Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft leichte, poröse Wärinebarrierestrukturen, die einen Verbundstoff aus einein keramischen Material enthalten, das mit einer nicht-entflammbaren kohlenstoffhaltigen Faserstruktur verstärkt ist. Erfindungsgemäße Verbundstrukturen eignen sich besonders gut zur Verwendung als Wärmebarrieren wie etwa Feuerfestfliesen oder -ziegel, Platten für Ofenverkleidungen, als leichte Abdeckungen etc.. Gegebenenfalls kann die poröse Verbundstruktur init einer metallischen Schicht oder Beschichtung versehen sein.
- Der Stand der Technik offenbart verschiedene keramische Materialien, insbesondere Keramikschäume, die sich als Wärmeisolierungs- oder Feuerfestmaterialien mit feuerhemmenden Eigenschaften eignen. Ebenfalls bekannt zur Verwendung in Turbinen und Öfen sind keramische Fliesen, die an Metallstrukturen gebunden worden sind. Diese keramischen Fliesen sind jedoch als solche schwer und obwohl der Zusatz von Füllmittel die Dichte und somit das Gewicht der keramischen Fliesen verringert, werden auch die mechanischen Eigenschaften beeinträchtigt.
- Für ein Feuerfestmaterial ist es allgemein wünschenswert, daß es gegenüber erhöhten Temperaturen und raschen Temperaturänderungen sowie korrosiven Umgebungen beständig ist, während es Festigkeit und strukturelle Beständigkeit beibehält. Weiterhin ist es wünschenswert, diese Eigenschaften maximal zu verbessern, während die Wärmekapazität und die Wärmeleitfähigkeit minimal sind.
- Heute sind viele Typen von Feuerfestmaterialen verfügbar, die von sehr dichten, geschmolzenen, gegossenen Feuerfestmaterlalien zu hochisolierenden Verbund-Feuerfestmaterialien reichen, die Füllmittel wie etwa Fasern enthalten. Die faserhaltigen Feuerfestmaterialien besitzen eine niedrige Wärmeleitfähigkeit und eine geringe Wärmekapazität, wobei diese beiden Eigenschaften wünschenswert sind. Es gibt jedoch bei Verbundfaser-Feuerfestmaterialien auftretende Nachteile wie etwa geringe Tragfähigkeit und geringe Korrosionsbeständigkeit zusammen mit Schrumpfen im höheren Temperaturbereich der Anwendung. Die Feuerfestmaterialien der dichten und isolierenden Art besitzen im allgemeinen eine gute Festigkeit bei einer Arbeitstemperatur und können aus korrosions- und erosionsbeständigen Materialien hergestellt werden. Die Nachteile dieser dichten Materialien, sei es im vorgeformten oder monolithischen Typ, sind, daß sie aufgrund ihrer inhärenten Masse eine relativ hohe Wärmekapazität besitzen. Aufgrund der hohen Wärmekapazität sind die Energieerfordernisse, um diese dichten Feuerfestmaterialien auf eine Arbeitstemperatur zu bringen, viel größer als bei den Verbundfaser-Feuerfestmaterialien.
- Bei Keramik/Metall-Verbund-Feuerfestmaterialien können Risse als Ergebnis der unterschiedlichen Ausdehnungskoeffizienten zwischen dem Metall und dem keramischen Material auftreten.
- Frühere Versuche zur Lösung solcher Probleme bestanden darin, Ausdehnungsspalten vorzusehen oder eine diskontinuierliche Keramikschicht zu verwenden.
- Es ist bekannt, Beschichtungen von keramischen Materialien und Metallen durch Bedampfen aufzubringen. Das allgemeine Thema der Bedampfung ist in einem Artikel von R.F. Bunshah "Journal of Vacuum Science of Technology, " Vol. 11, Nr. 4, Juli/August 1974 beschrieben. Das Aufbringen keramischer Materialien durch Bedampfen wird hauptsächlich in der Halbleiter- und in der optischen Industrie verwendet, wo extrem dünne Beschichtungen von Keramikmaterialien verwendet werden.
