Reactions - Offensivtorpedo.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 26. Juli 1877 ab.
A ist ein gufsstählerner Körper, welcher in zwei Kammern getheilt ist, von denen die kleinere B die Sprengladung und den Zünder C, die gröfsere Kammer die gespannten Dämpfe oder comprimirten Gase bezw. Luft enthält, welche letztere durch die mittelst entsprechender Vorrichtung verschliefsbare Oeffnung O zum Entweichen gebracht werden. Die Rippen E dienen zur Führung; S ist ein Steuer, das je nach der Richtung, welche der Torpedo nehmen soll, eingestellt werden kann.
Als Neuheit an der Construction wird beansprucht:
Die directe Benutzung der Reaction ausströmender gespannter Gase bezw. Luft oder Dämpfe zur Fortbewegung von Torpedos oberhalb oder unterhalb des Wassers.
