführt. Üblicherweise erfolgt die vorausgehende Polymerisation in Gegenwart eines Regulators des Molekulargewichts wie Wasserstoff sowie in Gegenwart anderer Olefine, wenn deren Menge 5 Mol-% oder weniger beträgt.
- Die vorausgehende Polymerisation wird in Gegenwart der Organoaluminiumverbindung durchgeführt. Dabei kann gleichzeitig die Elektronendonorverbindung anwesend sein. Als Elektronendonorverbindung kann man jede der vorstehend aufgeführten, für die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Katalysatorkomponente verwendeten Elektronendonorverbindungen verwenden. Zum Einsatz kommen können auch andere, organische Siliciumverbindungen enthaltende Elektronendonorverbindungen oder solche, die Heteroatome wie Stickstoff, Sshwefel, Sauerstoff, Phosphor enthalten.
- Beispiele für die Organosiliciumverbindung sind Tetra- Tnethoxysilan, Tetraethoxysilan, Tetrabutoxysilan, Tetraisobutoxysilan, Tetraphenoxysilan, Tetra(p-methylphenoxy)silan, Tetrabenzyloxysilan, Methyltrimethoxysilan, Methyltriethoxysilan, Methyltributxoysilan, Methyltriphenoxysilan, Ethyltriethoxysilan, Ethyltriisobutoxysilan, Ethyltriphenoxysilan, Butyltrimethoxysilan, Butyltriethoxysilan, Butyltributoxysilan, Butyltriphenoxysilan, Isobutyltriisobutosysilan, Vinyltriethoxysilan, Allyltrimethoxysilan, Phenyltrimethoxysilan, Phenyltriethoxysilan, Benzyltriphenoxysilan, Methyltriallyloxysilan, Dimethyldimethoxysilan, Dimethyldiethoxysilan, Dimethyldiisopropoxysilan, Dimethyldibutoxysilan, Dimethyldihexyloxysilan, Dimethyldiphenoxysilan, Diethyldiethoxysilan, Diethyldiisobutoxysilan, Diethyldiphenoxysilan, Dibutyldiisopropoxysilan, Dibutyldibutoxysilan, Dibutyldiphenoxysilan, Diisobutyldiethoxysilan, Diisobutyliisobutoxysilan, Diphenyldimethoxysilan, Diphenyldiethoxysilan, Diphenyldibutoxysilan, Dibenzyldiethoxysilan, Divinyldiphenoxysilan, Diallyldipropoxysilan, Diphenyldiallylsilan, Methylphenyldimethoxysilan, Chlorphenyldiethoxysilan u.ä.
- Beispiele für die Heteroatome enthaltende Elektronendonorverbindung sind Verbindungen mit Stickstoffatoinen, wie z.B. 2,2,6,6-Tetramethylpiperidin, 2,6-Dimethylpiperidin, 2,6-Diethylpiperidin, 2,6-Diisopropylpiperidin, 2,2,5,5-Tetramethylpyrollidin, 2,5-Dimethylpyrrolidin, 2,5-Diethylpyrrolidin, 2,5-Diisopropylpyrrolidin, 2-Methylpyridin, 3-Methylpyridin, 4-Methylpyridin, 1,2,4-Trimethylpiperidin, 2,5-Dimethylpiperidin, Methylnicotinat, Ethylnicotinat, Nicotinamid, Benzoeamid, 2-Methylpyrrol, 2,5-Dimethylpyrrol, Imidazol, Touluylamid, Benzonitril, Acetonitril, Anilin, p-Toluidin, o-Toluidin, m-Toluodin, Triethylamin, Diethylamin, Dibutylamin, Tetramethylendiamin, Tributylamin u.ä., Verbindungen, die Schwefelatome enthalten, wie Thiophenol, Thiophen, Ethyl-2-thiophencarboxylat, Ethyl-3- thiophencarboxylat, 2-Methylthiophen, Methylmercaptan, Ethylmercaptan, Isopropylmercaptan, Butylmercaptan, Diethylthioether, Diphenylthioether, Methylbenzolsulfonat, Methylsulfit, Ethylsulfit u.ä., Verbindungen mit Sauerstoffatomen wie Tetrahydrofuran, 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran, 3-Methyltetrahydrofuran, 2-Ethyltetrahydrofuran, Dioxan, Dimethylether, Diethylether, Dibutylether, Diisoamylether, Diphenylether, Anisol, Acetophenon, Aceton, Methylethylketon, Acetylaceton, Ethyl-2- furalat, Isoamyl-2-furalat, Methyl-2-furalat, Propyl-2- furalat u.ä. sowie Verbindungen mit Phosphoratomen wie Triphenylphosphin, Tributylphosphin, Triphenylphosphit, Tribenzylphosphit, Diethylphosphat, Diphenylphosphat u.ä.