- Bei der Bedampfung wird ein zu beschichtender Gegenstand über ein Becken mit geschmolzenem Material der geeigneten Zusammensetzung wie etwa Metall gehalten, das verdampft. Dann kondensiert der Dampf auf dem Gegenstand und beschichtet ihn. Dieses Verfahren wird in einer Reihe von Anwendungsformen verwendet, einschließlich dem Aufbringen metallischer Überzüge auf Gasturbinenmotorteile. Das Aufbringen auf Gasturbinenmotorteile ist im "Journal of Vacuum Science of Technology, " Vol. 11, Nr. 4 Juli/August 1974, Seiten 641 bis 646 in einem Artikel von Boone et al. beschrieben.
- Das U.S.-Patent Nr. 4,568,595, Morris, offenbart netzförmige Keramiken mit einer Porenverteilung zwischen 2 und 50 Poren pro Zentimeter.
- Die europäische Patentveröffentlichung Nr. 0199567, veröffentlicht am 29. Oktober 1986 von McCullough et al., mit dem Titel "Carbonaceous Fibers with Spring-Like Reversible Deflection and Method of Manufacture" offenbart nicht-lineare kohlenstoffhaltige Fasern, die vorteilhaft in den erfindungsgemäßen Verbundstrukturen verwendet werden.
- WO-Veröffentlichung Nr. 88/02695, veröffentlicht am 21. April 1988 mit dem Titel "Sound and Thermal Insulation" von McCullough et al. offenbart ebenfalls nicht-lineare kohlenstoffhaltige Fasern und Faserstrukturen, die günstigerweise in den erfindungsgemäßen Verbundstrukturen verwendet werden.
- Es ist ein besonderes Ziel der Erfindung, eine poröse Feuerfeststruktur mit verbesserten Tragfähigkeitseigenschaften und einer verbesserten Korrosions-Erosionsbeständigkeit bereitzustellen. Erfindungsmäße Feuerfeststrukturen sind leicht und besitzen eine geringe Wärmeleitfähigkeit, eine geringe Wärmekapazität und eine verbesserte Hitzeschockbeständigkeit.
- Erfindungsgemäß wird eine poröse Verbundstruktur bereitgestellt, die eine heiß-fixierte poröse Keramikzusammensetzung und eine nicht-entf lammbare verstärkende kohlenstoffhaltige Faser oder Faserstruktur enthält.
- Die hier verwendete Bezeichnung "kohlenstoffhaltige Faserstruktur" soll ein Multifilamentkabel oder -garn, das aus vielen Filamenten besteht, eine Vielzahl von verflochtenen kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern, die einen wolleartigen Flaum bilden, eine nicht-gewebte Watte, eine Matte oder einen Filz, eine gewebte Matte, ein Scrim oder einen gewirkten bzw. gestrickten Stoff, z.B. eine Rechts-Linksware oder dgl. umfassen. Wenn die Struktur in Form einer Watte ist, kann sie durch gebräuchliche Nadelungsmittel hergestellt werden.
- Die hier verwendete Bezeichnung "Verbundstruktur" soll eine poröse, heiß-fixierte, keramische Zusammensetzung umfassen, wobei innerhalb der keramischen Zusammensetzung eine kohlenstoffhaltige Faserstruktur dispergiert oder verteilt ist. Die Bezeichnung "Verbundstruktur" soll ebenfalls eine kohlenstoffhaltige Faserstruktur umfassen, in der die Faserstruktur mit einer Schicht der keramischen Zusammensetzung überzogen ist, um eine Struktur mit relativ hoher Porosität zu bilden.
- Figur 1 ist eine perspektivische Ansicht einer Ausführungsform der Erfindung von einem porösen Verbundblock, der ein keramisches Material mit einer Watte kohlenstoffhaltiger Fasern umfaßt und
- Figur 2 ist eine Querschnittansicht einer anderen Ausführungsform der Erfindung von einem porösen Verbundblock, der ein keramisches Material umfaßt, das eine Vielzahl von kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasermatten enthält.
- Unter besonderer Bezugnahme auf Figur 1 wird dort eine Ausführungsform eines porösen Verbundblocks 10 offenbart, der eine Watte von kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern 14 dispergiert innerhalb einer Matrix eines keramischen Materials 16 enthält. Das keramische Material enthält eine Vielzahl von Poren 18, die während der Herstellung des Verbundblocks durch gebräuchliche Mittel gebildet werden. Die Fasern 14 sind nicht-linear, so daß die Porosität des Verbundblocks erhöht wird.
- Sofern gewünscht, kann der Verbundblock 10 mit einem Film eines metallischen Materials 12 überzogen werden, wie etwa durch Bedampfen oder durch Sintern.
- In Figur 2 wird eine andere Ausführungsform der Erfindung veranschaulicht, umfassend einen porösen Verbundblock 20, der aus einem keramischen Material 24 gebildet ist, das eine Vielzahl von Poren 26 enthält, in denen eine Vielzahl von gewebten oder nicht-gewebten Matten 22A, 22B, 22C aus kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern eingefügt ist. Es ist klar, daß die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern auch in der Form eines Webstoffes oder eines gewirkten bzw. gestrickten Materials sein können.
- Der Verbundblock enthält günstigerweise von 2 bis 50 Poren pro Zentimeter. Die Porendurchmesser variieren abhängig von der Teilchengröße und den Materialien, die zur Herstellung der porösen Keramikmatrix verwendet werden.
- Die Keramikmaterialien, die bei der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendet werden können, umfassen Oxide oder Gemische von Oxiden, ausgewählt aus einem oder mehreren der folgenden Elemente: Magnesium, Calcium, Strontium, Barium, Aluminium, Scandium, Yttrium, den Lanthaniden, den Aktiniden, Gallium, Indium, Thallium, Silicium, Titan, Zirkonium, Hafnium, Thorium, Germanium, Zinn, Blei, Vanadium, Niob, Tantal, Chrom, Molybdän, Wolfram und Uran. Auch Verbindungen wie etwa die Carbide, Boride und Silikate der Übergangsmetalle können verwendet werden. Andere geeignete keramische Materialien, die man verwenden kann, sind Zirkon-Mullit, Mullit, α-Aluminiumoxid, Sillimanit, Magnesiumsilikate, Zirkon, Petalit, Spodumen, Cordierit und Alumino-Silikate. Geeignete geschützte Produkte sind MATTECEL , vertrieben von Matthey Bishop Inc., TORVEX , vertrieben von E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., W1 , vertrieben von Corning Glass und THERMACOMB , vertrieben von der American Lava Corporation. Ein weiteres nützliches Produkt ist im britischen Patent Nr. 882,484 beschrieben.
- Andere geeignete wirksame Feuerfestmetalloxide umfassen z.B. aktives oder kalziniertes Berylliumoxid, Bariumoxid, Aluminiumoxid, Titanoxid, Hafniumoxid, Zirkoniumoxid, Magnesiumoxid oder Siliciumoxid oder eine Kombination von Metalloxiden wie etwa Boroxid-Aluminiumoxid oder Siliciumoxid-Aluminiumoxid. Vorzugsweise besteht das Feuerfestoxid überwiegend aus Oxiden von einem oder mehreren Metallen der Gruppen II, III und IV des Periodensystems.
- Unter den besonders bevorzugten Verbindungen können YC, TiB&sub2;, HfB&sub2;, VB&sub2;, VC, ,VN, NbB&sub2;, NbN, TaB&sub2;, CrB&sub2;, MoB&sub2; und W&sub2;B genannt werden.
- Günstigerweise werden die in der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendeten Keramikmaterialien aus Oxiden wie etwa TiO&sub2;, Nitriden wie etwa BN, Carbiden wie etwa BC und TiC, Boriden wie etwa TiB&sub2; und TiB, Metallen z.B. Ni, Au und Ti und dgl. ausgewählt.