- Wenn man die Elektronendonorverbindung zusammen mit der Organoaluminiumverbindung verwendet, werden diese Verbindungen im allgemeinen in einem Verhältnis von Aluminium (Grammatom) zur Elektronendonorverbindung von 0,1 zu 100, vorzugsweise 0,5 zu 50 eingesetzt.
- Auf diese Weise wird ein Polyolefin gebildet und in den Feststoff 1 eingebracht. Die vorausgehende Polymerisation erfolgt vorzugsweise so, daß der Gehalt des Polyolefins in Feststoff 1 0,05 bis 100 g, vorzugsweise 0,1 bis 50 g und besonders bevorzugt 0,2 bis 20 g pro 1 g des Feststoffs 1 beträgt.
- Der so erhaltene, polyolefinhaltige Feststoff wird dann mit dem halogenhaltigen Alkohol in Kontakt gebracht. Falls erforderlich, kann er auch mit einem Kohlenwasserstoff wie Hexan, Heptan, Octan, Cyclohexan, Benzol, Toluol oder Xylol gewaschen und, falls nötig, getrocknet werden, ehe man ihn in Kontakt mit dem Alkohol bringt.
- Der Kontakt des im vorstehenden Schritt (3) erhaltenen polyolefinhaltigen Feststoffs mit dem halogenhaltigen Alkohol (Komponente A) kann unter Rühren in Gegenwart eines inerten Mediums erfolgen. Als inertes Medium kann man Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Pentan, Hexan, Heptan, Octan, Decan, Cyclohexan, Benzol, Toluol, Xylol u.ä. verwenden.
- Ebenfalls zum Einsatz kommen können halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe wie 1,2-Dichlorethan, 1,2-Dichlorpropan, 1,2-Dichlorpentan, Kohlenstofftetrachlorid, Butylchlorid, Isoamylchlorid, Brombenzol, Chlorbenzol u.ä.
- Der Kontakt der beiden Substanzen wird üblicherweise über 0,1 bis 100 Stunden bei -20 bis + 150ºC durchgeführt. Wenn der Kontakt exotherm durchgeführt wird, werden die Substanzen zu Beginn bei einer niedrigen Temperatur miteinander in Kontakt gebracht. Wenn die gesamte Menge eingemischt worden ist, wird die Temperatur erhöht, um den Kontakt fortzusetzen.
- Die Komponente A liegt in einem Verhältnis von 0,05 bis 20 Gramm-Mol, bevorzugt 0,1 bis 10 Gramm-Mol pro Grammatom Magnesium im Feststoff vor. Das durch den Kontakt des Feststoffs und der Komponente A erhaltende feste Produkt wird anschließend in Kontakt gebracht, kann falls erforderlich jedoch zuvor mit dem vorstehend beschriebenen inerten Medium gewaschen werden.
- Der Kontakt des festen Produkts, der Elektronendonorverbindung (Komponente B) und der Titanverbindung (Komponente C) kann durch jedes der folgenden Verfahren erfolgen: (a) ein Verfahren, bei dem das feste Produkt mit der Komponente B und dann der Komponente C in Kontakt gebracht wird, (b), ein Verfahren, bei dem das feste Produkt mit der Komponente C und dann mit der Komponente B in Kontakt gebracht wird, und (c) ein Verfahren, bei dem das feste Produkt gleichzeitig mit den Komponenten B und C in Kontakt gebracht wird.
- Jeder der vorstehend beschriebenen Kontakte kann durch Mischen und Rühren in An- oder Abwesenheit eines inerten Mediums durchgeführt werden. Als inertes Medium kann man die vorstehend beschriebene Verbindung verwenden.