- Die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern (oder Faserstrukturen), die in den Verbundstrukturen gemäß vorliegender Erfindung verwendet werden, haben einen Kohlenstoffgehalt von mindestens 65 % und einen LOI-Wert von mehr als 40, wenn die Fasern gemäß der Testmethode ASTM D 2863-77 getestet werden. Die Testmethode ist auch als "Sauerstoff-Index" oder "Sauerstoff-Indexwert" bekannt. In dieser Prozedur wird die Konzentration von Sauerstoff in einer O&sub2;/N&sub2; Mischung bestimmt, bei der eine vertikal angebrachte Probe an ihrem oberen Ende entzündet wird und gerade (noch) weiter brennt.
- Die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern sind nicht-entflammbar, nichtlinear, flexibel, ihre Gestalt verformend und dehnbar und besitzen ein reversibles Auslenkungsverhältnis von mehr als 1,2:1 und ein Aspektverhältnis (l/d) von mehr als 10:1. Die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern besitzen vorzugsweise eine sinusförmige oder spiral- bzw. wendelförmige Konfiguration oder eine kompliziertere strukturelle Konfiguration, die eine Kombination der beiden umfaßt. Besonders bevorzugt ist die Konfiguration der kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern sinusförmig. Es ist klar, daß die erfindungsgemäße Verbundstruktur auch lineare kohlenstoffhaltige Fasern mit dem gleichen Kohlenstoffgehalt, d.h. mindestens 65 % und einem LOI-Wert von mehr als 40 enthalten kann. Die Fasern werden günstigerweise in einer Menge von 1 bis 20 Gew.-% auf Basis des Gesamtgewichts der Verbundstruktur, vorzugsweise von 2 bis 5 Gew.-% verwendet.
- Die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern werden aus einer geeigneten Polymervorläuferfaser oder -faserstruktur hergestellt, die stabilisiert ist, wie etwa z.B. durch Oxidation bei einer Temperatur, die für Acrylfasern typischerweise geringer als 250ºC ist. Die stabilisierte Faser oder Faserstruktur wird dann in einem entspannten und unbelasteten Zustand und in einer inerten Atmosphäre für eine ausreichende Zeitdauer hitzebehandelt, um eine hitzeinduzierte Heißfixierungsreaktion zu erzeugen, worin zusätzliche quervernetzende und/oder kettenvernetzende Cyclisierungsreaktionen zwischen den ursprünglichen Polymerketten auftreten.
- Die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern (oder Faserstrukturen), die in den erfindungsgemäßen Verbundstrukturen verwendet werden, können abhängig von der jeweiligen Verwendung der Fasern und der Umgebung, in die die Verbundstrukturen gebracht werden, in drei Gruppen klassifiziert werden. In einer ersten Gruppe haben die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern einen Kohlenstoffgehalt von mehr als 65 %, aber weniger als 85 %, sind elektrisch nicht leitfähig und besitzen keine elektrostatischen ableitenden Eigenschaften, d.h. sie sind nicht in der Lage, eine elektrostatische Ladung abzuleiten.
- Die in der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendete Bezeichnung elektrisch nicht leitfähig bedeutet einen Widerstand von mehr als 4 x 10&sup6; Ohm/cm, wenn man an einem 6K (6000 Filamente) Faserkabel mißt, in dem die einzelnen Fasern jeweils einen Durchmesser von 7 bis 20 Mikrometer besitzen. Der spezifische Widerstand der kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern ist mehr als etwa 10&supmin;¹ Ohm-cm. Der spezifische Widerstand der Fasern wird aus Messungen berechnet, wie sie in der zuvor genannten WO-Veröffentlichung Nr. 88/02695 beschrieben sind.
- Wenn die Faser eine stabilisierte und heiß-fixierte Acrylfaser ist, wurde festgestellt, daß ein Stickstoffgehalt von 19 % oder höher zu einer elektrisch nicht leitfähigen Faser führt.
- In einer zweiten Gruppe werden die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern als teilweise elektrisch leitfähig (d.h. mit einer geringen elektrischen Leitfähigkeit) klassifiziert und besitzen einen Kohlenstoffgehalt von mehr als 65 % aber weniger als 85 %. Eine geringe Leitfähigkeit bedeutet, daß ein 6K-Faserkabel einen Widerstand von 4 x 10&sup6; bis 4 x 10³ Ohm/cm besitzt. Vorzugsweise stammen die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern von stabilisierten Acrylfasern und besitzen einen prozentualen Stickstoffgehalt von 5 bis 35, vorzugsweise von 16 bis 22, besonders bevorzugt von 16 bis 19 % im Falle einer Acryl- Copolymerfaser.
- In einer dritten Gruppe besitzen die Fasern einen Kohlenstoffgehalt von mindestens 85 %. Diese Fasern sind dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie eine hohe elektrische Leitfähigkeit besitzen. Das bedeutet, daß die Fasern im wesentlichen graphitisch sind und einen elektrischen Widerstand von weniger als 4 x 10³ Ohm/cm besitzen. Entsprechend ist der spezifische elektrische Widerstand der Fasern weniger als 10&supmin;¹ Ohm-cm. Diese Fasern eignen sich in Anwendungsformen, wo eine elektrische Erdung oder Abschirmung gewünscht wird.
- Auf die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern der dritten Gruppe kann eine elektrische Leitfähigkeitseigenschaft in der Größenordnung von metallischen Leitern übertragen werden, indem die Fasern (oder Faserstrukturen) auf eine Temperatur oberhalb 1000ºC in einer nicht-oxidierenden Atmosphäre erhitzt werden. Die elektrische Leitfähigkeitseigenschaft kann durch ausgewählte Ausgangsmaterialien wie etwa Pech (Petroleum- oder Kohlenteer), Polyacetylen, Acrylmaterialien, z.B. ein Polyacrylnitrilcopolymer wie etwa PANOX oder GRAFIL -01, Polyphenylen, Polyvinylidenchlorid (SARAN , ein Warenzeichen von The Dow Chemical Company) und dgl. erhalten werden.
- Die Verbundstruktur gemäß vorliegender Erfindung kann unter Verwendung einer beliebigen gebräuchlichen Methode hergestellt werden. Die keramische Zusammensetzung kann beispielsweise unter Rühren mit hoher Geschwindigkeit vermischt werden, um einen Schaum zu erzeugen, und als Schaum zu einer Faserstruktur gegeben werden, die sich auf einem Förderband bewegt, z.B. einem wolleartigen Flaum, einer Watte, einer Matte oder einem Stoff. Ein Vakuum-erzeugender Mechanismus wird bereitgestellt, um den Keramikschaum in die Faserstruktur einzuziehen und dann wird die keramische Zusammensetzung durch Hitze gehärtet. Die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern sind vorzugsweise nicht-linear, was zur Förderung der Porosität der Verbundstruktur dient.
- Eine weitere Methode zur Herstellung der Verbundstruktur besteht darin, die Faserstruktur und eine keramische Zusammensetzung, vorzugsweise als Schaum, in eine Form zu geben und dann die keramische Zusammensetzung vorzugsweise mit Hitze oder Dampf zu härten.
- Das verwendete keramische Materialgemisch kann von 20 bis 70 % eines Keramikmaterials, von 1 bis 10 % eines Keramikmaterials, von 1 bis 10 % Siliciumoxid, von 1 bis 10 % anorganischen Binder, von 0 bis 1 % eines oberflächenaktiven Mittels und den Rest Wasser in einer Menge auf 100 Gew.-% enthalten. Das keramische Materialgemisch wird bis zur Cremebildung unter hoher Scherung vermischt. Es können Viskositätsänderungen gemacht werden. Das oberflächenaktive Mittel unterstützt die Bildung einer Dispersion des keramischen Materials innerhalb des Gemisches. Ein Viskositätsbereich von 250 bis 1500 Centipoise erzeugt ein geeignetes geschäumtes keramisches Gemisch, das anschließend zur kohlenstoffhaltigen Faserstruktur gegeben und zur Erzeugung einer porösen Verbundstruktur gehärtet wird.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung wird weiterhin durch die folgenden Beispiele verdeutlicht, ist aber dadurch nicht beschränkt.