- Der Kontakt des festen Produkts mit den Komponenten B und C erfolgt im allgemeinen über 0,5 bis 20 Stunden bei 0 bis 200ºC. Die Menge der Komponente B beträgt im allgemeinen 0,005 bis 10 Mol, bevorzugt 0,01 bis 1 Mol, pro 1 Grammatom Magnesium im festen Produkt und die der Komponente C beträgt üblicherweise mindestens 0,1 Mol, bevorzugt 1 bis 50 Mol pro 1 Grammatom Magnesium im festen Produkt.
- Der Kontakt des festen Produkts mit der Komponente C kann zweimal oder öfter auf die gleiche Weise wie vorstehend beschrieben erfolgen. Das Kontaktprodukt kann bei Bedarf mit einem inerten Medium gewaschen und dann vermischt und mit der Komponente C (und dem Medium) in Kontakt gebracht werden.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Katalysatorkomponente kann wie vorstehend beschrieben hergestellt werden. Falls erforderlich kann sie jedoch mit einem Kohlenwasserstoff wie Hexan, Heptan, Octan, Cyclohexan, Benzol, Toluol, Xylol usw. gewaschen und bei Bedarf außerdem getrocknet werden.
- Die erfindungsgemäß erhaltene Katalysatorkomponente kann als Katalysator für die Homopolymerisation eines Olefins oder für dessen Copolymerisation mit anderen Olefinen in Kombination mit einer organischen Verbindungen aus Metallen der Gruppe I bis III des Periodensystems verwendet werden.
- Als organometallische Verbindung kann man organische Verbindungen von Lithium, Magnesium, Calcium, Zink und Aluminium verwenden. Vor allem organische Aluminiumverbindungen werden bevorzugt verwendet. Als diese organometallische Verbindung kann man alle der vorstehend für die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen katalytischen Komponente verwendeten Verbindungen einsetzen. Insbesondere Trialkylaluminiumverbindungen wie Triethylaluminium und Triisobutylaluminium werden bevorzugt.
- Zusätzlich zu den organischen Aluminiumverbindungen kann man auch andere organische Metallverbindungen verwenden, z.B. Diethylmagnesium, Ethylmagnesiumchlorid, Diethylzink, LiAl(C&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub4;, LiAlC&sub7;H&sub1;&sub5;)&sub4; u.ä.
- Darüber hinaus können die organometallischen Verbindungen allein oder in Kombination mit Elektronendonorverbindungen verwendet werden. Als Elektronendonorverbindung kann man alle Elektronendonorverbindungen mit der Komponente C verwenden, wie sie für die Herstellung der Katalysatorkomponente in Schritt (5) verwendet werden. Möglich sind auch Heteroatome enthaltende Verbindungen, die zusammen mit den organischen Aluminiumverbindungen für den gleichen Zweck im vorstehenden Schritt (3) verwendet werden.
- Diese Elektronendonorverbindungen können in Kombination von zwei oder mehreren verwendet werden. Einsetzen kann man sie, wenn die organische Metallverbindung in Kombination mit der Katalysatorkomponente verwendet wird oder zuvor mit der organischen Metallverbindung in Kontakt gebracht wurde.
- Die Menge der für die erfindungsgemäße Katalysatorkomponente verwendeten organischen Metallkomponente beträgt im allgemeinen 1 bis 2000 Mol, bevorzugt 20 bis 500 Mol pro 1 Grammatom Titan in der Katalysatorkomponente.
- Das Verhältnis der organischen Metallverbindung zur Elektronendonorverbindung beträgt im allgemeinen 0,1 bis 40 Grammatom, vorzugsweise 1 bis 25 Grammatom der organischen Metallverbindung als Aluminium auf 1 Mol der Elektronendonorverbindung.
- Der wie vorstehend erhaltene, aus der Katalysatorkomponente und der organischen Metallverbindung (sowie der Elektronendonorverbindung) bestehende Katalysator ist geeignet für die Homopolymerisation von Monoolefinen mit 2 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen oder deren Copolymerisation mit anderen Monoolefinen oder Diolefinen mit 3 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen. Besonders geeignet ist er für die Homopolymerisation von α-Olefinen mit 3 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen, z.B. Propylen, But-1-en, 4-Methyl-pent-1- en, Hex-1-en usw., sowie für die statistische oder Blockcopolymerisation der vorstehend beschriebenen α- Olefine miteinander und/oder Ethylen.