- Die in der Beschreibung angegebenen Mengen sind alles Gewichtsprozent der Zusammensetzung.
- A. Ein Stück von gewirktem Stoff (Links-Rechts-Ware) wurde aus Kabeln (6K) von PANOX OPF (oxidierten PAN-Fasern) hergestellt und bei einer Temperatur von 900ºC hitzebehandelt, um eine kohlenstoffhaltige Faserstruktur zu bilden. Ein einzelnes Kabel der kohlenstoffhaltigen Faser wurde aus dem Gewebe entwirkt und es wurde eine Watte hergestellt.
- B. Ein 2000 Gramm Ansatz einer keramischen Zusammensetzung wurde wie folgt hergestellt:
- Alumina (Aluminiumoxid) 1960 g
- Silica (SiO&sub2;) 100 g
- Bindemittel 200 g
- oberflächenaktives Mittel 5 ml
- Wasser 1000 ml
- Die Materialien wurden bis zur Cremebildung unter hoher Scherung vermischt und die Viskosität wurde auf etwa 500 Centipoise eingestellt.
- Die Watte aus Abschnitt A wurde in ein flaches offenes Gefäß mit Dimensionen von 10 cm x 20 cm und einer Tiefe von 5 cm gelegt. Die keramische Zusammensetzung von Abschnitt B wurde in das Gefäß gegossen, um die Watte vollständig zu bedecken. Das Gefäß wurde dann in einen geheizten Ofen für 20 Minuten gegeben und anschließend abgekühlt, um einen Keramikblock zu erzeugen. Ergebnisse:
- maximale Anwendungstemperatur: 1800ºC
- Hitzeschockbeständigkeit: hervorragend
- Druckfestigkeit: 1102 kPa
- Ein Block eines porösen Verbundstoffs wurde auf gleiche Weise wie zuvor beschrieben hergestellt, aber ohne die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern. Das keramische Material wurde wie folgt getestet:
- maximale Anwendungstemperatur: 1700ºC
- Hitzeschockbeständigkeit: gut
- Druckfestigkeit: 1137 kPa
- Die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern verbesserten die Anwendungstemperatur und die Schockbeständigkeit ohne nennenswerte Änderung in der Druckfestigkeit.
- Sofern erwünscht kann der Block durch Bedampfen mit Metall beschichtet werden oder seine Oberfläche mit einer offenen Flamme gesintert werden.
- Ein Stück gewirkter Stoff aus kohlenstoffhaltigen Faserkabeln (hergestellt aus einer Vorläuferfaser, die bei einer Temperatur von 700ºC behandelt worden war) wurde entwirkt, d.h. die einzelnen Kabel wurden aus dem Stoff entfernt. Die Kabel wurden dann mit einer Shirley-Öffnungsvorrichtung geöffnet, um einen wolleartigen Flaum zu erzeugen. Der Flaum wurde mit einem Polyesterbindemittel in einer Rando Webber Maschine vermischt, um eine Watte zu erzeugen, die 25 % Polyesterbindemittel und 75 % kohlenstoffhaltige Fasern enthielt. Die Watte wurde dann erhitzt, um das Polyesterbindemittel zu schmelzen, so daß der Watte eine größere Beständigkeit verliehen wird (als Bindung bekannt). Die gebundene Watte wurde dann genadelt, um eine größere Verflechtung der Fasern zu erzeugen, so daß die Watte mit einer noch größeren Beständigkeit und Festigkeit versehen wird.