- Die Polymerisationreaktion erfolgt entweder in der gasförmigen oder der flüssigen Phase. Im Fall der flüssigen Phase wird die Polymerisation in einem inerten Kohlenwasserstoff wie n-Butan, i-Butan, n-Pentan, i-Pentan, Hexan, Heptan, Octan, Cyclohexan, Benzol, Toluol oder Xylol oder in einem flüssigen Monomer durchgeführt. Die Polymerisationstemperatur beträgt im allgemeinen -80 bis +150ºC, bevorzugt 40 bis 120ºC, und der Polymerisationsdruck kann beispielsweise 1 bis 60 atm betragen. Die Kontrolle des Molekulargewichts des dabei entstehenden Polymeren erfolgt in Gegenwart von Wasserstoff oder anderen bekannten Mitteln zur Regulierung des Molekulargewichts. Bei der Copolymerisation eines Olefins beträgt die Menge anderer Polyolefine, die mit dem Olefin copolymerisiert werden sollen, im allgemeinen höchstens 30 Gew.-%, vor allem 0,3 bis 15 Gew.-%. Die Polymerisationsreaktion durch das erfindungsgemäße Katalysatorsystem erfolgt unter den üblicherweise eingesetzten Bedingungen entweder kontinuierlich oder chargenweise. Die Copolymerisationsreaktion kann entweder in einer oder in mehreren Stufen durchgeführt werden.
- Die Erfindung wird durch die folgenden Beispiele und Anwendungsbeispiele genauer veranschaulicht. Darin gelten Prozent (%) wenn nicht anders angegeben als Gew.-%.
- Der in Heptan unlösliche Gehalt [nachstehend mit "HI" (heptane-insoluble) bezeichnet], der den Anteil eines kristallinen Polymeren im Polymer zeigt, ist eine rückständige Menge, die man durch Extraktion des Produkts mit siedendem n-Heptan mittels eines Soxleth-Extraktors vom verbesserten Typ über 6 Stunden erhält. Die Schüttdichte wurde gemäß ASTM-D 1895-69, Verfahren A, gemessen.
- 8,5 g (0,35 Mol) metallisches Magnesium (Reinheit: 99,5 %, durchschnittlicher Korndurchmesser: 1,6 mm) vom Spantyp und 200 inl n-Hexan wurden unter einer Stickstoffatmosphäre in einen mit einem Rückflußkondensator ausgerüsteten 1000 ml-Reaktor eingebracht und 1 Stunde bei 60ºC gerührt. Das metallische Magnesium wurde aus dem Reaktor genommen und unter reduziertem Druck bei 60ºC getrocknet, um zuvor aktiviertes metallisches Magnesium zu erhalten.
- Dem metallischen Magnesium gab man 147 ml Di-n-butylether zu. Diesem setzte man eine gemischte Lösung aus 40,1 ml n-Butylchlorid und 53,3 ml Di-n-butylether tropfenweise unter Rühren zu und rührte 1,5 Stunden bei 70ºC weiter.
- Das Reaktionssystem wurde auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und eine gemischte Lösung aus 55,4 ml (0,33 Mol) Ethylorthoformat [HC(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub3;] und 3,7 ml (0,018 Mol) Tetraethoxytitan tropfenweise unter Rühren zugegeben. Anschließend wurde die Temperatur allmählich auf 80ºC angehoben und bei dieser Temperatur zwei Stunden weitergerührt. Der entstehende Feststoff wurde bei 60ºC sechsmal mit 300 ml n-Hexan gewaschen und unter reduziertem Druck eine Stunde bei Raumtemperatur getrocknet. Dadurch erhielt man 30,8 g eines Feststoffs (Feststoff A).
- 2,6 g des Feststoffs A und 338 g n-Hexan wurden in einen mit Stickstoff gespülten 500 ml Glasautoklaven eingebracht. Die Gasphase wurde bei Raumtemperatur entfernt und dann Ethylen eingeleitet, um das n-Hexan mit Ethylengas zu sättigen. Dann wurden 37,5 m einer n- Heptanlösung von Diethylaluminiumchlorid (1,0 Mol/l als Al) zugesetzt und Ethylen polymerisiert. Die Polymerisation wurde fortgesetzt, bis die gebildete Polyethylenmenge 1,1 g erreicht hatte, und die Ethylenzufuhr dann gestoppt. Die feste Phase wurde fünfmal bei Raumtemperatur mit 400 ml n-Hexan gewaschen, um eine Aufschlämmung des Feststoffs (Feststoff B) in n-Hexan herzustellen.
- Die Aufschlämmung von Feststoff B wurde dekantiert, um das n-Hexan zu entfernen und mit 25,9 g n-Heptan in einem 200 ml-Kolben beschickt. Dazu gab bei man bei Raumtemperatur 5,6 ml einer n-Heptanlösung mit 1,5 ml 2,2,2-Trichlorethan und rührte bei der gleichen Temperatur eine weitere Stunde. Dann wurde das Produkt viermal mit 100 ml n-Heptan und zweimal mit 100 ml Toluol gewaschen, um eine feste Komponente zu erhalten.
- Der vorstehend beschriebenen festen Komponente setzte man 40 ml Toluol und Titantetrachlorid zu, um ein Volumenverhältnis von Titanchlorid zu Toluol von 3/2 zu ergeben; dann wurde die Temperatur auf 80ºC erhöht. Unter Rühren wurde eine gemischte Lösung aus 2 ml Di-n- butylphthalat und 5 ml Toluol tropfenweise zugesetzt und 2 Stunden bei 80ºC gerührt. Das resultierende feste Material wurde durch Filtration abgetrennt und zweimal bei 75ºC mit 100 ml Toluol gewaschen. Außerdem wurde Titantetrachlorid zugesetzt, um ein Volumenverhältnis von Tetrachlorid zu Toluol von 3/2 zu erhalten, und 2 Stunden bei 80ºC gerührt. Das dabei entstehende feste Material wurde durch Filtration bei 80ºC abgetrennt und dann siebenmal bei Raumtemperatur mit 100 ml n-Hexan gewaschen, wodurch man 3,4 g einer Katalysatorkomponente erhielt.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß das Waschen mit n-Hexan nach der vorausgehenden Polymerisation entfiel; auf diesem Weg wurde eine Katalysatorkomponente hergestellt.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß kein Tetraethoxytitan verwendet wurde und die vorausgehende Polymerisation nach dem Kontakt mit Ethylorthoformat entfiel; auf diese Weise erhielt man eine katalytische Komponente. Diese katalytische Komponente wurde ähnlich wie in Beispiel 1 einer vorausgehenden Polymerisation unterzogen, um eine Katalysatorkomponente herzustellen.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man n-Octylchlorid anstelle des in Beispiel 1 als halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoff verwendeten n-Butylchlorids verwendete; auf diese Weise wurde eine Katalysatorkomponente hergestellt.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man Si(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub4; anstelle des als Alkoxykomponente in Beispiel 1 verwendeten Ethylorthoformats verwendete.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man Tetra-n-butoxytitan anstelle des in Beispiel 1 als Titanalkoxid verwendeten Tetraethoxytitans verwendete; auf diese Weise erhielt man eine Katalysatorkomponente.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man p-Chlorphenol anstelle des in Beispiel 1 als halogenhaltigen Alkohol verwendeten 2,2,2-Trichlorethanols verwendete; auf diese Weise erhielt man eine Katalysatorkomponente.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man p-Cresol anstelle das in Beispiel 1 als Elektronendonorverbindung verwendeten Di-n-butylphthalats verwendete; auf diese Weise erhielt man eine katalytische Komponente.
- Beispiel 3 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man die Katalysatorkomponente ähnlich wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 herstellte, um eine Katalysatorkomponente herzustellen.
- Beispiel 4 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man die Katalysatorkomponente ähnlich wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 herstellte.
- Beispiel 5 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man die Katalysatorkomponente ähnlich wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 herstellte.
- Beispiel 6 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man die Katalysatorkomponente ähnlich wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 herstellte.
- Beispiel 7 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man die Katalysatorkomponente ähnlich wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 herstellte.