- Die gebundene, genadelte Watte wurde in drei Proben mit Dimensionen von etwa 10 cm x 10 cm und einer Dicke von 5 cm geschnitten. Diese Proben wurden unter einer Stickstoffatmosphäre auf eine Temperatur von 1000ºC erhitzt. Jede Probe wurde in ein separates Gefäß gegeben, das die folgende Zusammensetzung enthielt: Mullit (3Al&sub2;O&sub3; 2SiO&sub2;) 1960 g Silica 100 g Bindemittel 200 g oberflächenaktives Mittel 5 ml Wasser 1000 ml Lithiumaluminiumsilikat 1960 g Zirkoniumoxid (ZiO&sub2;) 1960 g
- Es wurden Vergleichsproben eines keramischen Materials ohne Fasern hergestellt.
- Alle Gefäße wurden in einen Töpferofen gegeben und für 1 Stunde gebacken und dann abgekühlt. Ergebnisse: Mullit mit Fasern Mullit ohne Fasern maximale Anwendungstemperatur Druckfestigkeit psi (kPa) Hitzeschock hervorragend Lithiumaluminiumsilikat mit Fasern Lithiumaluminiumsilikat ohne Fasern maximale Anwendungstemperatur Druckfestigkeit psi (kPa) Hitzeschock hervorragend Zirkoniumoxid mit Fasern Zirkoniumoxid ohne Fasern maximale Anwendungstemperatur Druckfestigkeit psi (kPa) Hitzeschock hervorragend
Claims (12)
1. Poröse Verbundstruktur, die eine heiß-fixierte poröse
keramische Zusammensetzung und eine nicht-entflammbare
verstärkende kohlenstoffhaltige Faser oder
Faserstruktur umfaßt, worin die kohlenstoffhaltige Faser oder
Faserstruktur nicht-linear ist und ein reversibles
Auslenkungsverhältnis von mehr als 1,2:1 aufweist.
2. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 1, worin die
kohlenstoffhaltige Faser oder Faserstruktur in einer Menge
von 1 bis 20 Gew.-% auf Basis des Gesamtgewichts der
Verbundstruktur vorhanden ist.
3. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, worin die
Verbundstruktur 2 bis 50 Poren pro Zentimeter
enthält.
4. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3, worin die
keramische Zusammensetzung ein Metalloxid ist.
5. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3, worin die
keramische Zusammensetzung eine Titanverbindung
umfaßt, die aus Titannitrid, Titancarbid, Titanborid,
Titansilicid oder Gemischen davon ausgewählt ist.
6. Verbundstruktur nach einem der vorhergehenden
Ansprüche, worin die kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern einen
Kohlensto fgehalt von mehr als 65 %, einen LOI-Wert von
mehr als 40 und ein Aspektverhältnis von mehr als 10:1
aufweisen.
7. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 6, worin die
kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern elektrisch nicht leitfähig sind
und keine elektrostatischen Ableitungseigenschaften
besitzen, wobei die Fasern einen Kohlenstoffgehalt von
mehr als 65 %, aber weniger als 85 % und einen
elektrischen Widerstand von mehr als 4 x 10&sup6; Ohm/cm
aufweisen.
8. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 6, worin die
kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern teilweise elektrisch leitfähig
sind und elektrostatische Ableitungseigenschaften
besitzen, wobei die Fasern einen elektrischen
Widerstand von 4 x 10&sup6; bis 4 x 10³ Ohm/cm aufweisen.
9. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 6, worin die
kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern einen Kohlenstoffgehalt von
mindestens 85 % besitzen und elektrisch leitfähig
sind, wobei die Fasern einen elektrischen Widerstand
von weniger als 4 x 10³ Ohm/cm aufweisen.
10. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 6, worin die
kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern von einem Acryl-Vorläuferpolymer
stammen und die Fasern einen Stickstoffgehalt von 5
bis 35 Gew.-% besitzen.
11. Verbundstruktur nach Anspruch 10, worin die
kohlenstoffhaltigen Fasern einen prozentualen
Stickstoffgehalt von 16 bis 19 % besitzen.
12. Verbundstruktur nach einem der vorhergehenden
Ansprüche, worin die Verbundstruktur eine Metallschicht
enthält.