- 10 mg der in Beispiel 1 erhaltenen Katalysatorkomponente, 4 ml einer Lösung mit 0,1 Mol Triethylaluminium in 1000 ml n-Heptan und 2 ml einer Lösung mit 0,04 Mol Phenyltriethoxysilan in 100 ml n-Heptan wurden vermischt, 5 Minuten gehalten und dann unter einer Stickstoffatmosphäre in einen mit einer Rührvorrichtung ausgerüsteten 1500 ml Aktoklaven aus rostfreiem Stahl eingebracht. Dann wurden 300 ml Wasserstoffgas als Regulator des Molekulargewichts und 1000 ml flüssiges Propan unter Druck in das Reaktionssystem eingebracht; nachdem die Temperatur des Reaktionssystems auf 70ºC erhöht worden war, wurde das Propylen eine Stunde lang polymerisiert. Dadurch erhielt man Polypropylen mit einer katalytischen Aktivität von 20.700 g/g Katalysatorkomponente; das Propylen hatte einen HI von 96,8 % und eine Schüttdichte von 0,39 g/cm².
- Die in Beispiel 1 erhaltene Katalysatorkomponente wurde in ein mit Stickstoffgas gespültes Glasgefäß eingebracht, versiegelt, bei 40ºC 30 und 60 Tage gelagert und dann einer Propylenpolymerisation unterzogen. Die Propylenpolymerisation erfolgte auf die gleiche Weise wie vorstehend beschrieben. Man erhielt die in Tabelle aufgeführten Ergebnisse, aus denen hervorgeht, daß sich der Katalysator auch nach Lagerung kaum verschlechtert.
- Das Verfahren von Anwendungsbeispiel 1 wurde wiederholt mit dem Unterschied, daß man anstelle der Katalysatorkomponente von Beispiel 1 die in den Beispielen 2 bis 7 und den Vergleichsbeispielen 1 bis 6 erhaltenen Katalysatorkomponenten verwendete. Dadurch erhielt man die in Tabelle 1 aufgeführten Ergebnisse. - Die erfindungsgemäße Katalysatorkomponente eignet sich als Katalysator für die Herstellung von Polyolefinen, insbesondere isotaktischem Polypropylen, statistischen Copolymeren von Ethylen und Propylen und Blockcopolymeren von Ethylen und Propylen.
- Der Polymerisationskatalysator, in dem die erfindungsgemäße Katalysatorkomponente verwendet wird, weist eine hohe Polymerisationsaktivität und Stereoregularität auf und kann Olefinpolymerpulver ergeben, die jeweils eine hohe Schüttdichte aufweisen. Darüberhinaus nimmt bei dieser Katalysatorkomponente die Polymerisationsaktivität auch nach längerer Lagerung kaum ab.
Claims (6)
1. Katalysatorkomponente zur Olefinpolymerisation, welche durch In-Kontakt-bringen
(a) von metallischem Magnesium mit
(b) einem halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoff entsprechend der allgemeinen Formel
RX, in der R einen Kohlenwassserstoffrest mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen und
X ein Halogenatom darstellt,
anschließendes In-Kontakt-bringen mit
(c) einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel X¹nM(OR¹)n-m, in der X¹ ein
Wasserstoffatom, ein Halogenatom oder eine Kofflenwasserstoffgruppe mit 1
bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen, M ein Bor-, Kohlenstoff-, Muminium-,
Silicium- oder Phosphoratom und R¹ einen Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit 1 bis 20
Kohlenstoffatomen ist und in die Atomvalenz von M bedeutet und m ≥ n ≥ 0 gilt,
und
(d) einem Titanalkoxid der allgemeinen Formel Ti(OR²)&sub4;, in der R² einen
Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, und danach
In-Kontakt-bringen des daraus resultierenden Feststoffs mit (e) einem Olefin in
Anwesenheit (f) einer Organoaluminiumverbindung und anschließend mit (g) einem
häiogenhaltigen Alkohol und weiter mit (h) einem Elektronendonor und (i) einer
Titanverbindung erhalten wird.
2. Katalysatorkomponente gemäß Anspruch 1, bei der der halogenierte
Kohlenwasserstoff ein chlorierter oder bromierter Kohlenwasserstoff ist, in dem R eine Alkyl-,
Aryl- oder Cycloalkylgruppe mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt.
3. Katalysatorkomponente gemäß Anspruch 1 oder 2, bei der R² eine Alkyl-,
Aryl- oder Cycloalkylgruppe mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt.
4. Katalysatorkomponente gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, bei der
halogenhaltige Alkohol ein chlorhaltiger Alkohol ist.
5. Katalysatorkomponente gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, bei der die
Titanverbindung ein Titantetrahalogenid ist.
6. Verwendung einer Katalysatorkomponente gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche
bei der Olefinpolymerisation.
